Wanting to get into some work in the oilsands in Fort Mac as I'm looking for a career change. Have applied at Keyano College for the haul truck operator course but still waiting on an interview date. 29 y.o retired rugby player, recently married and happy to relocate at our own cost. I have labour experience and would be happy to start with that again if that's what it takes to get a foot in the door. I have applied at all the usual spots up there and have got a handful of tickets already. Any tips, leads or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
💥PSA!! to everyone on Alberta Drive with a yard towards the highway, someone scoped out every one of your yards last night, so keep an eye on your stuff and check your back yards for foot prints

Ive had a few conversations with friends about how much knowledge of the supernatural I picked up as a kid by reading books at my school library. Thinking back now, is it weird how many books on werewolves, vampires, witches and what not were at the school library ? Frank Spragins Elementary in Abasand Opened in 1975 and closed in 1995 and the students were allowed to keep one book each when they left.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows what happened to the books that weren't taken ? They had many french books, maybe they were left there for École Boréale when they moved in around 1999 ? I heard later they were stored at Clearwater Public School which also closed around the same time.
If anyone has any idea why they had so many occult books to begin with, was that normal for grade schools in the 90's ? Maybe someone knows or knows of the librarian or librarians that worked there or in other area schools at the time. If anyone else went to this school library and remembers anything like this. Any information, stories, memories, or related experiences would be great.
