Hello! I am looking into purchasing the full set of FMAB, but I've come across some confusion since funimation lost the distribution/licensing rights and they went back to aniplex. My research so far has led me to understand the following:
Funimation made a bluray version of FMAB that is no longer in print. It contained commentary, behind the scenes, etc, and the movies.
Aniplex also made a bluray version at a later date. This one is still in print, but does not contain any commentary. But it still contains the movies.
I really want to make sure I get a hold of the commentary/behind the scenes stuff cause I love that type of stuff. Any help in clearing this up would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks you for any and all help!
Want to get a tattoo that involves the blood seal on Als armor, anything you guys think would go great combined with it?
saw this somewhere else but i was curious what fmab and fma would fall under
Haven’t found a poll like this, curious to know how many of you have actually read the source material: the Fullmetal Alchemist 鋼の錬金術師 manga by Arakawa Hiromu 荒川弘.
If you haven’t already, please read it! It’s the best in my opinion.
This is a hypothetical as of now/basically me gauging interest, but I've thought about this for a while and would LOVE to do it if enough people were interested. Granted, I WILL say this would be my first time doing a project of this sort so if anyone's more familiar with this than I am I would GREATLY appreciate the help. But I've always found reanimated projects fascinating, and the idea of doing one with something as odd as Fullmetal Fantasy seems like a blast! You could either try and turn it into something actually decent or lean into the inherent insanity and memeiness of it- either way, it'd be a ball. If enough people are interested I'll look into actually setting something up- for now this is just me spitballing.
My understanding of the system is that State Alchemists are a military funded program, and can basically be called upon to fight for them whenever, but aren't exactly soldiers. It's also stated that State Alchemists get a rank equivalent of a major, so how does that work? Can they move up or down? I know Roy is a colonel, but we also see him going through Military Academy as a regular soldier first, which makes him completely part of the military. He also has to wear a uniform while Ed and the spinny Italian top guy don't, so they pretty clearly don't qualify entirely as soldiers (?) but Ed is still allowed to hang around command centers and do field work.
Is it kind of like the secretary girls? Where alchemists can be regular civilians but still work for the military to varying degrees?
Also, is there a distinction between research alchemists and whatever Ed does? Because Ed is sent out on missions sometimes (which I know is mostly philosopher stone related) while to my knowledge Tucker is much less involved in field work (he just sits around and abuses children). Is this just because his skills are much less useful in battle, or is there an actual distinction between the two?
Well if you read through this thanks for reading
the Destruction of Xerxes?
So we know Alchemy was introduced to what became Amestris by the Philosopher of the East (Father) and Alkahestry was introduced to Xing by the Sage of the West (Van Hohenheim) both of whom set out from Xerxes after it's destruction.
So I'm curious did transmutation in the FMA world originate from Xerxes or did other countries have some level of understanding about it?
-Do not remember if there is a pairing but if there is one it’s probably Roy/Ed -Several years post promised day -Al attempts human transmutation a second time to bring Ed back from where he is -Ed comes back as a girl, with both legs but still missing the arm -Goes back to Central to retake the exam -During the exam interview, Roy notices that instead of having legs planted, Ed crosses his legs balancing only on knowledge/understanding -Ed gets sent to South -Fic is unfinished, possibly abandoned
I swear it was on my ao3 bookmarks list but I couldn’t find it and I’m really hoping it wasn’t deleted
Will probably have to get more
Who else appreciates this?
Maybe something like 30m?
Just checking in to see if it’s anywhere to stream. Preferably not pirated. Like if I have to get a VPN to fake my location too that is preferable to risking getting a virus on a pirates site.
Also as a side note super annoyed as to how conquer of shamballa is available but the series to give it context isn’t.
Help! I read this fanfic almost ten years ago now and have forgotten the name. It was RoyxRiza on fanfiction.net. I vaguely remember that Roy shows up injured at Riza’s and they have to run away together from someone hunting Roy down. They end up taking on fake identities in a new town as a married couple. At one point I think they befriend the butcher’s son? And there’s also an orphaned baby they find that they start to take care of. There was also a scene where they attended a dance or something and Riza gets jealous of all the attention Roy is getting and that’s when they share their first kiss.
It’s driving me crazy that I can’t remember the title and can’t find this. I remember really enjoying it. Please help if this rings a bell for anyone else!
my inst is dead, so I'll just leave it here author: AnastasiusGamer (me)
