Hey everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone here is using a Fanatec CSL DD & CSL Pedals for playing Farming Simulator FS25. My kids are really into it, and while I don’t care too much about working force feedback, I’m curious if the CSL DD & pedals works well for the game. I’ve heard it might need some setup, but if anyone has tips or advice on making it run smoothly, I’d love to hear it before buying
Thanks in advance!
If you were to choose between this 2 steering for your daily drive (open world), which of which is your preference and what are the pros and cons in between.
Like the title says... I currently have the PS GT bundle, looking to upgrade the wheel during black Friday sale. I pretty exclusively play ACC.
Should i go for the Mclaren GT3 V2 or the Formula 2.5x??
Thanks in advance
it seems like corsair just remove fanatec from its website....
Anyone know what's going on? Some hours ago I received an ad email from corsair and the fanatec was still there but now it disappear
I recenly just purchased a Clubsport 2.5, and it calibrated and centered properly but now will not detect the new BMW GT2 steering wheel I bought. The led is not turning on. I’m trying to update the firmware manually but am getting stuck on please wait every time
Late last week my shifter decided it wanted to automatically start going into H pattern from Seq. quick RMA and fanatec sent me the part I needed to fix it.
Then on Saturday my load cell pedals decided to stop working mid race. Been trying to fix it since then but my PC won’t recognise the pedals so made another RMA.
Decided to isolate the load cell and just try the original brake and throttle and they work so now it looks like it’s just an issue with the load cell, so at least I can carry on racing while I wait for it to get sent back.
But whilst testing out everything with my new two pedal setup, I noticed the handbrake only registers to 60%, I’ve recalibrated it and that’s all I’m getting. Another RMA is imminent
Had all my gear roughly a year and this is the first sign of issues.
So what should I do? Do I get all gear fixed and then sell with a year’s warranty or do I hold on and hope this is just bad luck.
I’d hate it to break again after the warranty has run out. Guess I can hold tight for now and decide what to do in 6 months.
What would you do?
Looking to upgrade my base from csl DD 8nm to clubsport DD 12nm and wanted to know when am I able, more or less, to see if they do a nice discount in it
As the title says, for those who have played ACC on computer and PS5 with the more recent update to ACC, is it significantly different? Feedback wise, game play, etc is it that much better.
I have a PC I just need to upgrade the graphics card and it could be used for ACC and iracing. It’s just that I hate pc. I love the ease of use with the PS5. I just don’t have the time as a mom of 2 to mess around with the PC as much as I use to. The convenience of firing up the PS5 and playing for the hour of free time I get is so nice.
BUT I do love sim racing and I hate to spend all this money on gear and it not be as great as it could be.
My 6yo plays gt7 because he loves the cool cars and honestly ACC is too hard for him at this point. But I could just keep my old Logitech set up for him for the ps5 and go PC.
Thoughts?
can i just screw it to the wheel or something? bc i would only use one wheel
Recently my base gave out and going to send into fanatec to try to repair it but if they can’t should I buy a new one immediately or wait until Black Friday/cyber Monday and hope they aren’t sold out?
Hello,
With Black Friday coming up soon, I would like to change my rim. So:
- I have the DD Pro 8nm, with the GT rim, and the LC brake
- Very happy with the wheelbase and the pedals, not so much with the rim (mostly because there's no way to assign the GT-specific buttons)
- I play mostly Automobilista 2 and GT, and I'm considering moving to iRacing. Occasionally I play other stuff (Wreckfest, EuroTruck but not much).
- Favourite cars are Formula cars, both vintage as well as new. Mostly 90's.
I would like to buy:
- ClubSport Steering Wheel F1® Esports V2
- CSL Steering Wheel Flat 1 V2
- Metal QR2
Immersion is 90% of the deciding factor for me, and realistically I can only buy one of them at a time. I'm a bit torn because the Esports V2 seems to be perfect for modern Formula cars and nothing else (which means that I would be using it for modern Formula cars and then back to the GT wheels for all the rest), while the Flat 1 V2 is a bit more of an all rounder (which means that I would only use this). I keep changing my mind from one to the other.
Opinions? Suggestions?
As stated above, I can't get rid of any items that i have added to my shopping cart on the website at any stage and now I have 7 steering wheels in there that I can't remove.
Tried on phone and PC, same result.
Does anyone have any idea what to do or just try to contact support?
