My dad currently has single panes orginal to the house in the 60s. A few of them are broken. What's a good decently priced honest window company? Thank you in advance.
My neighborhood seems to be done as of 7:20 and haven't had anyone come since.
How's your experience?
I am doing a research project for school on the art museum and I was wondering if anyone had any cool pictures and/or history of the museum itself. Thank you!
Looks interesting (if expensive) - but the reviews on Google are all over the map (so to speak).
An adoption for these two boys fell through so I'm desperately looking for a new home for them. Please if you know anyone, or are yourself considering adding a new kitten to your home, please let me know!
These two are so sweet. The tabby looking guy really cute. He follows you around everywhere. He is a little more curious and playful and would be a great friend to other pets. The gray guy is just the quietest, cuddly little kitten I've ever met. Id honestly keep him except for my older female cat is so mean to him. She swats him on the head and chases him away whenever she's in a mood. I feel so bad for the little dude. Id love for them to stay together, but would be happy to separate them as long as they found a loving home!
Please reach out if you are thinking of adopting!
Hey all, spending a couple of days in FW and wondering if there is anything on tonight for Halloween celebrations (21+)? We aren’t from the US and have been trying to find something exciting for our first and probably only Halloween over here.
Also wondering if adults dress up for Halloween or if it’s mostly children? Don’t want to show up at a bar and be the only ones dressed up or vice versa. Any info is much appreciated.
Just as the title says. In December, I have about 10 coworkers coming in for a summit. They’ll likely be staying downtown. What would be the best places to take them for dinner, entertainment, etc? Likely will do the Stockyards at some point, but what’s the best restaurant there? Also debating on Joe T, but as great as the ambiance and margs are, I think we can all agree the food is average.
Does anybody know what happened this morning at I35 and 20? Completely shut down and detouring.
My first problem with them is I can’t get them to answer me back through emails or phone calls. They pretty much every time they do say I can’t message them more than once a day. So when I actually need something done it’s impossible. They make you make scheduled phone calls but then most the time there is no room for a schedule phone call. They randomly charge me out of the blue and unnecessarily made my court case last longer than it needed to. They are saying they tried to reach me about owing them a trust fund of over 3000 dollars that was due the day after my first court date but they only ever tried calling me once and it was two weeks after I was at court. I immediately called back and they wouldn’t answer. I called a few times through out the day and left one voicemail the first time. They only will answer if they think you are new client. Said they would transfer me and dropped the call. All I was trying to do is talk to them about the random charge out of no where that says was due two weeks ago. I went through my emails multiple time to just make sure I didn’t miss anything and there was no mention of this charge. I understand they think that is how much more it will take to finish the case it’s more of the fact it didn’t show up until two weeks later but says otherwise, and all the other state stuff. On top of that the stuff they charged me for when asked for an itemized bill is some of the silliest things ever. And my lawyer is trying to resign from being my lawyer because I am too hard to communicate with which is a lie. I asked if I paid the 3000 if they would could continue my service and they said yes. But in a review I read after having these issues someone mentioned they said yes to the same question randomly charged them another 10000 and dropped them anyways and opening a email cost 75 dollars? I am looking for a new lawyer asap but just wanted to see if this is normal.
Does anybody know when Butler Place will be torn down?
I have heard it's not used anymore and when I drive by it all looks very abandoned.
Hey guys, so I was speaking to a TCU student today and how she explained to me is that it's a bunch of super rich people who want to just have their own bubble and actively keep the surrounding 'poors' from essentially having a say/access to decisions at a municipal level. I'm not from the area so I don't know. I just want to understand how exactly did this happen and what benefits do they get from not being in fort worth. I mean it's literally basically a single neighborhood I don't understand how they get their own police department, town hall, own city and everything else. Ideally someone local who's been around this area would be nice. Is this just a big HOA?
What do they have going on here. I passed by the other day noticed they have a nice setup outside and says it’s dog friendly but I’ve searched online and I’m not finding anything about it.
