My uncle give me his old phone. It only show that on the screen. My uncle thinks it's virus?
I was wanting to get a galaxy s3 or s4 but I was also wondering if it was still supported on any verizon plans.
How do I sign into google on my Samsung s3 Mini? It says my browser isn’t supported. I’m running androidOS 4.2.2
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999L from T-Mobile that's been unlocked and works with all Canadian carriers, even Freedom (I'm in Canada). I want to be able to use social media apps like Instagram and especially Whatsapp (which I think needs at least Android 5), but this device only has Android 4.1.2. I read that later versions of Android can be obtained by downloading ROMs online and setting them up on the phone, but that this process involves changing other things on the phone like the firmware, bootloader and other stuff that I'm not at all familiar with. Can anyone provide a walkthrough of all the things that need to be done and how to do them in order to get a stable ROM on my S3 that isn't too taxing on the battery and works with Google Play Store as well as social media apps?
I have an old Samsung Galaxy S3 that I had when I was in middle school. I found it recently while cleaning and I really want to get all the photos off it. The problem is that I don’t remember the password. I have tried countless possibilities of what it could be but nothing seems to work. I don’t know another way to unlock it without doing a factory reset. Does anyone have any suggestions that wouldn’t involve losing what it currently on the phone?
And if it is legit, from what region is it?
hey i found my old s3 laying arround and i like to use it but i found that its pattern protected and i don't have a home buttun to go to recovery mode and reset it and i didn't had usb debuging how can i do this ??
I already installed beta lineage OS 19.1 (Android 12L) with mindthegapps but battery life outside plane mode is horrible. Cell standby drians like 10% per 10 mins and wifi only drains like 10% per 30 mins (Airplane mode is like 1-2% per hour). I already tested the batteries and they have good capacity (~7,2 Wh).
Is something like Android 7 or RR-N better for the battery life or is it just bad with cellular standby in general? Does somebody has had the same experience with Android 12+?
Will my battery still work
I have downloaded reddit for my samsung galaxy s3 the version is 1.9.3 is still supported? Or there even newer version supported My s3 is running android 4.0.4
Trying to recover data from an s3 i have. The battery was bad and bulged so i bought a brand new one but the power shuts off before i can get to the home screen menu. Really just interested to see what videos and music etc i had on there. I have a macbook and an iphone 11 currently
I own a T-Mobile Galaxy s3 (i535) running Android 4.3 jellybean, are there any custom roms I could use? I tried looking for roms on Google, but they were all for the Verizon variant.
Hi everyone, so I pulled this bad boy out of the drawer and wanted to check my old photos from when I used it in middle school. I got a new battery and everything, but 12-year-old me was apparently a jokester who played the longest-running prank on himself. Now I want to unlock this, but I don't want to do a factory reset – that defeats the whole purpose of getting this up and running. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can remove this password on this phone? I swear it's mine 😅
Picture is what it should look like
"E:failed to verify whole-file signature"
and
"E:signature verification failed"
Googling it seems to imply that I do not have root? Or is it something else? Thanks!
Around 2013 or 2014 i was playing with my sisters (water damaged at the time) s3 and i tripped in the kitchen with the phone in hand and it went out the then open back door and went straight down the gap in our garden deck. Fast forward to june 2023 and i got the phone out but it is covered in what appeared to be dried up fecal matter, how would i clean the phone without damaging it further? I want to try make it work again and even if it doesnt, keep it because i fought with that deck to get the phone out.
Hey , my weather widget dosent work in my location , is there some kind of fix?
samsung s3 android 4.3 jellybean
Is there a way to automatically sort apps on multiple home screens?
(I posted this to the wrong subreddit, but I realized my old phone was an s3 and not an s7)
Hi, I've been wanting to see pics of a dead mall that I took on my phone back when I was still in high school. The problem is it has no sd card, and I remember syncing with google photos all the time. Years later I look and I feel like google deletes random photos, cause I could not find it at all. I found other random photos that were backed up but I specifically remember being crazy about backing up my storage.
That phone broke because it couldn't hold a charge anymore. I had to constantly angle the charger in random positions until it couldn't anymore. I cleaned the usb port a lot with compressed air too, and it still ended up dead.
Two more newer phones later and around 3 or 4 years later, it's currently very dusty sitting on a shelf in another room. It can't even power on and the screen is just completely black.
I also remember the passcode thankfully, but I just want to fix it and transfer the photos over, if they're even accessible. The mall is permanently closed now and I wanted to see the final moments that I took, which are probably just empty stores and the single gnc/bath and bodyworks etc..
I was asked if I had a wireless charger, and then I can't even remember if s3s used those or not. All I know is that it simply won't charge via usb anymore.
Edit: I didn't even get the chance to transfer photos or any data/backups besides through google cause the phone died on me really unexpectedly.
it doesnt seem to show on bluetooth settings whenever i search for devices... is it even compatible?
With low battery draining and high performance on any of android versions
