My DCU - Batman: Assault on Arkham

Check out the story so far!

So, a bit of a preface- this is a Batman sequel to the DCU I've been working on (and that I left dormant for two years, what the fuck?), but I originally just had the first movie be absurdly similar in plot to the Batman. I don't think this works for a number of reasons and there will be a first movie coming soon, since I'm not busy with school for a while anymore. This explains all the inconsistencies like Selina being in Gotham and Jason Todd's presence.

This film takes beats from Death in the Family, Assault on Arkham and is loosely influenced by Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.

Welcome to the madhouse.

BATMAN - ASSAULT ON ARKHAM

Directed by David Yaroevsky

Starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne

Jacob Elordi as Jason Todd

Peter Capaldi as Alfred Pennyworth

Rish Shah as Dick Grayson

Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle

Bill Skarsgard as the Joker

Margot Robbie as Harleen Quinzel

Hugh Laurie as Hugo Strange

Peter Dinklage as Oswald Cobblepot

Megan Fox as Pamela Isley

Nic Cage as Basil Karlo

Jesse T. Usher as Waylon Jones

Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon

Erin Kellyman as Barbara Gordon

Plot:

Since the events of the first movie (more or less similar to the recent Batman movie), Bruce Wayne has targeted his efforts on self-improvement, and helping the people of Gotham City. At the end of the movie Robin is shown next to him, and the second game opens with a montage of them fighting crime- with Jason being efficient, but impulsive and sometimes uncontrollable. He gathers a more eclectic rogues gallery. As Batman and Robin have become involved in the dealings of the superhero community, Gotham has begun to feel less real. His villains are becoming more and more metahuman- a plant-woman, a shapeshifting man, it's getting ridiculous. He can't do it alone anymore- illustrated perfectly when a fight with Killer Croc nearly leaves him drowned.

In Arkham Asylum, Harleen Quinzel sits in a large office, nervously fidgeting. Her boss, Hugo Strange, Arkham's head psychiatrist, sits across from her. They discuss her work- to which Strange compliments her greatly, saying that she's now ready to handle the more volatile inmates. She is assigned to give therapy to the Joker.

Joker meets and flirts with Harleen, asking what a 'pretty thing like you is doing in this craphole'. Joker continues to charm Harleen through their sessions, and we are shown an ironic montage of her falling in love, set to some cheesy romantic music that slowly distorts as the sessions become more and more sinister. Eventually, Harleen manages a way to get Joker to escape, and they elope back into Gotham's underworld. But a twist- Hugo Strange is entirely aware of this. He watches it all, with a smile on his face. He looks to his wall, where an evidence board stands on his wall, featuring blurry pictures, news clippings, and artist interpretations of the Batman.

"This is your first test, Dark Knight."

Meanwhile, Batman and Robin meet with Commissioner Gordon at the precinct, but Gordon surprises them by revealing that Killer Croc has been apprehended. Robin asks how, and Gordon reveals his daughter Barbara. She tells Batman that she was able to find his location through DNA left from his near-fatal fight with Batman. Croc is transferred to Arkham, and Batman speaks to Barbara about a possible job opportunity. Jason and Barbara have a flirtatious back and forth, before Batman calls for Jason to come with him.

Later, the Joker returns to his hideout, the Funhouse, with Harleen in tow, giving her a makeover in a vat of acid. He dubs her Harley Quinn, and makes her second-in-command of his gang, the Jokerz. While other gangs such as the Penguin's are comprised of disenfranchised, down-on-their-luck people, the Jokerz are entirely filled with the criminally insane.

The Jokerz move in on the Penguin's territory. They attack sites that belong to him and Cobblepot is furious. He fortifies the Iceberg Lounge, and when a group of Jokerz attack it they're blown to smithereens by a masked guard. When he reports back to Cobblepot, he unmasks and Cobblepot screams.

"Thanks for the easy way in, Ozzie-boy!"

Batman is tipped off by Gordon, who says he was tipped off by Barbara, that the Jokerz have invaded the Iceberg Lounge- notable, because the Iceberg Lounge is nearby to Gotham. What on Earth are they planning?

