Hello! I need access to gastroenterology service but this is the first time I deal with health care in Fredericton. So how should I access gastroenterology service? I've seen Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital offers gastroenterology but I cannot find a way to book an appointment online. So how does this work? Do I need a family doctor to book appointment?

EDIT Thank you for all your tips of diet and excercise but I am really looking for answers on different clinics or programs that exist in the city.

What are your experiences with weight loss programs and clinics in Fredericton? Any recommendations? Or any places ppl should avoid? Why or why not? Not looking for self promotion but actual personal perspective of what is available. Google is no help.

Ive been in freddy for years and used to go to a barber back home (im female) and I just want a cheap good cut in freddy and not have to make the big trip home lol. I have thin longish hair and I just want the dead ends off with a bit of face framing. Any suggestions in town for barbers who do simple female cuts?

Looking for somewhere in town I can get old and religious tattoos covered up. Solid black but they are "fairly faded". Have wanted to get them covered for years but always quoted astronomical prices. Looking to get pretty simple designs, nothing with a ton of detail.

I am at my wits end in the current apartment I live in and I am desperate to move out. The building is owned privately by some random in Toronto who is constantly breaking rules and has threatened eviction if I go to the rentalmans council or whatever they’re called (and no, I do not have the money to get a lawyer). No more renting from private owners for me. In your experience, which apartment companies (example Killam, Colpitts, etc) would you consider the best and/or would recommend? Please keep in mind my budget isn’t massive so no penthouse luxury apartments for me. :(

My father passed away last week. When I was young he took me into the woods in Fredericton where he grew up and showed up this waterfall he swam at as a kid. Always had it in my memory. I found this picture in his belongings and recognized it immediately.

I’d like to try and figure out where this is so I can go visit and spread some of his ashes there. Any of the fine folk in this community know where this is??

On Monday, May 19^(th), 2025 I will be running a marathon in Fredericton. It will be the fourth of ten for a fundraising event I’m organizing: 10 Marathons in 10 Days in 10 Provinces, with a goal of raising $1 million for children’s charities (full story at www.10in10in10.ca).

I’m posting here for two reasons:

1. To invite you to join for the first km, the full marathon, or any portion in between! If you have any interest, DM me
2. To solicit help with route planning: What’s a good place to start? (public space, parking nearby, room to gather people, city landmark preferred if possible!) Where should I plan to run? I’ve checked out the Fredericton marathon route (and know we’ll be missing it by just a week!). Is that the best route?

I hope Fredericton remains the capitol of the 'state' of NB. Canada will no doubt be 5-6 States, not 1. Even if we become part of Maine, would like to see Fredericton as the capitol when it comes to it.

We are moving out and my landlord wants to start showing our apartment immediately. I told him that my partner works from home and gave him the 2 days he dosent. lanlord say no he will need to work with potential tenants time and not ours. also said the best he can do is just open the room where my husband work and have the people take a peak but not go in. My husband works with sensitive info and if his job finds out he could face disciplinary actions.... what are my options here???

Just a reminder, the rent cap is officially in effect Today, Feb 1st, 2025. Your landlord CANNOT increase Rent by more than 3% (up to 9% for “justified capital expenditures for renovations of units. Landlords must provide supporting evidence when applying, and the Residential Tenancies Officer will assess and make decisions on these applications.”). Also, it is retroactive, so, if you received a notice of increase on or after September 1st, 2024, this applies to you as well. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. Has anyone on here received a rent increase this year that’s over 3% after feb1 I received a 14% increase as of July. Been told by govt and rentals man that this can’t happen. Just wondering if anyone else going through that as well

My son has a relatively new Honda Civic, parked in the driveway in our home. My husband and i are on our way to Montreal and we were in Edmunston when we realized the only set of keys are with him! so my son has a car no keys and no spare. is there anything we can do? my son called Honda and they said he needed to bring the car to them? should we have it towed there?

They have become SO Disgustingly unethical!! Did receive a $3.99 item in my $36 order. They would only refund $2.93 BUT offered to refund me the Tip I gave the Dasher!!!! HOW DISGUSTING IS THAT!!!! These folks need to be reported!!! That would be like going to Walmart, paying $10 for an item and when you return the item they say, sure, but we'll only give you $9 back!! How many folks are they doing this too!!?!? I'm going to report them!!
