So I just got the mt Corel huge materia and I guess I was dumb and parked highwind somewhere inaccessible to me because I think I am soft locked now. What in the world do I do? I just got phoenix materia, ultima, and Barrett’s level 4 limit break today. I’m playing on switch and have no other saves. It’s been a bad couple days to begin with and I’m almost in tears. Please tell me there’s a way out of this.
This is a LOOOOOONG shot. So I won't be hurt if no one knows what I am talking about.
YEEEEEAAAARRRRSSS ago (like 2002-2006) I found a AU FF7 fanfiction titled "Breathe" by Tayeko.
Kinda Y/N story but the author used themselves for a character named "Tayeko Escobar."
Later on, the author moved the series to a personal website to post their publications. Limit-break.org (no longer exists)
I wanted the story the marinate so I could come back, and binge read it, then life happened, and I entirely forgot about it.
In my search, it seems the author then did a tie in to their AU with an RP forum group called "Calamity Wars" (also no longer exists.)
The only remnant I can find is this site: Limit- Break.org FFVII RPG that links to the Limit-Break story site and the Calamity Wars group. There are publications on FanFiction but its only 2 chapters and it was when it was taken down for them to as they decide to rewrite their publications.
I think the second part of the series was under "Rose Gem" is when I dropped the story to give it time to simmer
If anyone knows what happened could they tell me or if it's floating around for me to finish, please tell me.
So I downloaded FF7R quite a while ago when it was a PS+ monthly game. I've since wanted to play it again on my PS5 before I play Rebirth, so I decided I would buy the game fully rather than using the PS+ version from years ago. But when I go to the store, it doesn't seem to let me. I can get it by upgrading my PS+ subscription (I'm currently on essential) to get Intergrade on PS5, but I would rather just buy the game. I don't want to pay a subscription fee to play a single game that I've already played through once. If I was to unsubscribe from PS+, would it give me the option to buy it? Or is upgrading my only option?
Edit: I should mention that this is the only game where this has been an issue. I've managed to buy both Bloodborne and The Last of Us Remastered after previously claiming them with PS+
I'm sure this has been asked before, but where in the story are Remake / Rebirth when it comes to OG? I'm about to finish Remake and I have to wait for Rebirth to come out on PC but I also wanted to play the OG. How much of the OG can I play without spoiling Rebirth and the third part for myself? Or should I wait and finish all three remakes to play the OG?

Hello! I was just wondering about the progress meter for the game on the main page of the ps5. Does it show story progress or overall progression? I just hit the Dust Bowl/Corel Prison and I’m trying to see how much time to budget for it before Christmas.
Hello, I have a problem with my game and I want to know if anyone has had the same problem and if you have been able to solve it. When I try to start the game on Steam, it starts for a moment but the game doesn't get to it and it goes back to being able to be started again. I have tried restarting the PC and Steam and I have reinstalled the game several times but it still doesn't work, the videos I find are not able to help me with the problem either. Thanks for ur time.
I hope this post is ok but I’d like some of your inputs. We’re going to the orchestra in January and we’re not really cosplaying but wearing outfits inspired by the characters. For instance I’m wearing a pink dress with dress boots and a red shrug and my fiancé is going to wear a button up shirt with a tie. I’m torn on what colors to pick for him. Should he have a black shirt with a dark purple tie since clouds outfit in og had purple? Or maybe black with brown to match his accessories in the game. And should it even be a black shirt instead of a dark navy blue? I just really want it to match clouds color palette but having trouble? Anyone here have any recommendations?
Hey, I've just finished rebirth and want a sort of 'checklist' to do before hard mode. Could somebody give me one please? :)
I just finished Rebirth and feel a bit disappointed with the ending. For one, Sephiroth really gets on my nerves, and those confusing battles in countless forms at the end, taking place somewhere in the middle of nowhere, just didn’t work for me. Fantasy or not, it all feels unbelievable when you’re constantly fighting Sephiroth, only for everyone to end up searching for him again at the end… Like, why?
Then there’s Aerith - the specific scene.. In the original FF7, I was devastated and even cried. But in Rebirth, I didn’t find that scene emotional at all. I couldn’t even clearly tell if she was killed. You see her bleeding, but that’s about it. It wasn’t emotional for me and ended up getting completely overshadowed by the ridiculously over-the-top final battle with its 20 phases.
I love FF7, but unfortunately, I didn’t find Rebirth as good, even though I still had a lot of fun with the game.
What’s your opinion?
Hello everyone! Does anybody have a scan of Rebirth PS5 cover? EU or Aussie version please!
My game cover got soaked in water so now I am seeking to reprint it.
Please help! Much appreciated!
Now don't get me wrong, I think Reunion is a fine enough game, the combat is most definitely improved objectively if we're talking about qol updates and just new features like the bonuses at the end of fights. However, I played Crisis Core first, just 2 months ago or so, beaten it, and loved it. I've seen so many people complain about the DMW, how you can't really control Zacks attacks directly, and the whole leveling up system in general, but honestly all of that is why I loved it. The original game was piss easy except for a few boss fights, but there was something about it that made it fun, whether it was trying to dodge at the right time to get the critical, the fantastic moments where I thought I was gonna die and the DMW stops the whole game with the "modulating phase" process, how you couldn't see the enemies health so boss fights felt more intense, and personally I thought the pacing of the fights was great. Yeah they were slow and sometimes clunky, but I prefer that over Reunion's more Kingdom Hearts kind of combat where its more free flowing and dodge spamming. This is probably first time bias speaking but I just had significantly more fun with the OG, I would like to know if any of you guys actually feel the same way.