Bruce can't get into the Iceberg Lounge. He won't be able to sneak in unnoticed- the place is crawling with guards. He needs someone better at reconnaissance and stealth- and he enlists Selina Kyle. Selina tries to reignite their spark, but Batman pays no mind. It's strictly business between them, which he makes clear.

We cut back to Hugo Strange, in his office. Arkham's inmates are growing restless. In a therapy session with Basil Karlo, Clayface needs to be given an electric shock after he slips out of his bonds and attacks Strange. It's seen clearly by all the inmates- who have a rapport with one another, and they don't stand for something like this. Strange calls someone.

"It's only a matter of time before they turn on me. Stage your outbreak and get them out of here before they kill me."

"Take a chill pill, Hugo. I'll be there soon. Kisses and hugs!"

Strange's Arkham becomes totally oppressive instead of restorative as his paranoia grows, and dissent grows among the inmates. Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and Clayface elect to stage a breakout.

In the Iceberg Lounge, Catwoman sneaks through till she finds where they're keeping Penguin. Incapacitating his guards, she interrogates him into revealing that there are tunnels beneath the Lounge that lead to both Gotham prisons- Arkham and Blackgate. This is how Penguin's goons keep escaping. She reports back to Batman who quickly deduces the reason why Joker wants the Lounge, he's planning to stage a jailbreak.

Batman, Robin and Catwoman arrive at the Asylum, as the roar of a motorcycle gets closer. Nightwing appears from Bludhaven, telling Bruce that he can't keep calling on him whenever he needs help. Jason is confused by this, and pulls Dick aside. They have a conversation, in which Dick gives him well-meaning advice, and Jason misinterprets it as condescension.

Gordon arrives with the police, and they tell Batman that they'll be waiting outside and when he gives the go-ahead, they'll move in. Batman shakes Gordon's hand before the team proceed into Arkham, to find that the riots have begun.

Batman tells his allies to deal with his Rogues, and that he'll go after Strange. Robin gets more than he bargained for when he fights Killer Croc and Clayface simultaneously. Jumping into help, Dick tells him to pace himself, but Jason brushes him off. Selina has a scrap with Ivy, and is bested. Ivy prepares to deal the killing blow, but Croc advises her against it. Selina used to be one of them, after all.

Meanwhile, the police are ambushed by the Jokerz, lead by Harley Quinn. A firefight occurs, and the police are forced to retreat when Gordon is knocked unconscious by Harley. They stream into the prison, and the villains and the Batfamily divert attention to them. Notably, there's a three-way-brawl between Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

Batman fights his way to Strange's office, where he confronts the doctor. He reveals himself as competent in martial arts, telling Batman he trained for this encounter. As Batman is on the backfoot, a hole is blasted in Strange's chest as a mysterious figure stands over him. Batman's scowl deepens.

The Joker has arrived.

Guess who's back?

A bloody Hugo asks why, and Joker responds with a question of his own- "Why not?". Joker laughs as he throws Strange out of his office, where he's mercilessly beaten by the inmates. Batman attacks Joker, their battle spilling to the cell block below. Bruce dominates, though Joker uses his tricks to throw him off. Ultimately, Joker uses the lapel on his flower to dispel a small cloud of gas that temporarily blinds him, and Bruce is set upon by Jokerz. Harley smuggles him out, and as Batman fights off the Jokerz, the effects of the liquid wear off and he sees Jason chase them down.

Batman runs after him, warning him against going, but Jason insists he'll be fine. Batman tries to follow, but is pulled back to the fighting by Clayface. Nightwing attacks Karlo, incapacitating him with a shock from his electric batons. Dick tells Bruce to follow Jason, who rapidly runs out of the prison, noticing the Batcycle Jason drove in on is gone. Knowing how much time is lost, Batman drives faster in the Batmobile than he's ever driven before.

Jason follows them back to the Funhouse, where Joker addresses the Jokerz still in the compound. They lament a battle lost, but celebrate the chaos they've thrown Arkham into. Their party is cut short, however, when Jason interrupts, and dispatches the gang members. He defeats Harley with more effort, and the Joker applauds. As he approaches the clown, a wall fixture gasses Jason out with the same substance used to blind Batman, just with a higher dosage, and Joker beats him to death with a crowbar.

