For those that remember the fake Thanksgiving trailer from Grindhouse. I've now created a full length movie version based on the aesthetics of the original idea and it's awesome.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL!
Does anyone know where I can watch this? I tried reaching out to the creator on fanedit.org but their profile limits who can view them. I would love if anyone can dm a link. Thank you

Synopsis:
In the bleak, unforgiving heart of Gotham City, Unhappy follows Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) as he struggles with the aftermath of his violent outburst and growing notoriety. Confined within the walls of Arkham Asylum, Arthur finds himself withdrawn from the chaos he ignited, yet haunted by visions of an uprising outside that he feels responsible for. Amidst the eerie routine of the institution, Arthur meets a mysterious woman (Lady Gaga), another patient, whose life has taken dark and tragic turns. Drawn to each other by shared experiences of pain and isolation, the two form a volatile and deeply emotional connection. As their bond intensifies, so too does their descent into a shared delusion—unhappy—that blurs the lines between reality and their darkest fantasies. Together, they embark on a twisted journey through the shadows of Gotham’s underbelly, challenging societal norms and fuelling each other's worst impulses. In this dark, psychological exploration of love and madness, Unhappy questions the limits of human connection and the consequences of unrestrained chaos.
Intentions:
This film has the potential to be one of the year's biggest misfires, but there’s a stronger story hidden beneath its surface. My intent with this re-edit is to strip away the jarring musical numbers and clumsy singing that detract from the film's core darkness, revealing a narrative more grounded in psychological horror. By focusing solely on Arthur's tragic spiral and removing any glimmers of hope or redemption, I aim to create a version that’s relentlessly bleak, allowing the audience to feel the full weight of his despair. This reimagined Folie à Deux will be a grim character study that offers no escape for Arthur—or the viewer—from the depths of Gotham's shadow.

Looking for as many Halloween fan edits as I can! If anyone has one they would like to share please let me know! Thanks so much and I appreciate everyone’s hard work.
Synopsis:
In this sequel to Tim Burton's cult classic, Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder), now an adult and a mother, returns to her eerie roots when her daughter, Emily, stumbles upon the decrepit Handbook for the Recently Deceased. Haunted by unresolved ghosts from her past, Lydia must once again confront the mischievous bio-exorcist Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), who is just as outrageous and unpredictable as ever.
As the boundary between the world of the living and the dead becomes dangerously thin, Lydia and Emily find themselves caught in a supernatural battle involving chaotic afterlife bureaucrats and ancient curses. Desperate to protect her family and stop Beetlejuice’s latest schemes, Lydia teams up with some familiar spectral faces, uncovering dark secrets about the afterlife and her connection to it.
With gothic humor, absurd antics, and Tim Burton's signature visual style, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice blends nostalgia with new thrills, taking audiences on a bizarre and heartwarming journey through the weird and wonderful world of the undead.
Intentions:
I thought this sequel was a great addition to the franchise, capturing much of the original’s charm. However, it felt bogged down by an overabundance of plotlines and constant cutaways that detracted from the main story. In this fanedit, I’ll focus on tightening the narrative, starting by streamlining Delores' introduction, which I felt dragged on without adding much to the overall plot. Additionally, I'll be removing the subplot about Wolf Jackson being an actor, as it felt unnecessary and pulled attention away from the core story. My goal is to create a more cohesive and engaging flow while maintaining the film's unique spirit.

This is my edit of "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" that condenses the film into a 1 hour, score-only version with subtitles. With the final prequel film done, this will be my last score-only Star Wars project.
In terms of narrative changes, this is overall the least radical and most changes are more to do with omission than revision. Some broad ones include:
Compared to Clones, this was significantly easier to work on as there was not too much repair work needed besides clicks/pops and some background noise here and there. Out of all of the score edits, this is the longest because of both the pace of the original film and how much of it feels integral for the narrative cohesion. I really enjoyed working on these and hope you have enjoyed watching them! As usual, there's a trailer and the page for Movies Remastered below if you want more specific details. DM me if you would like a link. Thank you so much!