I've noticed quite a few similarities with FF7
Spoilers ahead
The similarities end here but I still find it curious. The anime is mediocre by the way
This feels kind of silly, but I'm curious. I personally enjoy Chadley's character a lot, although I get why ppl might find him annoying. What I'm curious about is that I also see people surprisingly often talk about how mean and sarcastic he is, and I just don't see it?
This could very well be bc I'm autistic, most of the time I don't have trouble recognizing when someone is sarcastic, but it happens. The times he tells the group to take care, or tells them he understands why they slowed down on world Intel and the like, I always took them at face value. It just always surprises me when ppl take these things as him being passive aggressive. Maybe I'm just projecting. Thoughts?
Wtf were the writers on? Because it certainly wasnt their a-game. I just played through a 30 hour game where nothing f-king happened. I got it on sale for like £45 and I'm still PISSED.
That was such a soulless cash grab, nothing was accomplished. Constantly teasing Zack only for nothing to fkn happen with him, spending all that time to track down and kill sephiroph only to find out, wait he's still alive and NOTHING has changed beyond Cloud going crazy.
I stg I'm never buying part 3, I hope square enix go bust if that's how they want to conduct themselves. I havent even yet mentioned the complete cringe that is so many moments of the game. Aerith and Tifa baring their souls for strangers like who gives a flying f--k.
The combat is decent, the graphics are amazing. But what good is the most pristene, beautiful wrapping paper when what's inside is just a hunk of crap.
I refuse to believe anyone who isnt brainwashed by modern hollywood and disney crap actually liked this waste of time and money.
As a FF fan since FF8, I have never had a chance to play FF7 back in 1997 due to family issue. I'm glad that FF7 Remake is my very first FF7 game that led me into this. When Remake was released in 2020, it only took me 3 days to finish my first walkthru. I was so hyped with the ending and couldn't wait for part 2. Then I had my first child, and time flies so fast. Part 2 (Rebirth) already out without my recognization. I tried to pre-order the exclusive one but failed. Once I got the disc, I played almost 24 hours straight without taking a nap. Sometime later, things happened and I had to stop playing it (at chapter 10) since March. After 8 months, I finally get my free time to put my fingers on the controller once again. This time it took me whole week to finish the remaining game, but...
As a person who had zero knowledge about FF7, Aerith is my most favorite girl since Remake. All the optionals I made were favored Aerith. Although I know she's dead in the OG, I just could not accept that Square makes it way too complicated this time. I played the whole chapter 14 with extremely heavy heart beat. Every scene of Aerith with Cloud, especially they hug each other at the church, before Aerith gave Cloud the white materia and push him to the lifestream and Sephiroth is approaching her from behind, my eyes were in tears.
I finally finished the game with 80% trophies, the last scene with Aerith saying goodbye to everyone on Tiny Bronco was heartbreaking for me. I can't wait for the final part of this trilogy. Can someone explain what actually happened with Aerith, Cloud and Zack right there at the end please? This is too much for me too swallow for now...
Ever since Zack (Alternate Zack CC) cheated death hes pretty much been ending up in parts that acan kill him like the world end timeline and where he attempt to saving aerith and the part where he tried to save biggs but shinra army ambushed him and killed biggs and was in the CC part again but escaped. So hes pretty much in a final destination right now. But hes pretty much gonna play a role in remake part 3 again whatever hes gonna do in it. But hes probably gonna die again which im hoping square can finally make a happy ending for again. Also this happened to wedge where he lived and died which we wished he was appear in remake part 3 but looks like its not happening but we ll see.
I bought the old version of FF7 and realized that pressing a combination of buttons activates a speed hack, trying with another button, I saw that it turns on a battle mode. What is this battle mode for? Are there other cheats?
So I want to work on the plat for rebirth, and didn’t do all the side quests in my normal mode run. In theory, doing them all as I do my hard mode run sounds fun since you can rest at benches to restore mp I think, and it’ll space out the main story pretty well so it feels more fresh as a second playthrough. My only worry is if some are annoyingly unbalanced or hard. I’m in chapter 2 and the quest where you need to get all the flowers had an insanely hard encounter at the end that I barely noticed in my first run, so I’m worried how often that will happen. I also want to do hard mode before I do the simulations because I wanna do all the simulations in a row and due to missing some sidequests in my first run I do not have all the monsters encountered which locks the level 2 region simulations. So my question is if in hard mode I should only do the necessary sidequests for the folios, and then load up a chapter 12 normal save to complete every side quest for the trophy? Or if doing them in hard mode will be fine, or more importantly fun. Also out of curiosity wanted to know if the mini games are more difficult in hard mode?
I'm looking for a place to get the in-game background art (from the original game) to use as my desktop background. Is there anywhere I can go to download them, or is there some way to get them from the game files? I have the Steam version