Batman arrives to see Harley and the Jokerz unconscious, and Jason dead on the floor. He weeps over his lost Robin, and Dick and Selina arrive to console him. They assure him Arkham is safe and the Jokerz there dealt with. Dick takes Harley to Gordon and she is arrested, sent to Belle Reve Correctional Facility in Louisiana, distraught over her separation to the Joker

In the Batcave, Bruce is consoled by Alfred, who assures him that Jason died fighting against the Joker, and did huge damage to his operations by defeating his second in command. He urges the depressed Bruce to keep fighting, and that Batman is still a symbol of hope to so many people. Bruce decides to keep fighting for Gotham, but that Batman will take a short hiatus. Bruce Wayne donates a million dollars to the citizens of the poor neighbourhood in which Jason grew up, with new infrastructure provided by Wayne Enterprises.

The film ends with Jason's funeral, every hero seen in the universe so far present.

***

A post-credits scene takes us months in the future. The gardens of Wayne Manor are shown, with Jason Todd's grave marked next to Thomas and Martha Wayne's. A mysterious figure appears holding a shovel, and begins to dig.

My DCU (Chapter 1: Gods on Earth - Act 2)

Hey everyone! I’m back with part 2 of my DCU plan! As we shift focus from the origins of the league and the rise of the Legion of Doom, we instead look at the world post-Justice Day, with the acceptance of metahumans and the rise of people who want to do good!

Quick detail to add, imagine that in my part one post, Cyborg was in the first Justice League movie. This part mentions him having been in that movie but I forgot to include him in the act 1 layout. So just look past that and we’ll be fine!

And for those of you wondering, here is the new order for act 2:

  1. Cyborg Season 1 (tv show)
  2. Superman: Bizarre (film)
  3. Batman: The Hush Conspiracy (film)
  4. Wonder Woman: God of War (film)
  5. The Flash: Gorilla War (film)
  6. Teen Titans (film)
  7. Batgirl Season 1 (tv show)
  8. The Brave and the Bold (film)
  9. Aquaman: Blood Ties (film)
  10. Nightwing: Agent Grayson (film)
  11. Suicide Squad: Task Force X (film)
  12. Green Lantern: Red War (film)

21: Justice League: Invasion (film) 22: Shazam: Rise of the Gods (film)

Without further ado, I present to you: act 2!

My DCU (Chapter 1: Gods on Earth- Act 1)

Hey everyone! I’m kinda new here, but this idea has been brewing in my mind for a while! DC is one of my favorite franchises EVER, and I’ve always wanted to see a complete, linear, epic series of movies and shows for it like what Marvel has! Only problem is that so far, the DCEU was kinda... not good, and not what I’d wanted. I’m confident that James Gunn has a good plan in mind, but that’s his vision, and this is mine! I will be following the Apokolips saga path that Snyder and the animated movies followed, but it will be my own version completely separate from both projects (for the most part)! This is only my first phase (or act as I like to call it), but I hope you all enjoy and I can tell you about more!

The projects are in the following order, in case anyone is curious:

  1. Superman: The Man of Tomorrow (film)
  2. Batman: The Caped Crusaders (film)
  3. Wonder Woman and the Justice Society (film)
  4. Nightwing (film)
  5. The Flash: Fastest Man Alive (film)
  6. Green Lantern: Emerald Guardian (film)
  7. Aquaman: King of Atlantis (film)

But when a new group of villains shows up calling themselves “the Rogues,” Barry’s limits are put to the test as he battles this new set of supercharged crooks. What could go wrong?

Setting: Central City

Mid-Credits Scene: After the Rogues are defeated by the Flash, Captain Cold finds himself isolated from the rest in a swat van. Midway to jail, however, the van comes to a stop as the doors are unlocked. Lex Luthor and Mercy Graves meet Cold, giving him a job opportunity for some “community service,” which he happily agrees to.

Post-Credits Scene: While relaxing at home, Wally talks with his uncle Barry, discussing weird changes that have happened since an accident he had recently. He shows Barry that he has gotten super speed, which Barry shows Wally he has too, hinting at the reveal of Kid Flash.