Got some very Pro-Republican mail the other day and decided to run a fact-check on it. Boy did I find some interesting things. (links at bottom of page)
First it says that Law and Order is on the ballot. I agree, but only because the Republican nominee is a convicted felon, who is yet to have his January 6th trial. Irony +1. Then the mail complains about the amount of fentanyl coming into the community, which I find interesting considering that Republicans blocked a border bill that would put $20 million towards fighting fentanyl alone coming from the southern border. Republican Mitt Romney said that other republicans blocked this bill so they could use the border to their political advantage. (links 1 and 3)
Then the mail tells us that George Soros is putting money into TX races and that we need to stop him. But who is George Soros, should we be trying to stop him? He founded the Open Society foundation which distributed photocopiers to citizens in the USSR to fight against the communists' grip on information. He fought tuberculosis in Africa. He used $200 million for humanitarian aid against covid 19(link 2), and more. Is this really someone we need to stop? Misleading +1. The bottom right of the page says this guide is prohibited from endorsing in federal races, yet on the left side it tells us vote republican "all the way". Whatever.
The mail calls for border enforcement, despite, again, Republicans blocking a $15 billion bill towards securing the border (Links 1 and 3). The next priority is secure Texas elections, even though voter fraud is at about 0.0002%. The provisions it then lists are measures that would disenfranchise minorities and poor people (links 4). Then it wants the stop of sexualizing Texas' kids, well pedophilia is already illegal (link 17).
The mail provides this handy guide. Says Republicans want to secure the border, which Democrats tried to do (again, border bill). Reduce the tax burden, even though Trump's 2017 tax law was skewed to the rich (links 5).
The next bullet point was "right to bear arms" I translated that to "do nothing about school shootings" (link 8).
Religious freedom is pro-republican? Are we forgetting about Trump's Muslim travel ban? Or Project 2025's Christian nationalist policies? (links 6, 7)
The last bullet point is "protect the unborn" which I translated to "endanger women", considering the maternal mortality rate for states with restrictive abortion rights increase by 62%. Recently a TX women had a miscarriage complication, was denied an abortion, and then died. Her 4 year old daughter now has no mother. (Links 9)
On the bottom left the mail tells you to tear out this guide and bring it with you to the polls. Given that the definition of electioneering includes using political illustrations within 100 ft of the polls, this would be illegal! (Link 16)
Then the mail complains about Venezuelan gang activity in Colorado of which the claims have been greatly over exaggerated (Link 10). Then the mail says that Democrat run cities have extremely high crime rate but conveniently forgets that correlation does not equal causation! (Link 15)
On the last page, it mentions the architects of Project 2025, The Heritage Foundation, which then complains about convicted felons running lose, despite them wanting a convicted felon (Link 11) in the White House. It then goes on to say the Venezuelan prison population has decreased by 25%, and pairs that with the activity happening here implying that all their criminals are coming up here. A message echoed by Trump himself (Link 12). But the depiction is misleading.
Finally, the TEXAS news mail includes a picture of a rape tree, but use a photo taken in Arizona, in September of 2020 (Link 13). Mayra Flores claims these trees are all over the southern border, despite these border officials saying that they have never seen a rape tree (Link 14). Why use a photo from 4 years ago? Why use a photo from Arizona when this is about Texas? Why make such claims? Why lie?
This mail was brought to you by Patriot Mobile, a far-right Christian cellphone company. Are they forgetting what Jesus says about lying?
Links below, for some reason they disappear when making the post if I do not include the "" around the link.

I’m looking for a mechanic that works primarily on Ford vehicles. I have an Expedition with the 5.4 that needs some love as it is close to 20yo now. Not interested in dealerships or chain shops, rather someone that works for a living and does quality work.
my stress levels kicking up on the morning commute. driving down the whole wrong side of the road…
Hello! We are looking to possibly move to the Dallas/ft worth area next summer. Looking at a teaching position at North Crowley HS. What can you all tell me about that school and the surrounding area? And what are some areas to look into buying a home that aren’t too far but in a decent area? We are both 40’s, no kids living at home.
Hey everyone, are there any cool events for Halloween in downtown? It might be pubs, lounges, bars, etc. Or something like costume party?
Hi! I’m looking for some buttons and/or pins to round out my Halloween costume. Has anyone seen any for sale around town in vintage/thrift/specialty shops? Or anywhere, really. Either in FW proper or mid-cities. Think Office Space pieces of flair. :)
