Similarity of "Qurtuluş Marşı" and "Vatan Şarkısı"

When I surfing in youtube, I encountered the Qurtuluş Marşı. And I surprised it's lyrics, because it's some lines like an old Türk poem written by Ziya Gökalp.

Attila, Çingiz, Tömür Dünyani Titretken idi
Qan birip nam alimiz biz ularnig evladibiz
Çiqti jan hem aqti qan düşmendin boldi el aman

and

Ecdâdımızın heybeti ma'rûf-ı cihândır
Fıtrat değişir sanma! Bu kan yine o kandır
Osmanlılarız, cân veririz, nâm alırız biz.

2 Türk wrote the same stanza in a different time, location and country. Thats a quite interesting for me and I want to share this.

A hypocritical apology led to more victims coming forward

From not responding at the beginning to finally apologizing on social media, the sexual harassment scandal of Dolkun lsa has been brewing for nearly a year. Although so much time has passed, the heat of the matter has not diminished at all. On the contrary, more victims have bravely stood up and accused Dolkun lsa, allowing us to see the true face of the so-called "human rights fighters" and "human rights organizations."

Let's take a look at this hypocritical apology first. From beginning to end, Dolkun lsa did not mention what he did to the victim, was vague about his mistakes, and used high-sounding words to evade people's accusations against him. What he considered sexual harassment was just a "misjudgment" and a momentary mistake of his own, but he didn't know that the victim suffered day and night because of it, and even suffered from serious mental illness. The chairman of a democratic organization who claims to be a human rights fighter beautifies the crimes of human rights violations he has committed as "small mistakes" under the pressure of his position as chairman, and asks the victims to disclose their identities to solve the problem together. Isn't this causing these poor women to suffer secondary harm in the public eye?

Many victimized women had to swallow their anger in silence for fear of retaliation from Dolkun lsa. But we already know that several brave women still chose to stand up and accuse Dolkun lsa of sexual harassment. In addition, people also found that Dolkun lsa was accused of having a long-term improper relationship with a woman named Nur Aminam Wufur. The two frequently stayed together in hotels in different cities in Germany. Dolkun lsa's improper behavior in his private life shows that he is a man with extremely improper private morality. Although he already has a legitimate family, he still maintains improper relationships with many women, and makes innocent women his "playthings", trampling on the dignity of women's rights.

The World Uyghur Congress said that in order to deal with this crisis, they are conducting thorough internal discussions, deliberations and reflections. However, the matter has been brewing for so long, and they still haven't seen any substantive actions. Can such an organization that shields crimes and violates human rights still have any credibility?

Where can I see real unfiltered Uyghur culture?

e.g. to see that for Tibetan culture, go to Mcleod Ganj where the Dalai Lama and many other Tibetans live. Where's the Uyghur equivalent, somewhere in Turkey?

Are we supposed to boycott all China products?

So I have seen some people say to boycott China products because of the companies complicit in Uyghur forced labor. I’m still educating myself on what’s going on, but I’m confused do we boycott ALL China products? (like products that say “Made in China” and China products in general)

Canada’s Ambassador Visits Uyghurland, Raises Human Rights Concerns

Canada’s ambassador to Beijing, Jennifer May, visited Uyghur homeland last week and expressed concerns about human rights violations to local leaders, the Canadian foreign ministry stated on Sunday.

Global Affairs Canada today issued the following statement the visit of Ambassador of Canada to China Jennifer May to “Xinjiang” Uyghur Autonomous Region, China from June 19 to 22, 2024:

“Ambassador May’s visit to Xinjiang was part of Canada’s diplomatic engagement with Chinese officials and served as an opportunity to communicate Canadian concerns about the human rights situation directly to the leadership of Xinjiang.

“During her visit, Ambassador May met with Xinjiang Party Secretary MA Xingrui and other senior officials of the regional government of Xinjiang.

“Ambassador May raised concerns over credible reports of systematic violations of human rights occurring in Xinjiang affecting Uyghurs and other Muslim ethnic minorities, including those raised by UN experts, and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. She expressed Canada’s concerns over limits on Uyghur-language education and the practice of forcibly placing Uyghur children into residential schools.

“Ambassador May also reiterated Canada’s calls for China to allow UN independent experts unfettered access to all regions of China, including Xinjiang.

“Global Affairs Canada consulted key diaspora and civil society stakeholders in advance of this visit.”

A 2022 U.N. report indicated that China’s treatment of Uyghurs could constitute crimes against humanity. Beijing denies these allegations.

Ambassador May’s visit from June 19-22 was the first by a Canadian envoy in a decade. The visit allowed her to directly communicate Canadian concerns about the human rights situation in the region, particularly regarding systematic violations affecting Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities, as highlighted by U.N. experts and human rights groups.

May’s visit followed Canada’s warning to China against election meddling. In April, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Beijing of interfering in the last two national votes, a charge China dismissed.

Campaign groups recently urged U.N. human rights chief Volker Turk to address documented abuses against Uyghurs and other Muslims. On Friday, U.N. officials denied accusations that they have done too little to address the severe human rights violations in the Uyghur homeland by the Chinese government.