Green Lantern: Emerald Guardian (Film)

Protagonist: Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) Antagonists: Sinestro, Sinestro Corps Side Characters: Carol Ferris, John Stewart, Green Lantern Corps, Guardians Cameo Characters: Mercy Graves, Atrocitus, Dex-Starr

Hal Jordan has been a Green Lantern for about six months, after receiving his power ring, completing his basic training, and swearing his oath to the Green Lantern Corps. However, when a sting with his partner, Jon Stewart, goes off the rails, the Lanterns discover a hidden plot to conquer the galaxy for Sinestro, one of the Corps’s oldest and most fearsome enemies. Hal now races against time to stop the Sinestro Corps. from acquiring their “Miracle Machine,” a device that could destroy the universe if it falls into the wrong hands.

Setting: Oa, Qward, Coast City, other potential planets

Mid-Credits Scene: Sinestro, after being defeated by the Green Lantern Corps., was lost in space within his pod. When the pod eventually crash-lands into a military base on Earth, he is inspected by Mercy Graves, who orders the soldiers to take him away so the “boss” can see him.

Post-Credits Scene: Following the battle for the Miracle Machine, a far-away being known as Atrocitus catches wind of just how powerful the Green Lantern Corps has become. He decides that if their plan is to be enacted, then they should strike soon, while they may still have the chance.

Aquaman: King of Atlantis (Film)

Protagonist: Aquaman Antagonists: Black Manta, Ocean Master Side Characters: Mira, Atlantians Cameo Characters: Lex Luthor, Mercy Graves

Plot: Basically the same “battle for the crown” plot that I’m assuming already occurred in the DCEU movie (didn’t watch it, sorry.) I apologize if this is kinda lazy, I just didn’t have anything for Aquaman. Just, uh... imagine him with blonde hair this time, ‘kay?

Setting: Atlantis

Mid-Credits Scene: Following a climactic battle, Black Manta is rescued from the sea by a LexCorp submarine. Inside, Lex offers Manta an opportunity to be rid of Aquaman forever and finally get his revenge, an offer that Manta happily accepts.

Justice League: Unite (Film)

Protagonists: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman Antagonists: Lex Luthor, Joker, Cheetah, Captain Cold, Sinestro, Deathstroke, Black Manta Side Characters: Supergirl, Robin, Harley Quinn, others (sorry for not being specific, lotta heroes with side casts here!) Cameo Characters: Amanda Waller, Darkseid, Ra’s al Ghul, Talia al Ghul

Plot: The day has finally come. After months of planning, organizing, and hiring, Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom has finally assembled, and with it, a chance to eradicate the alien/metahuman crisis for good. But when the heroes of earth and beyond find not only themselves at danger, but also the people they care about, they must unite to defeat the criminals who stand to destroy them and everything they care about. But can this group of heroes last long enough as friends to save the day? Only time may tell.

Settings: All across the world (namely Metropolis, the Arctic, and other cities and locations)

Mid-Credits Scene: Darkseid watches over his land of Apokalips from up high when a servant of his gives him word that an object called the Motherbox has been located on Earth. Darkseid makes note of this and prepares to send a war to Earth, but the servant also tells him about the new Justice League and the heroes that could stop him. He decides to wait, and formulate a plan when the time may be right, but regardless he is introduced as the big overarching bad guy.

Post-Credits Scene: After being arrested as an accomplice to Joker’s crimes, including the new murder of Robin, Harley Quinn is brought to a government facility. She is interrogated for her involvement in terrorists, before Amanda Waller presents herself with a file, asking her to join her new “elite task force” comprised mostly of criminals like her. She says she needs time to think it over, which she gets... locked up in Belle Reve Penitentiary.

