Hi yall,
This months GWABACKSTAGE Karaoke challenge theme is 2000's so i chose to do an acoustic version of Wherever you will go by the calling.
This is a special version I did after uploading on YT! I very much prefer this one more hahaha. I wanted to line this up for this month's karaoke challenge but I realized, it didn't fit the theme hahaha. Eitherway, Enjoy~~
Howdy everyone, back for another month of karaoke
Before we get started, I want to thank u/insomnia_swede for hosting, and I encourage everyone to check all of the super talented posters on the original post
I'm not gonna lie when I picked this song I truly forgot how high Chris Martin sings it.
But, I gave it a go in the original octave/key and I'm pretty happy with the results
As always only post processing is some reverb(once again courtesy of valhallas free supermassive reverb) although I went pretty heavy with it this time to try and blend it into the song some.
I really love this song and love to sing it even more. Maybe a not so well known song by the The Doors, but one of my favourites. I hope you enjoy listening!

Hello!! First post here in GWABackstage! Glad to be part of the audio community🥰
Here's a little cover of "Are You Bored Yet?" - Wallows back in February 2023, this was when I started finally getting my footing in producing music so I hope y'all enjoy my own production of the song (MIDI stuff, of course).
Planning to release more covers, produced and acoustic and perhaps even join the karaoke challenge every once in a while.
Here's my cover of...
Getting sick in October and around Halloween seems to be an annual tradition for me now.
Nonetheless, I wanted to stick with the karaoke challenge for the month.
So please (try to) enjoy some recovering-from-some-icky-bug JJ!
I don't wanna be a murderer (soundgasm)
Also, don't forget to find more songs from the 00's here!
Since the start of September, I've been interviewing smut writers about all things GWA before performing one of their scripts. This week it is CyborgFairy - a smutmaker who wears many hats, perhaps most prominently right now as a moderator of gwa, dsp and pillowtalk. But he is also a longstanding writer of a range of themes & kinks, a highly prolific audio editor, and an occasional VA. This does not address any of the gwa mod developments as I was talking to him solely about his writing and we recorded a month before the wiki update. It is a bit chaotic even after some vigorous cuts but hopefully an interesting listen.
I hope you enjoy this deep dive and celebrate the people who come up with this cornucopia of carnality.
The intro track was created by u/daliafolia using the music Let's Dance (Instrumental) by Jet Everill, available royalty-free with permission via EpidemicSound.com and her own foley. Thank you, Dalia!

Here we go again... I finished editing this one after work today.
Thankfully, I was able to think of a new idea for a script and finish up some other ones. Hopefully there won't be another one of these for a while. Crossing my fingers.
But you know what? I think I’m getting better at Audacity! Thank you to everyone who reached out to me and gave me advice. This community has been so supportive and I have loved every minute engaging with everyone!

Okay, so I’ve been having *really* bad writer’s block lately. I’ve started a couple of scripts but just can’t seem to find the right words to finish them off and now I’m stressin’.
When hobbies of mine start to feel like work, I need to take a step back. Though I love putting out content for others to enjoy, the last thing I want to do is turn something I find fun and inspiring into overwhelming responsibility. This is a reminder to myself to take a break every now and then—thus “Writer’s Block Edition” karaoke is born! If I ever get writer’s block in the future, I’ll definitely post more of these.
It also gives me a good excuse to teach myself audio-editing and put myself on the other side of my scripts. I would absolutely love any pointers or advice. That being said, I do not plan on investing in equipment at this point in time!

Anyway... here’s my cover of

I've noticed that most of the content I see in r/gonewildaudio is in script form, as opposed to narrative form. I'm not sure if some of the stuff I'm planning to release, particularly from "My Free Use Office," will be particularly well-received, as a result.
I know that Literotica hosts that kind of stuff, but the webmasters there take forever to get anything done, so I don't want to rely solely on them.
Any opinions/advice welcome. Thanks!
- Jonny
Since the start of September, I've been interviewing smut writers about all things GWA before performing one of their scripts. This week it is SomeMeanScripts - one of the writers behind the recent surge in popularity of rough Msub noncon content. Join us as we consider what thrills and repels about the darker side of smut and why, as a native German speaker, he finds it easier to write porn in English.
I hope you enjoy this deep dive and celebrate the people who come up with this cornucopia of carnality.

Since my content has a lot of voice experimentation and trying out new techniques, my throat gets really scratchy and dry after a difficult session. I've heard of people being able to warm up/cool down to avoid this, what's your go-to method? (I also have a really bad sore throat rn, any tips on getting my voice back would be appreciated!)
Being from a Korean household, I'd usually just gargle with warm salt water, but prevention is always better than cure, right?
I've been recording for years now in the same location with virtually the same set up, but lately I'm experiencing two issues, that I'm really hoping someone can help me with.
Issue 1
Issue 2
My lap top is making a very high pitched squealing noise that I imagine is from it over heating. I can't seem to stop that from happening and it ends up in my audios too (you can hear it in the last few seconds of the same sample HERE) I'm wondering how I can either stop my lap top from whistling or properly edit out the noise without affecting the quality of the dialogue?
Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
~Lacey
Just wanted to share this one. It's all in French.
Decided I would try my hand at another song for the 00ctober Karaoke Challenge, see challenge here
What can I say, apparently, I have a connection with people named Amy 😊

