Well had this laptop less than 24 hours and the keyboard has stopped working. A basic google search indicates this is a VERY common problem with gigabyte devices and the god awful control center.
Fuming that a £2500 laptop is practically unusable after 24 hours.
Very disappointed in Gigabyte and this will be going back.
Hello. Been having issues with the Edge LCD display not working. I reinstalled windows already as a last resort and downloaded the nvidia drivers, aorus engine, GCC, and firmware update from the gigabyte website. After reinstalling windows, I installed the nvidia drivers from gigabyte first. Then followed by aorus engine. Then aorus engine prompted to install rgb fusion. At first it was stuck on "Please wait" when I installed RGB fusion. Then I installed GCC and also ran the N30Setup inthe RGBFusion/lib folder. RGB fusion seems to work and there's a new folder called AORUS LCD Panel Setting in my gigabyte folder. I also updated the nvidia driver to the latest version.
I ran the Panel.exe in this AORUS LCD Panel Setting folder. This opened up the lcd setting where I can change the picture of the LCD in the GPU. But it won't save when I try to turn on the LCD. It just turns back off after I click apply. I opened up services and tried to start the service called AORUS LCD Panel Service. Then it gave me an error saying, "the aorus lcd panel service on local computer started and then stopped. some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs". At this point, I think the issue is this services not starting. I have been trying to get this to work and no luck. This is the last gigabyte product I will buy. It's ridiculous. Thank in advanced for any help.
I have for the G5 intel i7, 16g Ram, RTX 4050 and 500G ssd. However my Quest 3 says it’s fully compliant for VR? Any take on this?
Hello everyone, I have been getting notifications for updates on my GCC today for my Aorus Master 4090. After the bricking of GPUs we saw last year I've been kind of afraid to update my firmware. Has anyone updated to the following with issues or success? Thoughts on if I should upgrade or not would be appreciated!
I just tried to update my Gigabyte G5KC laptop's BIOS from FB07 to FB08 and ive been stuck at this screen since it completed. Do i have to press some key? Do i wait? Do i shut it down and reboot?
My PC has previously run on 2 sticks of ram (total of 32GB) fine for years and has been registering the full amount. I had the sticks in the A2,B2 slots to take advantage of dual channel mode on my motherboard. I just got 2 more sticks of the exact same ram yesterday but when I installed them my pc is only registering 32GB and is not registering slots A1 or A2. I am at a loss for how to fix this. I have taken out all sticks of ram and reslotted them as well as reset my CMOS
PC specs are Mobo: X570 Aorus Elite WiFi Ram: 4x 16GB 3600MHz DDR4 Vengeance RGB Pro CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
So for context I changed some parts on my PC that I wanted to upgrade, specificaly RAM (Kingstone Fury 32GB per stick and 5600HZ), Motherboard B650M GAMING A AX) and CPU (Ryzen 9 9900X). The GPU is the only thing thats the same (Nvidia RTX 3070Ti Gainward). And when I put it all together with my dad, its powers up and all but the display, we tried everything under the sun expect Flashing the BIOS, which when checking only PCPartPicker says that because of the CPU choice it might need Flashing if there are any problems.
Also when I was checking compatibility I was looking on Gigabyt's own site for the Motherboard for info.
Edit: So I did the BIOS update but nothing changed, so I am thinking the only other thing it can be is CPU fan incompatibility becasue thats the only component left over besides the GPU but I am pretty sure its not the GPU considering its a Gainward .3070Ti
I have a aorus elite ax ice motherboard. I have been wanting to buy a rbg strip for my desk. Any suggestions that are compatible with rgb fusion software.
Hi
Have a B650 Stealth ICE for 2 months and it worked perfectly.
After doing the new GCC update, the RGB lights on the actual motherboard stopped working and the CPU debug LED is lit up in red. The sytem works perfectly and there is no issues with CPU or RAM as they all check out, eSupport has no idea how to help and just gave the lazy approuch that I should return the board, trouble with that us Im in Africa and imported the board. Not only is it expensive to do so but also should be offered more support as this is a new product
Can anyone help me, please, to find out - is it possible to somehow disable Intel Undervolt Protection on processor? I want to make an undervolt on the laptop processor, but it has Undervolt Protection. There is no such setting in the BIOS to disable it.
I have Gigabyte 17X AZF with i9-13980HX.
Hello, I need help, please.
My current setup:
MB: Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700x
RAM: G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR5 6400MHz CL32 Trident Z5 RGB Black
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Nvme M.2
GPU: Nvidia RTX 1060 6gb (older, but just in progress of upgrade and do not think the problem is here)
I also tried Kingston FURY 32GB DDR5 6400MT/s CL32 Beast Black EXPO. This is not in the supported list, or at least I did not find it there, so that was a mistake on my side.
The one I mentioned in the setup is in the list, so I expected this to work. But with this setup, I am not even able to install Windows 11. Even if I somehow manage to install it, I get BSOD when installing additional drivers or Windows updates. The computer then restarts and never boots again. It freezes or stays in the restart BSOD cycle forever. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong? And the BSOD error is also very weird. I attached an example of how the BSOD looks like.... Kindly please somebody help.
I'm having an issue with my Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2 monitor – the Static Control feature stopped working. I often leave my monitor on a static image for a few minutes (like when pausing a game), and previously, it would automatically dim the entire screen to protect it from burn-in. However, this feature stopped working a few days ago.