Synopsis:
Arthur Fleck, a socially awkward man working as a clown-for-hire, dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian. While juggling his small advertising job, he also cares for his ailing mother, Penny Fleck. As Arthur delves deeper into his mental illness, he uncovers unsettling truths about his past. Battling constant ridicule and rejection from society, he spirals into darkness, eventually giving rise to his infamous alter ego, the "Joker."
Intentions:
While I didn’t dislike this movie when it was released, I felt it didn’t quite live up to the overwhelming hype. Arthur is portrayed as a loser too early, which sets the wrong tone for the audience from the start. In this edit, I aim to help viewers connect with Arthur on a deeper level, allowing them to experience his descent into madness more gradually, and in real time.

Synopsis:
Coming Home in a Body Bag - Part 2 delves into the harrowing aftermath experienced by Vietnam veterans upon their return to a country that had seemingly forgotten them. Once hailed as heroes, these men are now met with indifference, scorn, and neglect. Struggling with the trauma of combat, they find themselves cast aside—discarded by a society eager to move on from the horrors of war.
This chapter shifts its focus to the personal struggles of these veterans as they grapple with PTSD, physical injuries, and the emotional scars of having fought for a country that no longer recognizes their sacrifice. Their bonds forged in the fires of battle are now tested by a different kind of war—one of alienation, addiction, and survival in a world that has turned its back on them.
The film examines the stark contrast between the patriotism that sent them to war and the cruel reality they face upon returning. It’s a powerful commentary on the human cost of conflict, the betrayal felt by those who served, and the long road to redemption that many never find.
Coming Home in a Body Bag Part 2 not only honors their service but highlights the social and moral failures of a nation unprepared to care for its wounded warriors, making it an essential continuation of the story of brotherhood, sacrifice, and the cost of survival.
Intentions:
After the overwhelmingly positive response to Part 1, I felt inspired to continue the series, as referenced in True Romance. With Part 2, I wanted to shift the tone entirely, focusing on the Vietnam veterans returning home to a country that greeted them with hostility and neglect despite their sacrifice. The aim was to shed light on their struggles to reintegrate into a society that had moved on, while showcasing the diverse challenges each soldier faced.
Initially, I hadn’t planned to include a love story, but with so much pain and horror being depicted, I felt it was important to give at least one soldier a glimpse of hope amidst his battles. Additionally, I wanted to emphasize the struggles of women—mothers, wives, and girlfriends—who were also profoundly affected by the war and its aftermath. Their perspective is often overlooked, but their pain is no less significant.

Synopsis:
Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.
Intentions:
I've been asked to edit a PG version of The Barbie Movie which removes all the misandry, patriarchy and "women having to manipulate men to win" nonsense.
I've also removed all crude jokes about "Beaching off", genitalia, sexual innuendo, pregnancy, and flat feet being disgusting and mention of mastectomy, in order to create a movie that's based on self development, compromise within relationships, maturity, self awareness and toxic positivity. Which seemed to be overshadowed or missing from the original.
I've also created a new ending where Barbie and Ken try to make a long distance relationship work because they're actually in love in this version.

