Who do you recommend for an Acupuncturist in Frederick County or surrounding areas?

Hasn’t it been closed for over a year now? Does the city ever plan on fixing it, or do we all have to go down Tuscany for ever more? Surely they have a duty to fix roads and bridges no matter how little travelled they are?

On October 12 from 10-11:30 am to clean up a portion of the Monocacy River at Pinecliff Park. Following this, at a slightly later date, Sierra Club Catoctin Group will conduct a trash survey to provide information about the types and amounts of litter that is retrieved. This data can help inform further action and legislation. Both of these activities are time limited and a great way to volunteer!

hello everyone! I’ve lived here my whole life, and in 2022 I relocated to KY. I’ve been back for a month and a half, and can’t help but ask, what the hell is going on? 😭 I’ve experienced the uptick in traffic while visiting but now that I moved back, I’m seeing it more. where the hell did all these newcomers come from? I feel like it’s taken away from the small town/small city charm Frederick once used to be. I no longer get that feeling.

There seem to be quite a few planes flying near Frederick Airport, many more than normal. Any idea why?

People of Frederick County, there will not be a toilet paper shortage! It is made here. I made the mistake of putting off my typical replenish of toilet paper last weekend and now I actually really need it! I am a household of all women so we sadly do go through more between all three bodily functions. Please, save me a pack!

8-1 Saturday October 5th. Ballenger Creek Pike splits the neighborhood in two. Many, many homes in this development.

I was heading down Monocacy blvd, and was turning left onto east patrick street and I think the red light camera snapped me. I entered the left turn when the light turned yellow, but I took the left turn a little slow so the light probably turned red while I was still in the middle of intersection. I saw the flash on the red light camera, so I’m pretty sure that was for me. Is there any way to contest the coming ticket? Obviously I didn’t turn on a red light, but I don’t have any dash cam evidence. What can I use as evidence? Im definitely taking this to court if I get a ticket for it, because I didn’t run a red light. There was a police suv on the other side who would have obviously pulled me over if I did run the red

Need to pick up some plaster patching supplies and I'm finding the big box stores like Lowes and HD aren't great for this. Any recommendations?

I usually catch laternflies crawling on my doorbell camera, but I haven't seen any in the last week or so with the rainy weather. Has anyone noticed a decrease in the laternfly activity? I know they die during the first frost, but it's obviously not THAT cold yet.

This is an absolute longshot, but my very good friend has a wedding in ten days and the venue is suddenly trying to go back on the contract saying the reception area wasn't agreed upon my friend's wedding is huge (211 people, that's huge to me at least) and even if the venue somehow concedes that the reception area should have been reserved, i suspect they have booked it for another party by now. lf anyone has any leads on an affordable reception area in or near frederick county that could host a large wedding party on the13th of October, please PLEASE let me know. Again, I know this is probably impossible, but it's a wedding so we have to try.

UPDATE: So as of right now, somehow the groom was able to basically get the venue to trade the cocktail area for the reception area, which is comparatively fine because the cocktail area we didn't have a lot of plans for.

Still, the whole thing reeks of gouging, especially with the management being more mad than apologetic that the couple thought the barn was covered based on what they had discussed at their booking and saying they couldn't use it unless they paid more right now. I don't know all the details but between the groom and some other legal fluent friends reviewing the contract, I get the sense they proved as much as they could that this was a mistake on the venues part.

I am going to keep this post up for now, just in case. This really rattled us all and especially the couple, so I would like to keep looking at a backup until we are more confident that this is set in stone.
