I'm expecting an extreme overachievement. I can't see this movie doing less than $1B at the box office. Established franchise. Established actors. Established team just not on the big screen. This is marvel's first family we are talking about. They came before the avengers and the x-men. Now their turn to finally be cinema icons. Something to note is how extremely close the release date is to Gunn's Superman.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, the release dates being extremely close will only hurt Superman and not this movie. A non cloud Galactus (of which many of us here have waited since 2007 to see) inevitably outdrawing and outshining Superman is a reality many DC fans will just have to accept. Thor 3 outdrew the first ever live action justice league movie and no one was really surprised. Expect an epic poster with Galactus in it.
If this movie does poorly critics wise, expect for them to be shelved once again after secret wars and to be bombarded with x-men content in their absence. New Rockstar's analyses confirms they're gonna be fighting Galactus, Silver Surfer, and Mole-Man. Solid villain line-up although I do seriously wonder who the hell they're gonna fight in the sequel if there is one...
Despite my confident box office prediction, something about this movie just screams an inevitable 7/10 IMDB rating to me even if I can't exactly put my finger on it. I think it has to do with the backlash of Pedro being Reed, silver surfer's gender swap which will trigger the woke crowd, and it being a 60s setting origin movie in a universe the audience doesn't care about it. Literally everyone already knows the ending will be Galactus winning and devouring their planet but not before the team ends up in earth 616 in time for A5.
I think that my hottest takes are that I love the idea Doom being in the accident and I also think that the Fantastic Four needs to have their origin updated in some way.
I like these ideas a lot more in concept because I don't think they've been pulled off well, but I like the ideas
what are your hot takes?
As far as I know, Valeria and the Maker only met once, and very briefly, in Cataclysm (before Valeria's and Franklin's age-up in Secret Wars). They didn't even get a chance to talk. Still, the Maker seemed to have a soft spot for her. What do you think would happen if current aged-up Valeria, as Brainstorm, found herself in the New Ultimate Earth (6160) and the Maker offered her an uncle-niece treatment similar to Doctor Doom? How do you think she would respond?
In a positive way - for example, making some sort of deal, accepting that Earth-6160 is the Maker's to run (like Latveria is Doom's), and as long as he stays away from Earth-616, she would remain close to him?
In a negative way - for example, joining the Ultimates to oppose him?
In a neutral way - for example, she would just leave and come back to Earth-616, not wanting any sort of relationship with the Maker.
He's the 2nd mutant we've seen in the mcu don't remember much else about him. Marvel removed his bulge in the movie which did happen just gonna have to look that one up.
Okay, most of the 90’s Heroes Reborn was trash in my opinion. However Jim Lee/Brandon Choi’s Fantastic Four run was pretty good in my opinion. I would say this was a better alternative FF than the Ultimate FF.
