The non-erotic side of GWA.
/r/GWABackstage is a community oriented place for members of the audio subreddits - we serve as a friendly place for users to hang out, have healthy and fun discussions, meet other creators, and learn or share a thing or two! Here you can share tips and tricks of the trade (sfx, mic options, technical aspects of creating sexy audios, etc.), non-erotic work (singing, poetry, questionnaires, etc.), and user guides (safety, editing, writing, etc.) that are helpful to the community.
/r/GWABackstage
I don't know why someone would do that, but I head that there were men in the community who would see that other men had posted and would down vote without even listening...
I know votes don't matter, and I don't usually get bothered by it, but negative points on a post is an entirely separate thing in my mind. Even my WORST (in my opinion) audio has never dipped into the negatives, so imagine my shock when I upload with a tag that a lot of my listeners enjoy... And it almost immediately dips into the negatives. Faster than it would have taken to actually listen to the audio
Are people actually doing this or it just a reddit thing? Or should I work on my quality?
This week in the Wkd Wardrobe, u/ComfortQueen31 joins me to talk about her return to the audio recording community after an extended hiatus and her different approach to her process of creating both erotic and non erotic audio. Whatever you’re doing, get us in your ears!

I'm gonna be real... I hate the holiday season.
I usually start to burn out around this time of year. Work gets harder, hours get longer, and people get meaner. I start counting down the days until this season ends as soon as Thanksgiving is over.
Watching The Muppets Christmas Carol is the only thing that makes me feel better this time of year. This year, I decided to read the actual story and found myself loving it.
I wanted to share that love of the story with all of you, and while I'm no Muppet (not for lack of trying), I think you'll appreciate the story.
I hope to tackle more of the staves as we approach the holiday, but it's a big undertaking, so forgive me if I miss the mark. Please let me know if you like this format, as I love reading (usually aloud to my cats) and would love to share that more outside of porn.
From me to you, Merry Christmas.
Today is Lucia Day, which we celebrate a lot in Sweden. (In ancient time is was the longest night of the year), especially with Music.
So here is a classic tune, just me and my guitar and some Christmas feeling...**🎄...**😊
This song was written by Adolphe Adame, and the original is in French. Here I am combining the English and the Swedish versions in my own style, strumming in G. 😊 There are hundreds or rather thousands of great versions, so please no comparison...
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! .**🎄.**💛
My other songs can be found Here.
Usually, replacing 'www.' with 'new.' in the URL would work, but it just reverts back for some reason. Anyone else with this issue?
It was so hard to pick just one song that I thought would be considered a classic in the future. However, there is something about Sky Fall that has always felt very grand to me. So, I feel safe in waging my karaoke dignity on the fact that this song will certainly be timeless.
Check out the GWAB December Karaoke challenge to see who else has signed up and show everyone some love for their picks too

I love this song to the ends of the Earth. I hope you're all having a good night. 🌹

Amidst making audios, recording has made me more aware of the improvements I can make to my writing. That being said, I also feel like I'm becoming so critical that I'm struggling to finish a script. So... back to singing I go! 😇
I wanted to sing the song ranked number one on my 2024 Spotify Wrapped playlist to toast the end of the year.

Since I'm still pretty new to this, I don't have a lot to share, but you can search for all my audios using GWASI!

Creators support creators! Like the words I'm moaning? I write them for other VAs too! You can find all my scripts and their fills using my Script Master List!
In this audio I'm whispering trying not to wake anyone up... But I hope you enjoy🙂
Hello, GWABK listeners! One of the things I love about the karaoke challenges, is the exposure to new songs that I wouldn't otherwise listen to. That happened almost a year ago, when I first heard Orville Peck's "The Curse of the Blackened Eye", as performed by another GWABKC contributor. It's such a great song, so I googled it right away, and I couldn't tell you how many times I listened to it since. Now, I can't hope to replicate the Johnny Cash vibes of the first few lines, but the yodel-y chorus is absolutely up my alley, so if you're into that too, then I hope you enjoy listening to this!
By the way, this month's challenge has just started, so check it out if you're interested in joining, or if you're just curious what songs people are planning to share!
#Boy, just sing the song for Heaven's sake #Static-free Whyp version

