Just got out of cosmo canyon (og btw) and went to nibelheim. I olayed rebirth first and so the nibelheim section felt much shorter than I thought it would be. Did i miss something? I dont want to skip anything important.

Last night, I did a subtle cosplay of Aerith. Inspired by 'No Promises To Keep' and had an amazing time at the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Orchestra World Tour in Denver Colorado. Amazing music, and beautiful as always 💛🌸

A lot of people say that he overreacted, and unfairly blamed Cloud for Tifa’s accident (which he did). While I agree that his anger was misplaced, and that he wasn’t thinking straight, we also need to keep in mind that:

1. He had just lost his wife, and came very close to losing his daughter in the same day/week.

2. He saw Tifa unconscious, whereas Cloud was basically unharmed (save for a few bad scrapes on his knees from the fall). That already looks suspicious.

3. By all accounts, Cloud wasn’t very well-liked by the other kids (boys) in the village, so Mr. Lockhart probably already didn’t think too highly of him. Which didn’t help matters at all.

It wasn’t Cloud’s fault that Tifa got hurt, but I have a hard time believing any parent wouldn’t have reacted the same way if put in that same scenario.

Thoughts?

Did anyone else think the final boss was extremely hard?

I had to go through a ridiculous amount of trial and error with different characters, items, accessories, materia, and leveling up before I finally found a way to beat him.

Feels good to finally beat it but almost wasn’t worth the trouble IMO.

I don't suppose anyone knows how to extract the acb/awb files from Ever Crisis? Or if they have them, could they share? I'm wanting to make a custom album for the Ever Crisis remixes and The First Soldier, but I'm constantly running into dead ends

Yooo so yeah, I got the ring yesterday, read that combining ADEF+DEST or Odin will cancel the death timer, and it worked! ... yesterday...

I just started playing again today, and now it isn't (?) I double checked my materia, and it's exactly the way I left it (oh, and it's on the armor), and I for the life of me cannot figure out what the heck is causing this to not work suddenly... I checked game FAQs and saw others with similar issues, but those questions didn't have any helpful answers to them, so here I am (spasibo 🙏🏿)

I don't know if it was a mistake to stop in the Grasslands to get a lot of what I skipped/missed early on when I was less aware about each area. But I did stop.

Spent a few hours doing old quests, hitting the sites, clearing out the fog of war. But now that I am done, I am ready to go to Nibelheim and I cannot find the airstrip.

I went through the mine to Junon. If there's an airstrip in Junon or Grasslands, can someone please tell me where it is. I would really like our of this area and to finally progress through the chapter.

Primarily Remake but the OG too. The one winged angel is a powerful symbolic look and I'm surprised that it is Nomura who came up with this concept and not some Italian Renaissance painter. Throughout the history in culture Satan has been described as incredibly hot(and there's some implications for it in Bible too) on the outside and as an ugly abomination in his true form, which checks out for Sephiroth. His white hair might symbolize Satan's age and the suffering that he endured. His long hair looks ethereal. His reptilian eyes fit the Satan too. Only his modern clothing and ridiculously long katana do not fit for Satan.

I'm not Christian, just interested in it's mythology. I just feel like if some classic author/came up with Satan looking like Sephiroth they would be lauded and now in my head Satan looks like Sephiroth whenever I think of him.

Looking for some help on how to fix this issue. Have 7th Heaven installed on steam deck. Haven't played for a while. Launched today and got a notification for an update. Let it do it's thing, and now when I launch I get this error. No idea how to fix this, pls help

Alright, I just need a place to rage/ramble.

So I'm really enjoying FFVII Rebirth so far, after loving the remake. However, I've just got one really annoying and persisting issue with the game.

That being, the whole Queen's Blood thing. I utterly despise it. It's not fun, it's annoying, and the fact they force you to play it to continue the story really pisses me off.

I don't know if I'm just dense, but the game itself seems really complicated and most the time I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm sure there are people out there who love this sort of thing, but I'm going to assume the majority find it annoying, myself included.

What are your thoughts on it? Is this a hot take?

It seems like there's almost never a situation where spending ATB on a summon ability is more useful than spending it on something else with the sole possible exception of Phoenix. It quickly got to the point where I'd summon something just to have it on the screen and then patiently wait for it's final attack. Spending ATB to perform the initial summon, sure that makes sense. But once they're on the battlefield their abilities would probably be better off either not costing ATB at all and maybe just having a cooldown period or, if they must cost ATB, be tuned up to be a LOT more effective then they currently are.

I don't even like the remake but hear me our. I don't think the developers know what to do with him. It's clear from the transformation scene I watched online that it's supposed to look violent and painful. They can't show shit like that and keep it a t rating. Also, do they treat Vincent's monsters? Like a summon?

So I decided that I want to play all of the FFVII games since I hear people say it’s great. I kinda want to play all of the games so I can get the full experience. My one question is what order do/should I play them

! Do you think Zangan would’ve returned to save Zack and Cloud? In a letter addressed to Tifa during the part at the end of disk 2 where you return to Nibelheim, play Tifa’s piano, and obtain her final limit break (Final Heaven), you find a letter addressed to Tifa from Zangan (her martial arts teacher) where he reveals that after Sephiroth burned the village and killed most of the people there, Zangan followed him to the reactor, intent on confronting him. But he saw Tifa lying on the ground, which means he also saw Zack and Cloud. But SHINRA troopers were fast arriving, so he was only able to save Tifa. Understandable since she was his student (and she was also the lightest to carry). Though I’m wondering if he’d have saved Cloud and Zack as well, if given the time. He’d mentioned more than once that he absolutely despised SHINRA, and they were both SHINRA at the time. My head says that he isn’t the type of person to just leave an injured person behind if he can help it, but who know? !<

I'm stuck , I got so far and I don't want to waste gp

I’m in the middle of a play though and have decided to finally take the time to master all materia and looking to do it as I go rather than grind towards the end. There are some materia that have no right taking so long to master - the one that annoyed me the most was Heal - what the hell, am I missing something or that a whole lot of work for something a 200 gil item can solve?

I am so happy because my boyfriend is finally getting into FFVII. I was worried the old graphics would put him off and he'd play Remake (which to me is hardly a remake and requires you to have at least played OG and CC to understand) but he says he's really enjoying the game and story. I've been sitting alongside him while he's playing to just see his reaction to everything haha

Last year, he played a bit of crisis core (he just liked the combat style when I was playing and never meant to get into the story, otherwise I'd have never let him do that lol) but he never got as far as the nibelheim incident or the ending, so he has almost no clue to Zack's ties in the game. Last night, I watched very closely for his reaction to Cloud's retelling of the nibelheim incident. I thought he might catch on when cloud does squats, but nothing. I suppose it's not exactly a predictable twist.

He has NO CLUE what's gonna hit him haha

My roommate is playing the game for the first time and is almost through the Northern Cave. She just linked magic counter + knights of the round. I’m going to break out the popcorn so we have something to eat during the KOTR breaks lol
