We are seeking individuals who are addicted to opioids to participate in a research study looking at the effects of psilocybin, a psychedelic drug found in naturally occurring mushrooms. The study will investigate whether psilocybin can reduce opioid use and improve quality of life. Participants will be started on buprenorphine, receive either a high dose or low dose of psilocybin, and attend follow up appointments. Study completers can earn up to $660.

I’m sure we’ve all noticed the occasional lantern fly on sidewalks or on walls downtown, and I’m sure we’ve been doing our part where we can. But the issue is getting a lot worse.

The laternflies will be laying their eggs soon—if they haven’t already. We need to keep them off our trees if we don’t want to have a disgustingly high population of them come next spring.

I’m sure y’all know they like Tree of Heaven, but maybe some of y’all don’t know about the other trees they like—like me. I was on a walk earlier and kept seeing large amounts of lanternflies on maple trees in the Rockwell area. They are already getting high up into the trees and are preparing to lay their eggs.

Despite how many lanternflies I’ve seen, I have yet to see a single circle trap.

If we can’t get them this year let’s be prepared for next year.

I’ll include a link to a resource that talks about the circle trap (these bugs are stupid as all hell and it’s really easy to trap and kill them) in case anyone wants to use it in the fight against these gross little bugs.

Also, if y’all are stepping on them right now,, don’t be surprised if they are a bit more squishy than usual. If you kill a squishy lanternfly it means you didn’t just kill one lanternfly but thousands of lanternfly eggs 🥳

Hi all, I recently moved to the state and to get my car registered I need a MD Inspection. Does anyone know of a place? The places listed on the DMV website are mostly not in the business of inspections or are really expensive or have terrible reviews. Does anyone know of a place (doesn't have to be in Frederick) that's cheap and fast? Thanks!

i’m new to frederick and want to visit DC. to be honest, i’m not the best driver and don’t trust myself in the severe traffic i hear DC has. any affordable suggestions for how i can get into DC?

I am open to driving if i can find a way to avoid the worst of traffic, even if it means parking a few miles away from all of the monuments and such.

I am also open to trains and busses. i have read about the MARC commuter rail to DC but don’t quite understand how it works. how much is it? can i buy a ticket ahead? where in frederick does it leave from? if you have taken the MARC commuter rail, let me know how it works please because that seems to be the most promising mode of transportation.

New to the area. M(32) looking for potential ongoing rec Leagues for either flag football or ultimate Frisbee. I know of the parks and rec sites and FSS. But they don't have any leagues ongoing or upcoming leagues this year. Also open to pickup games at local parks.

So I drive bt Fort Detrick each day for the past few years. Today I saw this weird glow that initially I thought was a star but then I assumed was a plane. But as it got closer I was like this is the lowest and slowest plane I had ever seen. Then after seeing it for a bit, I noticed there were more right behind it. 4 total actually.

The contract is written in mostly business-focused language, though there was never any employment or business relationship involved. One attorney I consulted suggested that this ambiguity might mean it wouldn’t hold up in court, but I need a more detailed evaluation to understand my options.

More Background:

• NDA Context: The NDA was signed during an emotionally abusive relationship that had no employment or business connections. Its business-oriented terms make it hard to understand how it might be applied or enforced in a personal context.
• Legal Concerns: The other party is now threatening legal action, claiming I breached the NDA by speaking about the relationship. I need to know if this NDA can be enforced, given the unclear nature of the agreement and the circumstances under which it was signed.