Hey everyone,
I recently got back into sim racing after a long break, and I’ve been hooked! I used to play ACC and AC, but now that I’ve picked up iRacing, I’m back to being addicted. For now, I'm still using my G29, but I'm planning to upgrade to Fanatec gear.
I’ve got my eye on one of the CSL DD Ready-to-Race bundles. However, I’ve got a few questions before I make the leap.
First off, space is really tight for me, so getting a full rig isn’t an option—I’ll be using a desk clamp. My concern is about the noise and vibration. With my G29, the vibrations are so strong that they shake my whole desk, which, let’s just say, isn’t very popular with the rest of the household lol. Would the CSL DD create even more vibration, or would it be quieter since it’s not belt-driven like the G29?
Also, would the 8Nm version be a good choice for someone who’s still getting the hang of things? Or should I start out with 5Nm for now and upgrade later?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Just installed some SimMakerZ magnetic paddles in my GT DD Pro wheel and the right side is putting preload on the microswitch, so that it has to be flexed backwards to reset.
Has anyone else had this issue? I can’t find any contact info for them other than their web form that goes unanswered.
Especially looking for a bundle for PS5. The choice is so limited I don't understand why.
Hello everyone, I decided to try sim racing after I had an opportunity to race on a high end thrustmaster 10nm simulator which was super immersive and it was like a dream. I have been searching for my first fanatec ready2ride bundle and I wanted to choose one of two 500 euro option which is gt3 McLaren wheel or 8nm boost kit. Which one do you think will give me more immersion? Second question - How hard is it to mod (and is it recommended?) on my own for example doing some 3d prints with a spring to replace load cell kit? Buying replacement 8nm power supply? Or printing/buying gt3 wheel on my own? And the last 😄, can I expect any sales because of Black Friday from fanatec?
Thank a lot for all answers!
Recently purchased the CSL Pedals LC from a friend in a league I race in. They used these pedals up until 3 weeks ago, when they installed new pedals to their rig. At the time, they only used them plugged in directly to a Fanatec wheel base, whereas I am plugged in via USB.
Currently, they have not been able to be recognized anywhere by Windows, which means I cannot see them in Fanatec Control Panel. Below are the steps I've taken to try and rectify this:
I've researched many reddit posts and Fanatec forum posts and have found similar posts that seemed to go unanswered, which is unfortunate.
If anyone has any other suggestions to a possible fix, I'd really appreciate it.. otherwise I'll just reach out to Fanatec support directly.
Hi, all.
I have sectioned out about $1000 USD for new Sim Racing gear and I’m considering the below combination from Fanatec:
CSL DD (8Nm) + CSL Pedals LC + McLaren GT3 V2 Wheel [+ QR2 Wheel Side] = ~ $800
Given that we’re so close to Black Friday, would you suggest going bigger and getting the ClubSport DD (12Nm) instead, if available at a nice discount?
Primarily racing off of a Series X, but would like to expand into the PC Sim Racing capabilities in the near future.
Not trying to be a complete cheapass here but I joined the Fanatec ecosystem last black friday and spent a total of under $600 to get the CSL DD, Formula 2.5, and Elite V2 pedals, and I love it all!
But while the Formula wheel is a really nice piece of kit, it's obviously not ideal for a lot of racing. It feels INSANE to spend $400 or more to add another wheel to my setup that only cost $600 so far, and I'd really like to stick to 2 wheels to cover most uses. I'm still on QR1 (metal, at least) and for now the cost of upgrading everything to QR2 seems silly. Of the round or round/flat/square wheels that are available in the $200ish range (or less!), are there any favorites? Any advantages to one over another? Any huge disadvantage to the wheels in the clubsport range (seems like the only way to go for the price I'm hoping) or are there some third-party options I'm not aware of?
The only wheel I currently own is the McLaren GT3 V2 wheel which I use on my CSL DD (with the 8nm boost kit), I mainly play the F1 games, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizone, and it's a great wheel, is the F1 layout of the wheel worth it for open wheelers? the idea of thumb encoders really appeals to me for quick changes mid race, thinking of adding the Formula V2.5 wheel to my collection, let me know your thoughts and or experiences.
I'm testing my scl dd base for the first time with a p1v2... I start to have fun and in the middle of a game on AC I have no more force feedback, then I notice that the buttons don't work anymore and then I see that my wheel is just not recognized at all in the fanatec software.
I unplugged it, plugged it back in, restarted my base, disconnected and reconnected the usb, repaired the drivers, uninstall and reinstall the software, turned my pc back on... still nothing, fanatec considers that there's no wheel connected.