If you've never heard of GWAB Karaoke Challenges before, well...
It's a FUN themed challenge we introduce at the beginning of each month. Check out Last Month's Theme to get an idea of how it works! We emphasize FUN because it doesn't matter if you are a Singer or a "Singer"! We welcome any and all participants at any and all levels!
If singing brings you joy, then by golly, by gum we wanna hear you have fun!
The GWAB Karaoke Theme for December is...
Future Classics!
It's common at this time of year to look back on the past 12 months, but for karaoke, I'm looking to the future! Well...kinda. Singing songs that don't exist yet, is a bit of a problem, but what about future classics? By that, I mean songs that haven't really been around long enough to be considered "classics" by most people, but they might...one day. Do you have a favourite recent song, that you think will be regarded as a classic in 10, 20...30 years? Any song released from 2010 until present is fair game, so let's hear them!
When reserving your song, PLEASE include the Title, Artist, and Songwriter credit, so we can appreciate all the individuals who made these hits possible.
If you want some ideas to get the creative juices flowing...

Comment on this post requesting to reserve a song that fits this month's theme. You can reserve up to 2 songs per username. Reservations will be published below as a table on a first come, first serve basis. Any songs you all pick will be listed here, and in an effort to stop fourteen versions of the same from populating the karaoke bar, we only allow one version of a song per language per solo singer, so get your songs/versions reserved ASAP!
Collaborations are more than welcome! Collaborations do not count against the 2 song limit.

The closing date for this GWAB Karaoke Challenge is 11:59pm on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 in UTC/GMT. While this is not a hard deadline, a "That's a Wrap" Post will be posted the following day ^((HOPEFULLY 😬)) and focus will shift to next month's theme. This means we will no longer update the chart so if you wish to have your work shared via that post, ensure you submit on or before the deadline.

Hello hello, first time posting here! I plan to share a little singing every so often :)
I find this song really soothing. Hope my cover evokes that, too 💝

Since the start of September, I've been interviewing smut writers about all things GWA before performing one of their scripts. This week it's missywri1es - a versatile writer perhaps best known for her exploration of human emotions but always surprising with new genres - including shitposts - and new sex scenes. One of the most thoughtful and charming creators in our world, find out how missy views the moral quagmire of dark content and how she deals with imposter syndrome. This one is a bit more like a chat than a one-way interview but it touches on some interesting themes.
I hope you enjoy this deep dive and celebrate the people who come up with this cornucopia of carnality.
The intro track was created by u/daliafolia using the music Let's Dance (Instrumental) by Jet Everill, available royalty-free with permission via EpidemicSound.com and her own foley. Thank you, Dalia!

