The truck is at the chop shop now and should be ready in a few weeks then off to the dyno. Over the years I’ve slowly done half of what’s needed to hit the 700 mark and everything else is being done with the turbo installation now with a full fluid flush. I hope the internals hold together. 2019 77k
How does this paint hold up to correction? I’m looking to buy this but it had pretty bad swirling. Would a normal correction do well? Also considering an xpel stealth wrap.
Love everything about this truck. Got it Thursday and noticed when I got it home the horn didn't honk when you lock or unlock the vehicle with the key fob. Ran by the dealer to sign a paper and it honked when I locked it to go inside. No honk to unlock and nothing at home unless I puched the lock button twice. Any ideas?
Anyone installed one of these on a 2024? I’m just about done installing and I’m plugging in the cabin module, which the installation video shows a negative wire to be connected to a post underneath the glovebox, but my wiring harness has no negative wire.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
2018 802A, loving that sport mode and those turbos!
Got power running boards on my F250 and holy hell, it’s awesome.
I want to get some for the Raptor but I love the look of the running boards as they are. Is there any option for power running boards that maintain the stock position and just lower from there? Any option that uses the stock running boards as the platform?
I’m test driving a 2020 today and would like to know what common interior cosmetic issues these trucks may have. I’ve heard shocks can go bad around 60k and that there can be weird shifts into and out of 3rd so will be looking for that. Is there anything else I should specifically be aware of?
Does anyone here know where i can get a gen 1 oem front skidplate for my Raptor? Or does anyone possibly have one in good condition they'd be willing to sell for a couple of hundred bucks? I want the oem because I like the look of it and mine is pretty bad dented from the previous owner.
Gonna replace the tires on my ‘19 soon. Currently have KO2s on it, but I’ve heard around that they’re not that good on trucks, better for SUVs. (Had them on my lifted outback and loved them, the Raptor came with them already). What does everyone recommend? Are the KO2s good to just get a new set of them or should i get something different?
I have it posted on offer up but was wondering if there is a better place. Thank you!
I am new to the truck world and have not done any work on leaf springs yet.
I recently purchased a Gen 1 Raptor. Previous owner installed Deavers. Looking at the install it appears that one of the U-Bolts is slightly in the wrong spot.
My questions are:
I’m serious….
Unfortunately I will be moving to the Colorado area soon and my Porsche cayman time may be coming to an end. I've had a tremor in the past and it was a good truck. But I need more.
How are the braptors holding up? I see them 10K below msrp for the 2024's so im assuming theres some issues going around with them?
As for the f150 raptor, is it 100% worth it for the 11,000 add on package?
Main use is driving a to b, occasionally to hiking spots, camping, some trails, and then alot up to breck, etc for the resorts.
3 weeks ago I replaced all shocks, Geiser springs, OEM UCAs, sway bar end links, full tie rods, and deaver +3s in rear. To the best of my knowledge I installed all of these things right but who knows, we all make mistakes and I was semi in a rush.
Front end: Not really sure how to describe it besides just a hollow sounding “clunk”. It doesn’t seem to do it when rocking the steering back and forwards, just over low speed bumps, mostly smaller ones. Just trying to see if someone can give me the last thing to replace to remedy this. I’ve shaken the truck on the ground and hear no clunk. It also still feels stiff and a little unsettled up front on low perch with the geisers. This setup felt great on my last gen 1
Rear End (Deavers):
For the ride quality, this could all be from expecting to much from all the feedback about the night and day difference. While I do think the jitter is reduced, they still do a decent amount even with 250lbs in the bed. I’ve retorqued twice over the last 1700 miles. They feel stiffer over smaller bumps, but most definitely better over big bumps like train tracks. The driver side one is also creaking like a MOFO. Just getting into the truck it creaks. I might just need to actually jack it up and power wash it to get in between the leafs.
Maybe all the deaver things are normal, but clarification would be great. I’m OCD as hell. Sorry for the long write up and thanks in advance!
No codes, no check engine light on… some days it runs fine, but most days if I stomp on it it will studder, misfire and the check engine light will flash. The truck will go into a limp mode for about 10-15 seconds and then light goes out and back to normal. I have had 2 different mobile mechanics with scan tools tell me nothing is wrong with my truck diagnostic wise… I have changed plugs (Motorcraft) I have looked at the coils. Should I buy one coil and start replacing one at a time and driving it to see if it fixing the issue? This just started happening out of the blue. Any advice is appreciated.
2023 30k (Baja mode is tits!!)
Through October, I had been averaging about 16.5 mpg. More recently, I have been seeing closer to 14. Both of those numbers include a cross country highway drive.
Not that I care much about fuel economy, other than making sure it’s not indicative of another issue. Is it realistic to see a 20% drop in fuel economy when switching to the winter blend of gas?