How I would do the next 2 Matt Reeves Batman movies

The Penguin show isn't here but I'm counting on it to introduce more crime lords, maybe Black Mask too, and maybe Harvey Dent, even if just by name, and that it isn't super consequential to the movies. This isn't all that in depht, just some ideas

Heart of the Batman - in the second movie, Gotham is still flooded but now that it's winter, some parts of the town are freezing. Batman has a special winter suit that keeps him from suffering hypothermia because crime keeps increasing after the US declared Gotham was no longer part of the country and blocked off all exits. Penguin has exploited the chaos to rise up and take control of Falcone's operations and just isn't the kingpin of Gotham's organized crime because the Falcone children are still providing some trouble, as well as other small time crime lords that aren't a direct threat, but a nuisance. But to prove himself better than his predecessor, he decides to work with the "freaks" of gotham that have been showing up. In his office he has Falcone's body in a block of ice as a display of power, as he hired Victor Freeze to help him. Victor's origins are the same as in the btas series and he is trying to cure his wife but needs funding for his research. Oz provides in return for freezing some competitors and people who wronged him, and as an extra bonus, Freeze can harvest the organs of his victims for research. Another one of his henchmen is someone who Batman meets in the beginning while chasing a criminal through the flooded gotham sewers, and then ultimately has to save him from Killer Croc. He would look more like his Arkham Origins counter part, just a big man with a skin condition, abused from childhood by the way he looks and turning to crime to live. Bruce has to learn that he needs to use his bruce wayne persona to help Gotham too, and after defeating croc and freeze by the end, he puts his money where his mouth is and cures Nora as Freeze probably sacrifices himself to help Batman get his wife safe in some way, so only Croc goes to Arkham, being approached by the Joker and the Riddler at the lunch table as the only in mates that don't show fear or disgust towards him and Joker tells him how this is all society's fault, not theirs. Batman has to learn criminals aren't evil cardboaxes that want to comit crime and get revenge, sometimes they're just broken and in a bad spot. Somewhere in the scenes of Bruce unmasked and trying to create his persona, Harvey should be introduced, being a friend and a partial inspiration for Bruce's socialite persona, he has a distinct interest in the penguin, wants to bring him to justice, but Oz manages to pull the right strings and get himself free with a mistraial at the end of the movie. I think it would be fun if we got a scene in Arkham of Batman talking to joker because Joker requested it or something but ends up leaving due to it being unimportant, leaving Joker feeling ignored, but it's ok if we don't.