Enjoy 🙏🏾
If you want to listen to my other challenge song, “Call Me When You’re Sober”
Hello GWABackstage! I return with my second submission for the GWA Backstage Karaoke Challenge for the month of October, which you can find here. The challenge this month is to sing songs from the 00s. One might think the 2000s, but any decade ending in 00 counts here. So I'm doing a vintage song, written in 1908 and made popular by married vaudeville team Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth. If you'd like to learn more about the song, it has it's own wikipedia page here. Because so many people have covered it over the years, it was hard to pin down an actual artist to assign this song to. It's really a jazz/pop standard now, and that is the inspiration in my take on this classic. I hope you enjoy, and you can find my other song for this month here. You can also find other songs I've song here.
There are some songs that make me want to cry, and still they are so Beautiful! This awesome hit sung by Chrstina Aguilera is one of those, and it also brings back memories.💙 .
This is my 2nd song from the 00s in the Backstage Challenge of this month! Check more songs there from talented Backstagers. 🎵 YOU are all:
🎵 BEAUTIFUL 🎵 💙
The original is from 2002, written by Linda Perry, and has become a signature song for Aguilera. I made a simple version with my Crafton guitar and "a little help from myself" that I hope you will enjoy. *Words can’t bring us down...*💙 .
My other songs can be found Here.
I had a conversation last night with a listener who was very concerned they were not sexy and never would be. This audio is for them, and everyone else (basically everyone) who ever thought they weren’t sexy “enough.”
As the tags indicate, I talk about a lot of different body types and features.
This is not fantasy. These are my real experiences, in person, in the “real” world. My hope is that someone may find it helpful as they decide what they think is sexy and what is sexy about themselves. I got news for you: it has very little to do with your physical attributes. Just hear me out. 😘

17 years since this song came out... oh my goodness. 🙈 I got so excited for this challenge just because of how much nostalgia it brings me. Well.. nostalgia as well as cringe- not for the music that came out during those years but just.. other things. 🤭 I hope you enjoy this cover though. ♡
This month's challenge!
Hello GWABackstage! I'm back for another round of GWA Backstage Karaoke Challenge for the month of October, which you can find here.
Once I found out the theme for this month, songs from the 00s I knew exactly the song I wanted to do. As a Canadian, I had to submit a song from one of our legendary artists, the Queen of the 00s, Avril Lavigne herself. This song, from 2002, has a lot of sweet memories attached to it. It was the soundtrack to the first time I saw the Canadian Rocky Mountains as a preteen. I hope you enjoy and find my second submission here.
Not sure how I feel about the fact that it’s been 18 years since this song came out. Especially, considering I can recall the first time I watched the music video 😌
I really enjoyed singing this song for the 00ctober Karaoke Challenge…check out the challenge here
This was a lot of fun to do…I may have to consider doing a second song for this challenge
Call Me When You’re Sober (3:32)

Hope you enjoy 🙏🏾
Wow! I had a lot of fun with this month's GWAB Karaoke challenge: songs from the 00’s! It also happens to be my first post to r/GWABackstage... So think of this as my introduction! ❤️
I decided to sing Thunder by Boys Like Girls, which was written by their lead vocalist, Martin Johnson, and was released in 2008.
If you want to participate in this challenge too, you can find the October post here: GWABK24
Thank you to u/insomnia_swede for hosting this month's challenge!
Anyway... wanna listen to the thunder ?🎤🎶
I had a lot of fun doing this last month so I'm back at it this month for 00ctober, songs of the 2000s! I sang my middle school aged heart out to this song when it was popular so I just had to cover it 🥰.
If you want to participate in this months challenge as well ⤵️

I did switch the female pronouns to male and vice versa to fit my voice better. The background music is provided by Acoustic Lounge on YT. Anyway!
I only learned of this song a little while ago. I was looking for something like Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Follow You Into the Dark", since I really enjoyed singing that song. "The First Day of My Life" was one of the top suggestions, and it turned out to be a pretty darn good one. The fact that it also fits for this month's karaoke challenge is a bonus. If you'd like to join us (either singing or listening), head on over; there's still plenty of time to sign up, or find out what other songs to look forward to this month.
#Yours was the first face that I saw There's also a Whyp version if you're hearing the same static as I am, and it's bugging you.

I've loved this song forever, and I really wanted to turn it into a duet, so I was so happy when u/ArtIndependent2270 agreed to sing it with me! It's got such a catchy beat, and the music video has always stuck in my head. I also have to thank her for her patience, because we recorded this months ago, and I've been hoping that the right monthly challenge would come along to post it. Anyway, we had a lot of fun putting it together, and we hope you enjoy listening to it!
#I'm in love and always will be Backing track by KaraFun YT
This song from Shakira is one of my absolute favorite songs from the 00s, both melody and lyrics. Please check more songs from the 00s in the Backstage Challenge of this month! 🎵
Hope you enjoy my song and guitar in this unplugged version. 😊The awesome original was written and sung by Shakira, and is on her great album "Laundry Service" from 2001. I took the liberty to switch the lyrics, being the "good boy" myself. 😅
My other songs air table is Here.
My musical tastes are centred pretty firmly on the 80's, 90's, and 00's, so this month's karaoke challenge, is a real treat. For my first solo entry, I picked a song that I really love, and (most importantly) it's easy for me to sing on key(ish). It's also my favourite post-2000 Weezer song, and for the aficianados out there, I went with the chorus from the original release, because that's the one I prefer. Hope you like it.