I've tried a few things to fix it: toggling Static Control on and off in the settings, unplugging the monitor for a while, and even resetting settings, but nothing has helped. The monitor still displays the static image at full brightness, and I'm concerned it might cause burn-in.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or know of a fix? Any advice would be much appreciated!
Hey! I’m having a problem with my Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2 monitor. It randomly displays a black screen. The only thing that helps is resetting the device. What’s strange is that it happens at different intervals – sometimes it happened after just a few minutes, and other times only after an hour or two.
I have the monitor connected via DisplayPort directly to an Nvidia 4080 Super card. I’ve tried different cables, settings, and ports, but nothing has solved the issue.
Has anyone experienced similar problems with this monitor model?
gcc uses to install itself and then show you driver/software you could choose to install.
Now the gcc installer just goes ahead and installs everything including the dog dookie bloatware nobody wants, and then shows you whats installed.
why was this change made? whoever decided it was a good idea, uppercut yourself 🤦🏽♂️
Does anyone know if a MB GIGABYTE B450M Ds3h v1 supports a Kingston 4TB m.2? (the model is NV2S/4000G)
I wanna repaste my GPU (in the title) and change it's thermal pads because it has high temps at full load. I can't find find a definite answer for the thickness of the pads and I can't go buy many pads. I have to buy the right ones from the start. Could you help me find the right thickness?
I'm looking for a Z790 motherboard and Gigabyte would have been my first choice. However, there are so many reports of people experiencing coil whine from Gigabyte boards specifically, including the UD AX or UD AC models which I was thinking of getting. I was also considering the Gaming Plus AX.
Gigabyte reps - I know there's a few of you here - are you able to shed any light on this, or which models you've seen (or not seen) to have high rates of coil whine?
For reference - my current motherboard - a Gigabyte Z270 from six years ago - also had coil whine. What a coincidence huh. Thankfully - it actually seems to have gone away at some point, either from a setting I did or something else. But I definitely do not want to buy another Gigabyte board seeing all these reports of coil whine.
I'm guessing many of these boards get returned for RMAs - do you have any light to shed on the issue? Is one board more affected than others? Are any in particular less likely? Because sadly Gigabyte is just straight up dead in the water to me as an option now, otherwise 😔
This is my first pc build & so I am new to bios updates. The mother board I have is a : X670 aorus elite ax. The version that I have currently is FB2 was updated by Gigabyte Control Center. But when go the website : https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X670-AORUS-ELITE-AX-rev-13/support#support-dl
I see 2 more bios updates ( assuming there stable) why isn't Gigabyte Control center updating my PC to the latest bios ?
Sup y'all );
I got the Z790 Aorus Elite X WiFi7, I replaced it with my Asus Prime Z790 WiFi. I really liked the BIOS of Gigabyte, I also got rid of Armoury Crate and all the shitty services (they're not bad but uh, it's probably just me).
My PC is rocking an i9-14900KF, RTX 4080 ProArt 16gb OC edition, 9 AlO Corsair fans running in a good set-up (Intake and exhaust), Kingston Fury 2x16gb 6000Mhz, Samsung 990 EVO 2TB, Asus Rog Strix 1000W PSU gold edition and finally, the monster Aorus motherboard.
I'm using Intel profile (Extreme), I tried to use Unleash but the PC rebooted when I opened COD MW2, it restored the default Intel Extreme profile, I dunno why but I think my PC is capable of handling the power. What do you guys think? Should I use the Intel profile or the Perfdrive Optimization profile?
Intel Extreme profile and XMP Hynix 32gb 6400Mhz profile, on COD MW2 - Ultra graphics, GPU ranges between 50-60C (mostly 55C) and CPU 55-65C (sometimes jumps to 67 and 68, it depends on the gameplay but most of the time it's 65 and below.
BTW, I'm on F7 (latest BIOS update with the Intel microcode hot-fix. THANKS!
Hey all, iv just made a new build but encountering an issue.
The wifi does not seem to be working from the antenna provided but the Bluetooth is working.
Iv installed chipset driver, Bluetooth driver and wifi driver.
Iv ensured I got the right ones for my motherboard which is revision 1.0 as listed on the box.
Iv enabled network stacking in the bios.
I’m wondering if anyone has encountered any similar issues that could help or provide a solution?
hello, maybe an odd question but i have had multiple screws fall out of my Gigabyte A5K1. i have looked online for the screw types so that i may purchase a replacement but i have not found the type. I know there are screws available online but i am also looking to purchase them from nearby. thanks
I found a port called D_LED1, is that it?
Can I mix DDR5 ram capacities while upgrading? I have an Aorus 15 9MF with i5-12500H it came with 8gb ddr5 ram 4800 RAM. I want to know if I can add 16gb 4800 stick to this and it will work as dual channel as it should as I cannot afford right now to get two 16gb sticks and the 8gb will be a waste.
Or should I get only 8gb ram stick?
Does anybody manage to cycle the color of their keyboard for G5?
Does anyone know the major differences between the two cards?
The cooler looks like it has had a major redesign with a change in the location of the pep tubes and a much bigger 3 fan cooler vs 2 two fan cooler.
I bought a WD 2TB SSD with Heatsink, do you think I could use it without the cover that comes on the MOBO. The MOBO m2 SSD cover won’t fit on the WD 2TB because it already has heatsink. Any thoughts?
