it started happening yesterday where the home screen starts disappearing and you're only left with the background flickering from time to time, the apps themselves are not deleted and i don't think the issue is related to storage as i still have 20gb+ left,i have a suspecion it's related to memory though, while it says on device care that it's using only 3.9gb,opening any app used before just refreshes the whole thing, while opening any "strong" app that didn't have an issue before triggers the problem, i tried deleting some app cache and optimising memory through device care but it's not helping, what's exactly the issue and is there a way to fix it or make it more manageable? (ignore quality and background)
Hi all, just wondering what phones people have moved on to since having the s20fe?
i tried a s23fe and the screen was somehow worse than the s20fe, not as sharp, also tried a google pixel 8a, screen was about the same as the fe but a smaller phone and has a load of weird google layout things you cant change
Is it ok to use samsung repair assistant to reset my battery cycle and what's the pros and cons
Sup reddit I wanted to know if game booster is worth it on the s20 snap 865 And what emulators work on well on s20 I also have a fan cooler so I don't have to worry About thermal throttling.
Tech support
Hey reddit I would like to know if amazon sell any good s20 battery
So I just bought ap Samsung certified renewed s20 ultra and got it on Thursday. I've noticed the screen has a yellow tinge to it (I have the colour set to cool) and when I'm scrolling on FB the screen suddenly goes brighter then dull again despite adaptive screen and eye shield being off? Is this common?
Received this morning.. I'm already on 1 October 2024, so I'm guessing someone at Samsung forgot to update the month name?π€·π»ββοΈ
Has anyone noticed this as well? S20+ 5G SM-G986U1, when I use the color #FFFFFF at full brightness for things like groups of apps, it will delete the group after some time.
Originally I had this color set for my group of lighting apps and noticed that the group kept disappearing leaving only the first app in it's place, removing the second app from my home screen. Then I tried to set this same color to a Color By Keyword contact and it immediately deleted it when they messaged me, going back to default color.
I found that if I just lower the brightness of the color #FFFFFF it will stay just fine. I set it to 80% and it's been working as expected. I haven't found any other colors to do this yet.
I doubt it would ever be fixed at this point, but I think it's an interesting quirk.
Help. I've spent 10+ hours with tech support, escalated to top tier support and still no resolution. Around Nov 8th, all t mobile users stopped receiving individual texts sent from my AT&T phone (S20 FE 5G). Turning on RCS and SMS fallback on my device made some t-mobile users start getting individual texts. But no t-mobile user receives texts from my phone if its a group text. The group text issue has been going on for several months. Same result whether I'm using Google messages or default sms app. Regardless of my phones location, over wireless or not, etc. I receive their texts and calls just fine. They receive Cals just fine, but no texts from my device. Texts from other AT&T devices are received just fine. T mobile is sure it's an AT&T problem and AT&T is sure it's a t-mobile problem.. We've updated software, reset and rebooted phones, network, etc. Still no resolution.
Last days I've seen an Exponential increase in posts about screen problems. Has it happened for you after November Security patch update for you? I still haven't updated. Unfortunately I will have to, because since previous update my data stopped working
Light usage daily for gaming and nothing else. Back panel decided it wanted out.
If I have AT&T, can I use only a AT&T digitizer? I want to buy a used working phone to specifically get the digitizer. Can any other phones digitizer work?
Seeing if someone wants to sell me their old samsung s20 plus for cheap. Or looking for s20 plus digitizer. Was curious if the reddit community could help me.β
This is a public service announcement lol, maybe it's obvious to everyone, but I had to do a bit of research to finally figure this out.
I switched my home SIM to eSIM a few months ago, so that I could use a physical SIM for traveling to Asia. This worked great, as I could have home voice number still working and also have roaming data when I was in Asia.
I'm traveling to USA tomorrow, and decided to buy a data-only eSIM since the roaming bundles are always expensive. I didn't know this at the time, but I found out just now that I can't have more than 1 eSIM active at the same time. Also, switching eSIM requires rebooting the phone, which is annoying.
It looks like S24 supports Multiple Enabled Profiles (MEP) for two eSIM, but I think it might only be enabled in some regions/carriers.
So I can trade in my s20+ 5g on T-Mobile for $800. And get an s24+ for $200 or $8.33 per month. Should I wait for the S25+ or should I bite the bullet and do it now. I don't have any green lines on my screen... But with all the posts I feel like it's only a matter of time.
Is there any way that the screen will just stay like this and not give up entirely one unexpected day? :))
And why I can't see a lot of cases with the ultra
I have an Exynox S20 that works fine for me and my needs. I also have an Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 connected to the TV and main sound system.
So my preferred way to listen to music is by casting YouTube Music from my phone to my Shield. It has been working fine for years but the last few months I'm experiencing the song playing restarting half way through or at some random point. Then it continues to play and goes on to the next song. This happens maybe every 4 songs.
Any idea what it could be?
I know there are multiple posts but most say s24 or wait for s25, I paid $999 NZD for my S20 in Dec 2020 & I suspect s25 will be double+ that cost which I'm not willing to pay for a phone.
What phone would people recommend (really doesn't have to be SGalaxy), we are limited here in NZ though & tech costs alot more.
I don't game, I chose S20 because I wanted a good camera & video, funnily enough the cameras close up funcrion turned to crap very quickly but its still decent for longer range.
The loss of an SD bothers me. I'm not good with tech, the S20 is going strong still (somehow) but I see alot of people posting about green lines so I know it's a Metter of time & it's also black Friday soon so...
I just updated it 2 weeks ago why is there another one?
I installed the October 1 security patch 1 week ago but just now it downloaded it again and says Update ready to install... Anyone else having this? Is this a bug?
The purple line suddenly appeared. Do yall know any way to fix it beside replacing it? Cus I'm brokeπ
Hii guys so i saved up my money for an s20 UW. ik its UW and there were better choices but i just bought this one bc it felt reasonable. anyways. I have 2 sims and I want to use one of them as an esim. the phone has 1 physical and 1 esim. but the esim is greyed out in the about section. its so fkn annoying
Hello ! I have a Galaxy S20+ which has been showing an intermittent white screen after the latest update in October. Having gone through a few posts it seem like the issue is widespread. Samsung obviously refuses to do anything about it saying the phone is out of warranty. Why are they pushing updates to a phone that's out of warranty if they won't take responsibility for the damage caused by it ? I have filed a complaint with the department of consumer affairs ( am in India ) and hope others can do the same
Am i cooked, because the WHOLE entire screen is just grey, i can't see anything on it, just grey, like it was fine one second then BOOM it's GREY what is going on, is this what screen burn is? π i can tell it's turned on because i can hear the videos playing in the background, but i literally just can't see anything but GREY
Hello. I have the s20 ultra, sadly the exynos 990 version. As you could have already predicted the performance is not good. Actually great in games for the FIRST 5 MINUTES, until it heats up, not even that much but enough for the fps to go under 20 in ANY game. I am wondering if there is a way to remove the thermal throttling thing and never compromise performance for less heat. I feel like most games would run really good if it wasn't for the system limiting itself. Yes i know the phone is old but i am not looking to upgrade it till next year because it is still good for everyday usage, the only problem being gaming that is longer than 5 minutes... anyway thank you in advance, hope to fix this problem.
