Are the 6th gen broncos (manuals in particular) reliable? Some are saying it’s not, while some argue otherwise.
If properly maintained, can it go past 200-300k miles? What about if it’s used (roughly) like a Toyota? How does it compare with 4Runner and Jeep reliability?
I'm thinking about getting a Bronco Raptor to replace my 4Runner TRD Pro (fully built for extended adventure). As the title mentioned, does anyone have a RTT on top of their Bronco Raptor and know what kind of mpg they're getting? My TRD Pro right now has 33s, RTT (~200lbs or so), 45L fridge, 2 portable power stations, 10 gals of water, and a few other things and I get around 16 mpg on the highway going speed limit. I'm happy if I can get similar mpg.
Before you comment "OMG who buys a Bronco Raptor to get good mpg blah blah". Yes, I do care about decent mpg so I can get to far and away places without having to worry about getting stuck.
Thanks
Just wanted to show some love to this sick Bronco I spotted in the concrete jungle the other day. (Not mine)
What is the real-world towing capacity - not the book value - of a 2023 WT 2.7 4dr? Thinking of getting a small camper and most are over what the manual says. And yes, I know I could tow anything that the truck would physically move and I have the gumption to try, so kindly leave off the smart alec comments.
Hello! Kinda new to the ford world, more of a german car guy but have fallen in love with this car. I have recently replaced my passenger side Headlight, and DRL on that side only doesn't seem to work. I have changed the little computer it has, swapped it with a new one or the drivers headlight's computer and but no change. Have tried the drivers headlight on the passengers housing, works. So l'm assuming the wires are not at fault, and has something to do with the computer. Plugged the obd to look for codes, I have attached them. And resetted the BCM but no luck. I would really appreciate it if anyone has an idea as to what ma be the problem and how to fix it. I would be rea grateful :)
I currently have a 4d hard top no rack anything right now. Also could you have a rttent and your front two roof panels off with any rack?
Finally got our Bronco after a few bumps along the way. 3 months of debating, and 100s of Carfax reports later, we’re Bronco Owners!
The Good: Knowing that I’m walking towards what’s usually the best looking car in the parking lot is, in itself, the worth buying this beautiful machine.
The big windows makes me feel like I’m driving above everyone, and I can see almost 180!
The turn radius is still something I’m getting used to as a new owner. It blows my mind everyday.
The Big Bend is the lowest trim but the off road experience is still as good.
Obviously, the drive experience has lived up to what this sub has raved about all this while. I don’t think I can add more.
The Bad: I get the minimalistic outlook people usually have with care like these, and it makes sense but I do regret not getting the mid package. It would have elevated the driving experience to a whole new level
The hard top with deadliners is definitely an upgrade on a soft top or the previous models but it’s a compromise of just a few decibels compared to SUVs. I know it’ll never be as quiet and honestly, I’ve just gotten used to it. The day it’s warm enough to get the top off will make this worth it.
Sync4 sometimes refuses to connect to CarPlay. Maybe it’s my unit considering we already had a Valve body issue on Day0 but if it happens again, I’ll get it checked.
The Ugly: There’s nothing ugly about this beautiful car. That word has no place around my Cactus Gray Beauty
Made an instagram for my Bronco and want to follow other Broncos. Whats your @?
Mine is @reaper_the_bronco
Hi all,
I am new to off-roading but very excited to embark on trails now that I finally have a capable vehicle ('24 OBX Sasquatch 4DR). In addition to taking a long road trip from the east to west coast, I'm looking to stop at some trail sites along the way. Although it won't be anything too crazy, I'd like to be prepared for anything.
What are some tools, accessories, emergency items that you always take with you?
I am also considering spending some time at campgrounds instead of hotels. Any mods that have proven to be useful in making your campground trip more comfortable? I've seen a few mention pop-up roof tents, foam/mattress blocks in the cargo space, even hammocks. Would love to hear some of your general opinions on what has been the most realistic in your scenarios!
Thanks

Cons:
Conclusion. TBD. Will see it holds up with extended road trip to CO this summer. Looking forward to using at night off-roading/camping.
TL:DR: I have access to automotive paint booths, and want to know how to DIY paint my Bronco plastic trim to match my Eruption green vehicle paint.
So I work at a manufacturing company learning to mix and apply various industrial and automotive coatings and we do use high end spray booths. Many fellow painters bring in personal things to be painted. I’ve seen people bring guitars and paint or finish them, and furniture.
So I thought hey if I have access to these amenities and I’ve been spraying for almost 6 months now, what is the process for coating the MIC plastic hardtop and fenders would be?
I have seen on Reddit custom bronco paint jobs on fenders and hardtops and always liked them.
I usually coat steel and aluminum or wood but never have I done plastic and there’s a lot of science and chemistry I’m still trying to pickup. I obviously would want to try and purchase OEM ford eruption green paint for a few hundred dollars and get enough to coat my parts and we do have mixing boom rooms to use for setting up paint and our guns for painting. I use 3m acuspray air guns to mist onto parts.
I’m really in the brainstorming phase of this project and I’d really be curious how to do it myself as I’m young and don’t have the skills or tools to do a lot of things on my own yet.
Wondering if the reverse brake noise issues have been resolved from the 2021-2023 models?
My father in law bought this Bronco way back in the day to learn how to do body work. He never got around to it and it just sat for years on end. Last year he offered it to him with all the spare parts he'd collected over the years.
It finally made it back to Grandpa's garage and he did a quick mock up with the new wheels and tires. He's going to be dropping in a custom exhaust, a 429, 5 speed, completely reupholster the interior and paint it the green the new Broncos come in.
He is constantly rebuilding cars and hotrods, so he said if I want it (of course I do) he'll give it to me in a few years so he can have room to work on another project.
Stuck in between Cactus Gray and Black - I know they are opposite colors. The black looks sexy, but I like the uniqueness of CG...help!
At 45k miles, finally had to replace it. Anyone else replace theirs yet?
Hey Everyone! I am very exited to have my 2.3 BB SAS in transit and have already stared to order some accessories. One thing I have wondered about is installing a catch can. I know they were effective on older ford turbo engines, but how necessary are they with the more modern engines?
A reorganization of the Bronco overland loadout? #milwaukeepackout https://youtu.be/0ouYMgFFTFk?si=RXx-QBA6J1tza9h7
Does anyone know where I can find a full modular bumper? Dealership only sells them in individual pieces and they are priced insanely high obviously
Looking for rubber floor mats. I swear I’ve gone through tons of sites and I’ve found what I think will fit but the images are stock from a random new model vehicle.
Anyone here got a direct link to good rubber floor mats? Nothing special. Weather tech or coverking or whatever. I just want to make sure what I’m seeing is correct.
Many thanks!
Is one just for show? Didn't pay attention to that part till a week later. Any good rock rail/steps. And which bumper do I have can I add winch and bar or would I need to switch it?