Face of the Batman - the third movie is divided between two main characters and should be as long as the first one to really be able to have it all and it would explore Batman as he becomes more human and learns that he NEEDS Bruce Wayne to be happy and make others around him happy, slowly getting out of the dark, while Harvey Dent's Multiple Personality Disorder is slowly getting worse and driving him into the dark. At the beggining of the movie, these two characters are dining in a restaurant, discussing a case about another criminal batman brought in, a serial killer, Harvey is prossecuting tomorrow and once or twice he accidentally lets out more agressive and extreme thoughts on the situation than he usually would have. The movie is interrupted by Selena Kyle, back from wherever he went, now more rich, trying to be a part of the elite of Gotham, and she takes a liking to Bruce Wayne. Later that night Batman and Catwoman talk and Batman forces the confession that she got this rich by stealing and hates the rich and that she has a new target in mind, implying it's Bruce Wayne. Bruce is now aware of this but he still misses Selena even if he doesn't admit it to himself, thinking it's just a way to keep her off crime if she's busy with Bruce, and takes her on a date to the circus, where they watch the flying Graysons die and Bruce adopts 12 year old Dick Grayson. Selena begins to see there is more to Bruce than meets the eye and takes a bit of a liking to him. Still, Bruce is not the best of dads, he is kinda cold and detaches and Alfred does most of the parenting, as well as Selena showing up once in a while to surprise young Dick with presents when she comes to dine at Wayne Mannor, often both of them being neglected by Bruce as he leaves a lot or is often late due to his duties as Batman, as he tries non stop to find Tony Zucco for the murder of the Graysons. Meanwhile, Harvey is not doing well, he ends up breaking down in court and almost blowing his case for the way he treats the murderer Victor Zazz, who ends up going to Arkham and Harvey has conflicting opinions about it, part of him thinks it's fair that he gets treated and the other part feels like Zazz should be put down like a ravid dog. This is beggining to affect his nightly meetings with Jim Gordon and Batman (I think they should set this up in the second movie but I feel like I already want way too much out of this story), who begins to notice his moodswings and even shifts in manneursisms and tone of voice when talking, like it's two different people. Batman finds Zucco's wherabouts but he ommits the information from the others. At night, he visits Dick as Batman and begins to train him in secret, until he finally takes the boy to face Zucco and they succeed. Both Gordon and Harvey suspect Batman finding ZUcco seemed way too convenient, but while Gordon doesn't really object, Harvey freaks out on Batman and abandons their trio. After tonight, Dick is no longer allowed to see Batman, Bruce already gave the kid closure, he doesn't need to be like his adoptive parent, he can be happy and normal. Things with Selena are also not fine, she has been seeing batman less and less since most of the times Bruce is on patrol, she is waiting for him for a date and ends up either leaving or falling asleep with Dick at the mansion. Eventually all hell breaks lose after Zucco throws acid at Harvey and scarrs him during court. A new series of violent crimes hits gotham. It starts with Zucco dead with a bullet in the head in his appartment and a coin, on heads. Then other victims show up, some of them alive but severerly injured, with a coin on tails, some of them dead, with a coin on heads, the only things in common is that they're corrupt judges or cops, or related to Penguin, and in all of the crime scenes, Batman is adressed in the walls. Corrupt people in high positions are dead, Batman is being directly adressed, a new crazed killer with a gimmick is on the loose. Batman goes to Arkham, he goes to Joker's cell and as the clown begins to catcall Batman and ask if his dear has finally come to see him, Bruce moves past it to talk to Ed, looking to see someone with a similar resume. I don't have a big in depth plan for the rest but the final confrontation would involve Batman meeting Harvey in an old location, with Oz at gunpoint. Harvey is mad at Oz for evading justice for so long, he is mad at the system for letting him do it and he is mad at Batman for possibly letting Zucco commit more crimes by not telling him and Gordon, thinking Batman just wanted the full credit. He has a coin to flip, but there is no mercy this time. Either the Batman or the Penguin die tonight and as the coin flips, they're saved in the nick of time by Dick, in a proto version of his Robin outfit, that has been following Batman at night, seeking the thrill and the company he had that night chasing Zucco, as he throws an improvised batarang at the coin mid air, ruining the unbiased flip, and the moment of panic by Harvey allows batman to beat him, ending the confrontation. Penguin goes to Blackgate, Two-Face to Arkham, and Batman has a new partner, telling the truth to Dick and becoming closer than ever. Unfortunately, His relationship with Selena suffered as she dumps him for his neglet. That same night, Catwoman is stopped mid robbery and is excited to play with Batman again, but surprised he has a kid, finally seeing Robin with his full costume. The movie ends in Arkham. Two-Face walks through the caffeteria and sits next to Killer Croc, unfazed by his appearance, and they share a small funny scene, that is immeditatelly interrupted by madness with an akrham worker with a knife in the jugular and others trying to grab the joker, who is mercilessly beating up the riddler to a pulp for "stealing his Bats" and when finally grabbed by two larger workers, he breaths, laughs and tells Ed that he is forgiven as long as he doesn't pull a stunt like that again, and that they're all friends there

With this, Batman learned how to be Bruce Wayne, to rely on others and we saw the full transition of crime in Gotham until even the forces of law became dominated by the freaks. My biggest influences were the long halloween, dark victory, the arkham games and other bits and pieces of the lore

Ideally, I have another trilogy in mind with villains like Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, Pyg, Strange, even the Joker planned but it will depend on the response here

DCEU if the Legwork was Done

So instead of starting off with Man of Steel and then straight into Batman vs Superman into Justice League the earliest issue with the DCEU was the rush to get to Justice League without the legwork. So here's how I'd have done it in broad strokes.

All the films would have been set in chronological order. Additionally with the intention of building a universe suitable for short form stories which films are I would limit their powerset so they aren't all the gods.

Wonder Woman - Wonder Woman as is is frankly Imo the closest to a perfect Superhero film we are going to get. I'd have set it during WWII instead of WWI (though I also think you u could have had a film set during both since WW is both World War and Wonder Woman) with Vandal Savage as the General instead of the General using a weird gas to power boost himself. There are aspects I wouldn't have included like only a god being able to kill a god and I would have returned to Diana's most classic sculpted from clay origin rather than as a demigod but it's largely brilliant.

