A subreddit dedicated to the Four Noble Truths.

Of course, seeing as how the 4th Noble Truth is the Eightfold Path, this subreddit included that as well

FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS

FIRST TRUTH

Dukkha is the inherent unsatisfactoriness of everything conditioned. This unsatisfactoriness of the conditioned is due to its impermanence, its vulnerability to pain, and its inability to provide complete and lasting satisfaction.

Also

Dukkha is physical senses, mental formation, feeling, perception, and awareness. These 5 aggregates are Dukkha - Dukkha is the 5 aggregates. They are the same.

SECOND TRUTH

What causes dukkha comes from - selfish desires, aversion, and delusion.

THIRD TRUTH

These causes may be eliminated - and thus dukkha is ended.

FOURTH TRUTH

The way stop doing these 3 causes and start doing what is wholesome is to follow the Eightfold Path. The Eightfold Path is the way to stop Dukkha.

EIGHTFOLD PATH

The eightfold path is not a path followed in sequence (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8). Rather, it is a set of 8 Right Ways-of-Being which are developed at a rate chosen.

However, having Right View at all times gives the opportunity to always see things in the perspective of "will this bring suffering?", and thus is important for rapid progression

  1. Right View

  2. Right Intention

  3. Right Speech

  4. Right Action

  5. Right Way-of-Living

  6. Right Effort

  7. Right Mindfullness

  8. Right Concentration

A poem inspired by the 4 Noble Truths

The First Noble Truth is that life can be tough,

The Second Noble Truth states that pain is made of certain stuff,

The Third Noble Truth states that happiness is here,

When one walks the Eightfold Noble Path, the Fourth Noble Truth will appear.

Yin-Shun on the Four Noble Truths

Although the doctrines that the Buddha taught to people of different capacities are infinite and boundless, the way of liberation is, in brief, contained within the doctrines of the Four Noble Truths and dependent origination. Apart from these, there is no world-transcending Buddha Dharma.
