As we head into a overpowered, extremely varied future... how are people going to keep a grip?
We all want a absurdly stimulating life. Always will. Our sanity may disagree in the end, though.
You could argue that the future where we all survive is the one where we hit a technological plateau of some kind. And yet... people are still going to do their best to make it, absurdly stimulating.
Thoughts?
Hey everyone! I am a masters degree student and am interested in studying how tech enthusiasts and futurists think about how technology is or isn't perceived to violate social norms. For example, you may have heard of Google Glass, which was discontinued for consumer use because it made people too uncomfortable. I'd love to hear from this subreddit, what do you think makes the Apple Watch seem acceptable, but not Google Glass, for instance?
I have an online survey that takes just 4-5 minutes to complete and your participation would be greatly appreciated. This survey is for my masters degree and I hope this subreddit will find it thought-provoking.