I tried singing. The audio is unedited so it might be rough around the edges.
Hi! So... It's been a hot minute since I've posted much of anything on my own. Life really be like that sometimes. But I'm here with a cover to help cap off the month! A fitting one at that lol. It's a song touching on nostalgia, so maybe you can reminisce on some nostalgic moments yourself! Enjoy!
Hola! Here is another "Delicious delight" song, "Taste of Me", or as we sing it, "Sabor a Mí". I am very happy to team up with the enchanting Luxwannapop for a duet performance of this classical Mexican bolero:
🎵 SABOR A MÍ 🎵
This favorite song was composed in 1959 by the Mexican singer Alvaro Carrillo, and has since then been covered by countless artists. Our version is based on the most famous one, recorded by the Mexican group Los Panchos together with the American singer Eydie Gorme. The Karaoke background track is from YT "KaraokeInstrumental".
Don’t miss the other songs at the GWA Backstage challenge! 🎵
My other songs can be found HERE.
I knew going for this song in its original key that it would probably be a liiiiittle too high for me, but fuck it, we ball. 🤭 Hope you all enjoy it either way~
This month's challenge!
Sincere thanks to everyone who sticks around to listen to all 8:31 of this song. I think it outstays its welcome in live karaoke, but it is fun to sing.
The month is coming to a close, but if you're interested in other "songs about food", head on over to the challenge post to see what else has been sung, and what's still to come.
I am just wondering, I think I want to create an audio with an Ai voice of a cartoon character is this a copyright issue.
If I can’t find an ai version I would probably just use my own voice is that okay?
Kind of like the drake heart on my sleeve Ai song
Dia Duit! "Whiskey In the Jar" is an Irish traditional song about a highwayman that robs a military official. But then he is betrayed by a woman...
For this version I am very glad to be singing together with none other than WhiskeyTanFox101 !!
This is my second submission for the November "Delicious Delight" Backstage challenge. Go there and check out the other songs We hope you like this version with our song and my guitar.
This old song has been recorded by a lot of artists. Our version is mostly inspired by the versions of Thin Lizzy and Metallica.
My other songs can be found Here.
Well, I gave it a shot. This is the karoake equivalent of those gun range photos where someone missed the bad guy completely and the hostage is full of holes. but I'm still happy I was able to finally participate.
Submitting for the November 2024 backstage karaoke challenge.
You can listen to the audio here at your own risk!
I had the privilege to interview the wonderful u/bearingwith the kindest, gentlest, hardest working Bear! This is the first interview i ever edited due to technical problems that occur near the very end... Usually these are in one take. Come listen and enjoy this wonderful, charming lady.

My first effort at this. Anybody with a few years under their belt, like me, might remember this goody by James Taylor.

Had a crack at this one, fairly happy with the results.

Wassup, its Envy, and I'm here to share you my code needed to achieve a customized webpage for Soundgasm. You might need a little bit coding knowledge to utilize this to its fullest potential. I am by no means the best in terms of coding and this was only made with hopes and dreams.
This code is not super friendly (Im sorry) but Ill try to explain with the best of my meager abilities.
If you are going to use this, I do only have one small request. Please don't use my color. I do love my green and dark sea foam greens. Thats it, lol.
Above is an example to what kind of customization I am talking about. "My audio" page will look ass in the phone version since the picture is on top of the tab for audios, BUT the audio page will look clean. My Soundgasm shows a theme of dark sea foam green colors that changes the color of the bar, fonts style, and font color. It also changes to a darker tone in night mode (for phones).
----
I've had this code for 6 months now. I was tinkering with Soundgasm styles (Bolding, Italicized, links, etc) and I noticed that you can actually change the colors of not only text, you can also change the colors of the webpage just like a normal HTML style CSS. So I tinkered and I got my "custom" UI and design (I guess).
One thing to keep in mind, "My audios" tab in Soundgasm is connected to the actual audio page. So all the style changes done in the description of the audio page WILL affect the "My audios" tab.
I wanted to add a gradient green to black for "My audio" page but doing so just resulted in a repeating green to black background, which is not terrible. I'm just glad it worked. You also have to put the code EVERY SINGLE TIME you upload one. This is the problem as to why "My audios" tab is intersecting with the audio page.
If you do mess up with the tinkering, you can just delete your audio, and try again. I made the code more focused for phones back then since I collected data pertaining that most of my listeners (80% at least) are using their phones to listen. If you notice a big gap on the web version, that's because I couldn't get that shit erased without fucking up my whole code.
It looks GOOD in phone web version, and it looks OKAY with PC web version. If there is any code that you think could fix this hot pile of garbage mess of a code, please feel free to fix it. All I'm asking is not to use my color UwU.
Anyways, here it is. Don't forget to change important links now. Don't want your listeners going to my page now hey? mwahahhaha
If you do have questions, let me know. There are probably smarter people than me here than can help you as well. If you are knowledgable in code, you know this has GREAT potential. Like posting gif banner for your Patreon, making your background a cute wallpaper of your OC, or extreme custom code to match your aestehtic~ Im just too lazy to do allat because that would mean more work xd