Martian Manhunter - This film would be set probably in the 1950s and would be a horror film. Going back to his classic origins and power set. He would appear at Star Labs after a Zeta Beam experiment after which he would tear through the lab like a monster from a horror movie. Phasing through walls, telepathy and shapeshiftong you can't tell me those aren't horror monster powers. At one point he ruins another experiment where a human is turned to flame becoming the Human Flame and ruining his life. In the end Martian Manhunter would come across Dr Erdel who is having a heart attack, read his mind and as the building burns down around him escape into the night in the guide of Dr Erdel the first time he would be shown impersonating a human within the film.

Hawkgirl - I've never liked Aquaman as a member of the starting League. It just necessitates having an aquatic environment in every plot. I love Aquaman as a character but as a core member he's not great. Otherwise all he has is strength and Superman and Wonder Woman are both stronger and Martian Manhunter is no pushover either even taking him back to basics powers. Hawkgirl is nice as she brings an Nth Metal Mace which disrupts magic which the Justice League basically have no defense against otherwise, plus she brings more extensive knowledge of space than a Martian and a rookie Green Lantern. I'd additionally make her the smartest on the team downplaying Martian Manhunters smarts but giving her and Batman a bit to play off. The story would be set on Thanagar but it's the only story I'm having issues figuring out more specifics. In the end she is sent to Earth to observe for some reason.

The Flash - Two years before the present. Barry Allen is a forensic scientist in the police who wants to do more. He's also in a relationship with Iris West and wants to spend more time with her. He recreates the conditions that caused Jay Garrick to become the Flash in the 1940s causing him to become the Flash. The villains are the Rogues: Captain Boomerang, Trickster, Top and Pied Piper (I think others should be left in reserve). They are foiled as Flash learns his powers but are liberated by Clock King. Clock King leads them by having timed crimes perfectly across the globe so that even Flash has trouble keeping up. In the end the story is about how Flash is trying to do too much at once and even the fastest man alive must focus on one thing at a time even if it means letting another crime occur successfully elsewhere.

Green Lantern - John Stewart is chosen by a Green Lantern's Ring and taken to Oa for training. Stewart was a military man who lost his leg and is now an architect. A Ring was previously sent to induct Earth under the protection of the Green Lantern Corps in the 1940s but it never returned to Oa. On Oa Steward is trained as a Green Lantern by Killowog but Thaal Sinestro the Commander of the Corps takes him under his wing. They travel to the Vega system and must deal with some local issues. As Stewart fights one big bad Sinestro goes overboard on another planet. Only one ring colour is introduced here except in the post credit scene because otherwise there's just way too much going on.

World's Finest - We don't need a Batman and Superman Origin so here they are facing Lex Lurhor and the Joker. Lex Lurhor is running for President and is using the Joker to commit crimes and is helping repair it. To help spread the fake news he replaced Perry at the Daily Planet with Livewire who is also working for him. Superman and Batman do battle with a Joker who has Lex Corp resources at his disposal but in the end it is Batman's Detective Skills that give Clark the evidence to print as a reporter that saves the day.

Justice League - The White Martians invade Earth looking for a planet to call their own as the Green Martians discriminate against them on Mars. The League comes together through the course of the film with Martian Manhunter confronting his brother who is the major villain. Most of the League is susceptible to telepathic attacks so they struggle against the Martians.

Black Adam movie

I saw it and was underwhelmed. In world creation the DCEU missed an excellent opportunity. I pictured this film as a bridge from Wonder Woman movie in Ww1 to the modern day. Picture this:

  • time and setting WW2 you could have a Wonder Woman cameo explaining how she’s heading to Europe
  • instead of Intergang have the JSA dropped in to Kandaq to battle the Nazis who were searching for a legendary weapon lost throughout time (Black Adam)
  • he’s found battles the Nazis and the JSA for Kandaqs independence.. voila Black Adam introduced into DCEU, we know what Wonder Woman was doing during WW2, the modern day world is not swamped with superheroes as the JSA age out of fighting in modern time (unless you want to reincarnate Hawkman), Black Adam can fight the. Justice League or Shazam in the sequel