Remember, if you find this edit triggering, it simply wasn't made for you. ;)
How do I remove music on film without damaging Sound Effects and Voice I tried splitting the 5.1 centre channel that didn't work because the music bleeds in from other channels.
Can anybody tell me how to do it?
Does anybody have a movie fan sound designed without music?
I will be presenting the history of fanediting and talk about my experience with The Corcoran Cut during a panel at Quebec Comiccon next October. I won’t forget to mention the welcoming faneditor community and the constructive exchanges that I have had throughout the editing process! My cut is still available here: mathismando74@gmail.com
Spider-man 3: The Remastered Cut is a fanedit that improves every second of the movie to better match what sam raimi, and us spider-man fans wanted for the movie. This includes enhancing the horror aspects of the symbiote, reworking harry and peters arc, giving life to the sandman, removing cheesy bits of the movie (this doesn’t make the movie bland, it maintains the cornyness that spiderman encompasses, bully maguire just had to be trimmed up.) and also removing the irritating parts of peter and mj's relationship.
Overall it genuinely makes it easier to watch and more enjoyable. I will say that there are some artistic touches but none that are disappointing source material or viewer understanding. I am a very big spider-man and film nerd. The fan edit does not disappoint. Everyone who wants to see it, and/or the cutlist, comment down below!
(Side note: do not read the entirety of the cutlist or just not click the spoilers, for the people who haven’t watched the movie in a long time or ever, you will be in for a very exciting trip watching this version of the film, rather than the original or many other fan edits of it. Jump scares, twists, and unexpected moments will be a plenty!)
Hi, I'm looking to see if any one would have Halloween 2018, Kills and Ends extended versions of the movies and can share if possible. Thanks for taking the time to read.
This is my edit of "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones" that condenses the film into a 55-minute, score-only version with subtitles. This is another in my line of Star Wars score edits, which my next and last one will be Revenge of the Sith.
The narrative changes are not radical with the cutdown and rather has more omissions regarding certain aspects of the film. Here's a couple of broad ones:
I enjoyed working on this project, although I do want to note that there was a lot of cleanup required as tracks had a lot of artifacts and background noise. It is heavily mitigated, but there is some still in there so do mind that. Didn't want to subtract too much to compromise the recording. Here's a small trailer below and if you are interested in seeing it/knowing more changes, check out the link to the MRDb page for it or DM me! Thanks!
Hey Everyone, you asked for them, and here they come. You can now watch The Acolyte Corcoran Cut with English embedded subtiles in the .mkv files (VLC and Google Drive). There is also French subtitles.

Hey everyone, it has been a great ride. That was my first incursion in the fanedit community. Your feedback, comments, word of support and positive reviews (WOW!) were more then I could expect. I felt welcomed, you’re great folks, thank you all! Keep it up! Although I’ve learned a lot using Resolve - I knew already this software but working on something tangible contributed to reenforce my knowledge - now I must get back to my day to day duties, teaching and my other movie projects. I enjoyed so much this venture, that I might come back next year. I’ve always wanted to tackle the Ahsoka series (which I love by the way, for its well assumed space fantasy imagery!), something is still off with that one, pacing wise.
Much much later (for The Acolyte), I might provide .srt files for subtitles - by Christmas (French and English). Transforming the actual stereo mix to 5.1 surround would also be a great improvement. Finally, an upscale 4K, but all that much much later, maybe even next year…
HOW TO WATCH THE CORCORAN CUT
I changed the way to distribute it (the master file will no longer be available).
I will not respond to public request on the thread (no pun) anymore.
I might respond in the private chat, by asking you to write me at my gmail address…
NOW YOU MUST write to me personnally at this email:

Thank you again for your support!! Peace! And May the Love for Star Wars be forever with You!

Hi everyone!
I recut The Acolyte into a 165 minutes movie, with Jedi master Sol as the main protagonist (almost)... For more info see my page on Movieremastered.com : https://www.moviesremastered.com/movieinfo.php?id=10773
Here is what fans saying :
This fan edit is Fantastic! Takes the Acolyte from a 2/10 to an 8/10. Right from the off the story was engaging and fun. Goes to show that the problem with the Disney version was not with the story but the presentation and pacing. Cut away the weakness and the strength remains. The Corcoran Cut takes the Acolyte from a Bag O’Shite to Dynamite. Definitely worth a watch. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is the best version so far, it really makes it watchable, less cringy and more logical in every way.
Seriously, why can't they just edit like this themselves anymore these days? What a great edit! I would have cut the saber bleeding and the Darth Plagueis scenes myself, and let the Venestra / Yoda scene intact, but apart from that well done! The Acolyte is finally watchable now!
Great fan edit!!
The fan edit of *Star Wars: The Acolyte* Corcoran Cut, masterfully transforms the original eight episodes into a captivating 2-hour, 44-minute film.
Smart, smooth and fast
Corcoran did a spectacular job of rescuing the best of the visual elements of an extremely uneven show. He focused on conveying a visually entertaining experience without sacrificing pacing and created a very enjoyable narrative. Definitely recommended
Star Wars - A Sol Story
A much more comprehensive way to watch the Acolyte. (...) Since we are following Sol the story works so much better and the motivations are much more believable. (...) I would be happy to have watched this version in the cinema instead of what we got!
I will follow your Star Wars Work with great interest!
