Given that I don't truly intend on intentionally reselling cards but financial mistakes down the line could always happen, is it better to keep them in the original sealed or to put them into actual sleeves? I feel like they can scratch in these but also, it's factory sealed so is keeping them sealed better?
What's the take on this?
Hey yall! I’m new to the game and bought a booster box on Black Friday and pulled my grail card halfway in! What a way to start the holiday season! Just wanted to share! (Yes he’s in a sleeve and top loader now, don’t worry!) delete if not allowed!
I started collecting when it all first started, but then I left the game for a long while, and now trying to figure out if what I have is worth more now, about the same, or if all the shiny new cards that came after have put their big lustrous feet all over everything and shit all over early gen card values.
Seen Garnet PR-143 popping up on TCG player and ebay. Anyone know where these promos are being released?

So i like to give myself a little restriction when i build decks. I'm building decks with final fantasy games that i've played. I did one for FF VII, FF X and FF XIV. So now im looking into FF IX. Is there any good cat IX decks or can anyone pitch some ideas. I'm still fairly new to the game but im finding deck building fun. Any ideas help.
Thanks in advance
Hi all! I’m new to the FFTCG! I always have thought the game was 2 players, but is there a format with more than that, or is google tripping?
Hi, I'm an old face who played from op1-10 and attended many majors. Sadly when I moved from California back to Vegas the scene there was falling apart and eventually died off. Now I have a full playset of op1-10 and am always surprised, but happy to see this game is still going. Sadly my next game LoR died and now I'm very begrudgingly playing MTG again and always curious if it's worth it to try and make it back to FFTCGF (a much better competitive game XD).
So few questions:
Such a beauty
I’ve got almost 4k bulk cards sitting around. And no idea what to do with them. I don’t play the game I just love FF and the artwork so they’re just sitting around taking space and I have no idea what to do with them.
Have they released a Squall card in this art style?
Genuinely curious on this since I can't find any info online about the card. Saw on SE website that this set had a signature card and a crystal card, but unsure of the rarity of the crystal card
Materia Hunter Updates
10/27/24 - 11/23/24
- Added Archetype support. Decks will periodically be run through a new archetype engine and tag them with their archetypes. You can search for decks by archetype. If there's an archetype you want to see on the site, submit your own in the #archetypes channel of the discord.
- Starter decks can now be imported into the deck builder.
- Top jobs, top categories and attributes can now be clicked while viewing a deck to highlight cards that match what was clicked.
- When viewing the card details page, a list of cards frequently played together with the card will be displayed.
- Decks and tournaments can now be filtered by format.
- Most pages will retain filter state when going back to the page.
- Most pages will have filter state stored in the URL. You can share your searches with others.
- Changed most pages to use pagination instead of clicking a "more" button.
- Added an option to export decks to table top simulator.
- Added an option to delete all collection data for those that want to start fresh.
- Added opus 24. Cards, variants, tcg player links, octgn IDs, all star draft list.
- Reorganized nav bar.
- Fixed bugs and other minor UI changes.
I went to a local store earlier to enquire about where to start. However, I understand that there are not much starter deck to pick from, which is also good thing in my view - I’m leaning towards picking up the 2 player starter deck Avalanche vs Shinra (AvS)
But the problem starts there - as this is considered a rather old set, how can I play competitively with the local community who started way before me?
I’m thinking of getting the Hidden legends booster box to reinforce the new mechanics. But I heard the recent cards/mechanics would not synergise well with the AvS starter.
Appreciate your view.
I got one of these new Leon's [24-090L] from a prerelease kit and I like the vibe. I feel like there's some troll potential there but I'm still pondering what the way to maximize him is.
I had a question about a certain scenario.
Once there is a Leon in each field, is it possible for either of us to target our opponent's Leon with an ability, thus causing two Leon's in one field and then breaking them both?
Does it just transfer control and then move them to the break zone? Or are you not allowed to use the ability on him at all since it would result in an illegal game state?
Thanks!
As title. Noticed a couple, and don't know if it's a decoration specific x card type, or something
So I’m still pretty new to the game, but I really like it so far and have bought a bunch of boxes already. I have quickly realized that I’m sort of running into the same problem as I did with Magic. A handful of good playable cards and a larger amount of unusable bulk. I like the game but I would like to use some of my less good cards. Commander has always been my favorite format in magic, and I’ve been working out my own version and wanted to see if anyone out there was interested in helping me iron out some finer points, or had been working on a version themselves?
I'm a collector, more than a player or reseller. I love Final Fantasy and I love the feeling of opening up a booster and finding new cards, so I grabbed an Opus V since it was the cheapest one. Love what I've pulled so far (have a few packs left to go).
Any recommendations for the next box to buy as someone who just likes owning pretty cards? I don't care as much about resale value of the cards, though it would be nice to be able to offload all the common dupes if that's even possible lol.
Got with some friends today too open some tcg packs one being the new Hidden Legend box. Did we get Lucky getting 3 FA in 1 box? Akstar from what I've seen is in Opus XIII so could this been an error?
I oppened my first ff tcg display ever and my friends who have been playieng for some years got kind of mad at me.
This seems worth something. Happy I pulled something cool! Love this game!!
Hey guys, I just started to get into the game and bought a box yesterday, I pulled this card but couldn't find it online.
Did I get a good hit?
Does lehftia buff jecht damage also to its self since it is an effect damage. Since lehftia adds extra 2000 damage to a foward, does that mean jecht will also take extra 2000 damage when he enters and targets lets say a 8000 cp foward.
Hi all, just wanted to clarify something, as I'm a bit rusty with FFTCG
I'm in the middle of building a deck with some new cards from Opus 24 (which includes Dominants and Eikons from FFXVI), and I've run into a problem. I plan on hopefully building a deck centered around priming and Crystals thanks to the Warrior of the Crystals job cards. However, I've run into a bit of a problem. I'm adding 2 Light Lucio cards to the deck to make use of the 2 Crystal gain every attack phase, but I was planning on adding Venat (23-115L) as well. I know the rules that you can't have more than one Light card on the field, so I was gonna add Cosmos (1-183H) to circumvent that rule. But I was also planning on adding Barnabas (XVI) and Odin (XVI) to the deck as well as Vinera Fennes to make use of Vinera's power loss ability too. I added Spiritus (20-129H) to circumvent that too, but I couldn't remember if I could have Light and Dark Characters on the field at the same time?
Someone help pls XD
Ok so I picked these up on a sale at my local store. I'm still fairly new to the game. Anyone try getting the boss deck to build a decent casual deck or maybe upgrade it to be super hard mode against it lol.
I'm looking to get into FF TCG, but im slightly overwhelmed with where to start with packs etc, I've seen there are Opus sets that contain cards from various games and then some named expansions from more recent years.
What are the contents for these packs, are they each based on specific games from the series or something like that? Any help would be really appreciated, been googling but yet to find a definitive answer
I'm starting to get into FFTCG. So far I've been enjoying it. Picked up these to add to my growing collection. I was wondering if there are any discords or maybe places to play online. The fftcg scene in my area is still growing and days they do meet to play I'm usually at work. So im looking to play games online.
Thank you
