So I ordered my truck will there be any changes in price once it gets delivered? and what can I do if dealer surprises me? I don’t have a deposit and noticed plenty of 2024 models still available.
If tariffs happen on Monday on autos AND parts, be ready for your insurance rates to go up. The cost of auto repairs will be more and so will auto replacements. A large part of your insurance rates are based on the cost of repairs. As an ex insurance exec who was part of determining rates at a major insurance carrier, i guarantee that rates will be going up. I doubt the insurance companies will wait very long before using tariffs as the reason for raising everyones rates. I wouldn't be surprised to see 10%+ increases soon.
24 tremor
I bought my 23 XLT in November. At that time I forced the dealer to replace the battery, as the day after I drove it home I got the Battery Saver Mode message. They replaced the battery with new, and did a software update. Today, after driving it over 30 miles I go the "drive the vehicle to reconnect and charge the battery" message. I will be contacting the dealer tomorrow, but really, WTF?? I lost a Tacoma for this? Absolute bullshit.
2023 Lariat - recently had my windshield replaced by safelite. I dropped the truck off and they performed replacement at the shop.
I got the truck back and this has to been the worst installation job in history. I’d like someone to go out the their truck and measure the gap between their dashboard and windshield. On the passenger side of the dash I can put my fingers between the windshield and dash all the way up to my palm. I don’t typically put things up there but the gap is so wide a pair of sunglasses can fall through the gap and get lost behind the dash. The gap on the drivers side is only wide enough I can get my fingers through to about the first knuckle.
Can someone confirm this is not normal?
The horror gets worse from here. The replacement windshield doesn’t have the wiper de-icers available on the ‘23 lux (or at least it’s not visible like my factory windshield). There’s a noise coming from behind the glove compartment that sounds like the defroster is on high - even when the truck is not moving, so this is not wind noise. When I popped the hood to investigate the sound I noticed the cowl wasn’t reinstalled correctly, it’s not sitting flush with the windshield (there’s at least 1/4” gap) and it flaps around because they did not reinstall all the clips to keep it in place. They could not even perform the most basic of functions as the wipers are not correctly aligned to the point passenger side wiper is resting on the trip when parked.
Can some of you go out to your trucks and sanity check me here? Does your passenger side wipers park on the trim? Is there a substantially larger gap between the dash and windshield on the passenger side than the drivers side? Pictures would be appreciated. Also if anyone has had similar noise after a windshield replacement (it happens when truck is not moving, it’s not wind noise) what was the diagnosis? And any advice on how to address these issues with safelite?
Anyone having any trouble getting their ford pass to connect to their maverick. It worked on my 2025 for first two weeks and now it won’t remote start or update my fuel level or location.
Due to wife commandeering the Mav for her commute, I haven't driven it much since purchase. Had a road trip this weekend so got to drive it many hours and learned a few things about the chassis.
At one point, I had to get over a couple of lanes on Eagle Road in Boise (if you know you know) from a stop light and employed top acceleration off the line. That AWD EB rocketed me where I needed to be without concern. The power is there in the 2.0 - that little truck scoots.
Has anyone experienced limp mode (where hybrid stops accelerating while driving) without dashboard lights lighting up and without having a recall fixed on truck recently? Trying to figure out if what happened to me is "limp mode" or another issue. More info below
I got a notification a week or so ago saying "service engine soon" with the check engine light on solid. Truck seemed to be driving fine and and then out of nowhere today stopped accelerating while on the highway. Check Engine light stayed on but no other warning lights came up. Also worth noting is that while I am up to date on recalls, there hasn't been any fixed recently. Last was fixed over 3 months ago and is only 2k miles driven since my last oil change.
Truck info: 2022 Hybrid Lariat, purchased new 3 years ago, 32k miles
I just saw this abomination on instagram. Which one of you sickos thought this was a good look?
Hey all, have a 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat with the blackout package, but really want to get some bronze/copper on those wheels. Any suggestions for where I should buy? Any of you got some you would recommend?
My first mistake was going to the dealership by myself, I was tired drove out with a 2025 XLT Ecobooet, I really wanted the hybrid because I live in a big city lot of stop and go, my dealership website says they have hybrid XLs in transit to them should I talk to them about trading to get a lower monthly payment or wait? Just kinda freaking out a little bit
This is an old Lego book from the library. (2009) Ford Maverick Lego truck in the middle? 😂
25% tariffs on Mexico imports- which includes Mavericks and related parts.
How much are costs gonna go up? and wait times for builds? or deliveries?
I am looking for a 24/25 XL/XLT and the prices at the dealer around me have been all over the place.
I know these things are region specific but I’m interested in ballpark numbers.
If you bought something outside of what I’m looking for feel free to comment. Pricing transparency only helps your fellow consumers!
I noticed a ticking noise coming from instrument cluster going over a road with a bit of vibration. Even getting off that road and little bump would set it off. It was constant clicking/ticking for about 20 minutes. Then when I parked and turned it off, just tapping the dash would set it off. It sounds kinda like a relay turning on or off, or a wire sparking.
Last last two commutes over the same route it would do it occasionally, but I wasn't able to replicate it long enough to record it. Has anyone else seen this? I'm at 20K so I'd like to get it fixed before my warranty runs out, but since it doesn't seem re-creatable I don't want to drop it off at the dealer just for them to tell me SOL.
Why does every other maverick i see still have the stock antenna? Yall look ridiculous, get the stubby!
i plan on getting a maverick soon, but i’ve only driven a corolla and never owned a pick up truck before, sorry if this all sounds silly
Finally my Larait arrived in my hands!
Funny story that happened. So yesterday I posted on here the screenshot saying it's been delivered. I talked to my sales rep this morning and it showed on his system it was delivered as well, but he talked to his manager and apparently it hadn't been delivered yet. I drove up anyway to check out the xlt at least and the other 25 larait they had on the lot to compare.
I realized I wanted the Larait. So figured I'd be waiting another few days. Well he went back out to do a full walk around to make sure they didn't have any green laraits for sale. Well as he did he find that my lariat just literally got delivered as we were talking.
It always kinda bothered me that Ford didn't put the name of the Maverick on the front panel badges, like they do the other trucks, so I fixed it.
2025 hybrid awd xl. The perfect truck in my opinion :)
I have a 2 hour total commute, traded my F150 for this beauty.
Curious if anyone notice the dealers raising the Maverick prices today for cars that are "still in transit" since Mavericks are assembled in Mexico?
In the market but haven't noticed any increase in price in the west coast.
Thanks
A couple days in on the new 2025 Lariat, and there's a few things I'm taking note of, comparing to my 2022 XLT. Some good stuff, some bad stuff, some "I don't know" stuff, but all stuff I find interesting.
Overall very impressed so far, but I still haven't worn the "new" off of it yet.
