A Fruitarian Diet is a diet which consists mostly of fruits. We are a vegan community. We do not condone "detoxes", "fasting" or starvation. Ones diet does not need to be 100% fruit, or even 100% raw. Eating enough calories is of utmost importance (2000+/day for females and 2500+/day for males, minimum).

My diet consists of 60% of fruit, but lately I've been eating too many bananas, especially in the morning. I don't know if this is dangerous. I need help
Title. I like fruits in first part of the day, but eating them for dinner feels unnatural to me (too excited, poor sleep).
How much weight could I lose on the Fruitarian diet? I couldn't find much information on the topic of weight loss with Fruitarian. But if doing just fruit is bad, I'm good with incorporating vegetables. But I don't mind losing some muscle because I'm not so muscly anyway. Any advice or information about this topic would be greatly appreciated!
I have been based only on fruit for many months, the symptoms are getting better and better. but I have problems with the high glycemic index. Has anyone had the same problem? I should support my adrenals. If I can I will do another water fast. 🌀
I went vegan/frugivore for two months after being omnivore, I felt AMAZING. Then I went back to my hometown, which means going back to old patterns also with food and there is where I started to have more and more cheat meals. Since then, I struggle to go back to the frugivore diet and cravings with junk food, cheese and sweets are frequent. I am so upset and feel like I failed. Any advice to regain the motivation and overcome guilt?
example like: fatty foods cause lethargy or Starches like potato digest slow and take more energy to digest compared to fruit.
Lethargic - tired all the time
Bloated as hell - stomach is holding so much extra weight
Dehydrated - waking up with mucus and dry mouth
Mood - sour mood
And another thing. Is a fruitarian diet a good way to preserve muscle? One of the only reasons I have gone full fruitarian is the body composition/muscle loss.
So, while I do believe that fruitarian/raw vegan all of the time is probably the healthiest, personally, I don’t think I can do that sustainably over my life. I love meat and sweets too much.
So, my idea as a compromise is to eat two meals a day, with one of those meals being a meal of fruit. The second meal is “whatever I want” within reason while being cognizant of healthy choices, but should the occasion calls for it, I’d have no qualms about eating a steak. My idea is that this will help to lose weight and improve overall health through fewer calories and increased raw fruit/vegetable consumption.
So my question is, is there any anecdotal/scientific evidence that says eating fruit as my first or second meal of the day is “better”? Is there an advantage to eating fruit on an empty stomach in the morning/lunch time? Or is it better to eat the fruit meal as a lighter, last meal of the day? Or does it not matter and I’m just thinking too much?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Let's hear 'em...
Hey community! I’ve been struggling a bit as the weather is getting colder and wetter, and fruit supply is diminishing. I’m down to apples, bananas, and dates as the only reliable fruit right now.
Really craving some cooked foods, but my digestion does not tolerate most things well. I had a small sweet potato last night, and it’s still sitting in my stomach causing grief.
Thinking about trying some grains, or possibly some beans. Would love to find something to eat with a huge salad to help with some cravings, and not making me feel heavy, bloated, and full of regret.
What do you all lean on when times are tough?
Gratitude
In so many fruitarian posts and discussions I see admonitions against salt. This seems strange to me because we could live without fruit, but not without sodium. No sodium as the electrolyte gatekeeper, no sodium potassium pump. So what's the deal? Why no salt?
Thanks 🙂
I eat clean and am an athlete. Would like to go fruitarian. Just worried about not getting enough protein, fat, nutrients. Looking for a guru to guide me. Where do I get started? What are the first steps?
Has anyone here survived long term eating nothing but fruit? It is logical that fruit should be eaten but I question whether protein and fat is essential

I know lots of you had the opposite problem before switching to fruitarian but here I am underweight since forever. I am doing a transition diet right now so I’m still not full fruitarian (I’ve cut out all grains but still having cooked veggies and fish every day, I know it really sucks but social pressure is insane) and my body weight has already gone down more. Again, social pressure is insane, it’s like I am the stupid one out of everyone, while they fill themselves with sugar, corpses and other trash. What can I do? I am already going heavy on hypercaloric fat foods like nuts, oils, avocados and coconut but it seems not to be working. Should I go REALLY heavy on these? Another obstacle are my gut issues so exaggerating on fiber and fats will only make it worse. It’s so hard.
My belly is very "full", it's a very uncomfortable type of full, I ate 3 very juicy mandarins and 2 bananas, felt content and then proceeded to eat some spoonfuls of (delicious) Pico de Gallo
The only time I've ever felt this way was when I was about to projectile vomit into the toilet bowl after eating about 3kg of garbage food last year (crackers, roti, flour, vegan butter/oil and a stupendous amount of chili).
It's going away much faster now but it's definitely teaching me a lesson, probably the most forward and intuitive lesson I've ever had lol.
Anyone else have a similar experience?
This Japanese Fruitarian researcher, Mizuki Nakano has some big media appearances none of them smarmy though (I think his credentials give credence being that he graduated from Kyoto Uni for Agricultural studies and was a former professor at Tokyo Uni).
He's stated that "there is no scientific research data on eating too much fruit" though he supports transitioning into a fruitarian diet . I just thought it was interesting to see a fruitarian research not be labelled as crazy and have some media appearance. He's also never had to drink water by itself.

Title. Something tart, lower sugar, etc. Like them in the end of the day.
I have been eating more and more fruit in my diet gradually for the past 2 years especially the past year. I am not vegan or 100% raw by any means but I would do maybe a day or two on fruit and then a regular mixed meal at night and stuff along those lines. Anyways today I just had mcdonals lol and now I feel pretty inspired to do a straight one month fruit only challenge. The longest I have gone only fruit is like 7-8 days but I am going to do a month this time. I feel so inspired ahhhhh.

Kind of curious if I shouod just stick to fruit thicker skin or skin I can remove, which means grapes/berries are off the table then.
