Weird Wednesday #39 is February 5 at Southside Preservation Hall. This month we're screening an R rated Romantic Comedy. More info at FWCinema.org
Howdy 🤠! Just wanted to stop in and drop a recommendation a friend told me about. It’s an ice cream shop where you basically make your own mix, then they freeze it with liquid nitrogen. I think it’s a new spot and y’all should check it out!!! They even offer frozen yogurt and vegan options!!! I must warn you, all the options are almost a bit overwhelming but it’s great.
I’ve been hearing LOUD plane noises for about 30 minutes straight. I am near TCU. Can anyone tell me what’s going on? It was SO loud for awhile and it sounded like lots of planes. I’m a little startled with everything going on in the world.
I need to get a car that needs to be junked towed to a salvage yard next week. It's in SW Fort Worth. Any recommendations?
I'm just curious if anyone knows about this guy? What's his inspiration for doing this? We always make sure to wave back and give thumbs up. It's a slim black guy probably in late 30's to mid 40's.
I imagine living in these buildings must be so loud. So many new apartments going up on I-30.
I recently bought an all-black car and I’m wanting to avoid those dreaded swirl marks from standard car washes. I live in an apartment on the southside near Clearfork, so washing it myself at home isn’t really a great option. Does anyone have recommendations for car wash options that are gentle on the paint and won’t cause damage?
Why is Juanitos always randomly closing? I live like 10 min to get food from there and it’s been a few times where I waste my time going there and have to settle for Mil Tacos!
Got a prescription last night sent in, i’m on day 3 of the flu and my local walmarts (park vista and beach), cvs (western ctr) and walgreens (western ctr) are all out of stock. They said to call around but talking on the phone with a sore throat is obviously not great. Any one have any luck tracking some down?
I'm a little confused. Bone Thugs n Harmony will be performing February 7th at House of Blues in Dallas. On Haltom Theater's Instagram page it says Bone Thugs n Harmony will be there on March 9th. Outside of the Haltom Theater post I haven't seen any indication that Bone will be performing at Haltom Theater. However I see that Bone will be performing at a venue in New Mexico on March 9th. I want to buy some tickets for the Haltom Theater show but it looks more and more like a scam. Even the artwork on the flyer for this show makes it look like all 5 members will be there, even though it is very rare nowadays. Does anyone know what's going on with this?
Does anyone know the story? A friend who stopped by my house yesterday described that a smaller fire truck had crashed into one of the clinics close to Henderson. I live a few blocks east and one block south. I could see increased traffic from the people diverted. Curious about the specifics, but I can't find the story.
Im from here, but lived in a small town in the northeast for several years and regularly saw a variety of wild animals. I miss hearing coyotes at night! I know they’re here, because they’re everywhere. But I never hear them, and certainly don’t see them. For reference, I live in the Monticello / Crestwood area near the cultural district, but in a relatively quiet area near woods and the trinity river.
So, I’m curious, where have you guys heard or seen coyotes? Or any interesting wildlife, really.
My brother is moving to Waco and I want to show him a good time in the stockyards.
Where should we go for a Sunday adventure?
I was thinking of the Stockyards, but I’ve only ever been there during the night.
I feel like the day experience could be just as fun.
Looking for a nice brunch spot and what to do 🤠
Anyone know what’s up?
There have been an awful lot of sirens in the Westworth Village area, anyone know what’s going on?
Hello! I live in an apartment building and would like to start a balcony garden of edibles this year. I normally plant wildflower seed packets and tend to solitary bees, but I’d like to successfully grow some edible plants. I tried last year, but other than an unholy and delicious amount of tomatoes I was unsuccessful.
If you’ve successfully grown something through the Texas summer, what was it? Any tips? My balcony is pretty large and gets moderate sunlight.
I'm looking for a place that is fun, easy, no hassle with contacting them or other things. Accepts a group of 4+ people.
I want to try it but I have no idea what place to try first.
