Hi, I am going to take the ux developer course online and I am curious what the testing is like? Are exams proctored? Can I take my exams online instead of in person?
Thank you for your help.
I am a full time student, and I am wondering if I should be worried or if I should expect to be put on warning, so I am 4 classes, 3 of which are 3 credits, one of which is 4 credits, I am only failing my 4 credit class and passing the other 3 classes, the first class I have an A in, and the other 2 are Bs, a B+ and a B. Should I be worried about being put on a warning semester?
Where on the parking entrance box do you scan your Raider Card? I was so flustered when I tried to do it and I wasn't able to find the right place. I kept doing it directly on the sticker where it says to and nothing happened.
Hi all, I recently graduated high school, and I didn't do so well performance wise because I didn't apply myself. Now, I got accepted into GRCC but the minimum GPA requirement to apply for their ADN classes is a 2.5 GPA or higher. I graduated with a 1.7. Is there anything I can do to prove myself? I'd hate to have my dreams crushed because I had one bad year in high school. Thoughts?
Has anyone else had issues with the GRCC secure network randomly disconnecting or giving a really bad connection? Maybe it's where I study but it's really causing me problems.

looking for GRCC student groups or not even related to the school .
Here is a regularly updated playlist dedicated to new independent French producers. Several electronic genres covered, but mostly chill. A good backdrop for concentration and relaxation. Perfect for my late-night study sessions.

Hello! I just wanted to know what this class is like in terms of reading, assignments, and exams.
Hey y'all! I'm looking to be a guest student this summer and was wondering if anyone knows of some common online courses that aren't very time-consuming and are a solid 2-4 credits. Any pointers would be appreciated! :)
I know of the student study rooms in the science building, but they tend to fill up quickly. Are there any other places like this on campus?
Was pleasantly surprised to hear they do this every Friday and wanted to spread the word for anyone else who desperately needs the power of caffeine on this snowy Friday.
The only place I've found that somewhat (loosely) enforces being quiet is the upstairs of the library. The main floor is always loud with the staff playing trivia and riddles, etc. and students treating it like a social zone (loud phone calls, games, music, etc.).
I'm sure the staff gets bored and needs something to pass the time but I shouldn't be able to hear each person's every word from the far end of the library. I did once ask the staff if they could keep it down they apologized but kept doing the exact same stuff at the same volume.
I hate confrontation and dreaded asking so I felt mortified that I actually got up to ask and they didn't stop. I just felt embarrassed afterwards, like I was being needy or demanding and packed up my stuff and left.
Plus, I started getting freaked out going there because random people (not students) would walk right in spouting nonsense and sometimes they would just get ignored until they left but once the cops came and removed them. In our society, there's plenty cause to be afraid of experiencing an active shooter. Not being paranoid, just acutely aware of how big a possibility that is.
So I try the upstairs library sometimes, but to be honest, that's usually a bust.
Last time, after lugging my materials to the "testing" area that's supposed to be silent, it was so frustrating. No students were being loud but rather the faculty. Two women were getting their steps in by making laps around the perimeter. No big deal, right ... except they talked the whole time. I think they thought they were being quiet. Instead, there was only a brief moment when I couldn't hear them. Their low chatting would gradually increase as they walked their way closer, then fall away as they made their way back to the opposite side. This went on for nearly an hour. I desperately needed quiet and couldn't focus (I even had noise cancelling headphones in and when that didn't work, I played white noise type stuff to try to drown it out, to no avail).
Today, I moved to 3 different spots looking for a quiet place (the Quiet Cafe is usually hit or miss anyway, a study nook on the 5th floor in RJF, a common area of the 5th floor of RJF, then Cook Hall.
No place quiet to work.
I was almost excited by that seeing as everyone I see is usually on their phone and antisocial.
I'm not wanting people to be quiet everywhere, just wanting to know if there are dedicated areas for quiet studying (THAT ARE ACTUALLY QUIET).
Like Sneden Hall, for example. That beautiful windowed area has one small sign that says to please be quiet and I've never heard anyone make a peep there, even when it's kind of full.
I don't have classes there this semester but I almost want to take the bus there just to find some peace and quiet to focus.
I wish I could study at home, coffee shop, etc.
I for sure cannot study at home. I have a chaotic household where I seldom get a minute alone and someone always needs me for something.
Just wanted to throw it out there if anyone has any questions at all about CC I’m happy to help :) I’ve been a student/worked here for 4 and a half years so I could probably answer just about any question. I know how confusing/frustrating it can get so lmk if I can help!
In an effort to save money and eat better, I've been packing my lunch. I made the assumption that there would be a microwave in plain sight at the Raider Grille. Does anybody know if there is one for student use? I know there's Subway, Quiet Cafe, etc. but would really just prefer to cook for myself and not have to leave campus to eat (especially in bad weather).
Have any of you returning students been in clubs you loved? Imo, social life at grcc can be lacking on campus. It seems student life tries to engage students but I never really see a good turnout despite whatever efforts they make. Where can I check what clubs are active?
Just here to let anyone know... The roads are closed in the most ridiculous way.
I'm shocked there wasn't an announcement, email, anything at all notifying students. It's the first day of the regular schedule and I was on campus over the weekend and saw nothing that indicated the closures.
Hopefully by me posting here I can save someone the trouble of finding a new route on the fly or being late to class.
I am looking for anyone who is wanting to give away their ticket for this year's dance!
Hi everyone. I am not certain how active this community is, but the College Dems chapter at GRCC has been reopened and we are looking for members. Please reach out on Instagram and Twitter at @ DemsGRCC if you are interested.
Thanks all!
Is anyone taking summer classes at GRCC (specifically calc 2 and computer science 1)
Hi Everyone,
I have been working for some time now on this website ratemycourses.io and I am really excited to share it with you.
You can use this to look at reviews and get advice on courses you're interested in. You can also sort courses by difficulty, usefulness and the overall rating from reviews made by other students. I think if enough people start using it regularly. it's going to be essential when you're choosing your electives or just to get advice on courses you will be taking.
Lastly, filtering and sorting courses is only gonna be useful and accurate if there are a lot of reviews, so please go ahead and leave some reviews to courses you've taken or are currently taking.
Also, please dm me if you have an idea on how I can let more students know about this. And if anyone is interested in writing an article about this dm me!
Enjoy!!
So I'm supposed to start school this next term and had selected the Graphics/Web Design AAAS program as it was advertised to something that could be done fully online. I wanted to double check so I made an appointment with an advisor and was told that they don't offer anything like that. Should I just schedule another appointment and hope I get another advisor or can anyone confirm it's possible to complete it online?
Can anyone tell me the difficulty of Calc 133? Looking at taking it in the summer session.
