Who doesn't love playing around with a Famicom or Famicom Disk System?

EDIT: SOLVED - using a multimeter I found a trace that had burnt out, bridged it with a bit of solder, and the game works perfectly now!
ORIGINAL POST:
I recently bought of lot of 20 Famicom carts labelled as junk for cheap. I've tested all of them now and after a good clean with IPA and a cotton bud, all except one work perfectly.
Lode Runner is the one that doesn't work, just puts up a grey screen, which is the same as what happens if I power on the console without a cartridge in it. I opened it up and gave the contacts a better clean with IPA again, but still nothing.
I gave a closer look at the components to make sure nothing was damaged, and all components and solder joints seem fine, but I did see that there is possibly a missing component next to the larger circular hole, marked "V" which has through hole leads on the other side, like something was meant to be there, but isn't.
I looked up what the PCB is supposed to look like, but it looks completely different according to this page, and the layout is apparently the one for Pinball / Baseball, but with the rom chips having the labels for Lode Runner? Also I noticed that in the Pinball / Baseball photos, they have the points marked "V" jumped with solder, and the points marked "H" are empty, which is the opposite to my Lode Runner cart.
Is this just a different variation of the cart, or maybe a repro using the Pinball / Baseball board? And in any case, does anyone know what might be the issue with it not booting? Maybe whatever component is supposed to be at "V"?
Hey! As an European, I was looking at the best marketplace to buy games. And to avoid a maximum the ship fees.
What is your ways ? eBay ? Vinted ?
Hi folks. I've had a Famicom for along while but recently i switched which televisions i use with it as my other one bit the dust.... Long story short.. There is all this weird artifacting that's being captured through my capture card..... When i look on my television it looks to me like it's jailbars. It seems to manipulate itself when one of the controllers is placed near or underneath the famicom directly underneath the RF section. It doesn't necessarily disappear just becomes less noticable..... However the jail bars are certainly noticable.
I realize RF isn't the cleanest signal. And maybe i'm just being totally nitpicky for a console that's from 1983. but is there a way to clean it up perhaps?... I know about shielded cables already... I'm using a RF to Coaxial adapter
Should i cover my bedroom entirely in tinfoil? Should i cover the radio towers in tinfoil? Any suggestions really are welcomed at this point...
Hello!
I recently got a Famicom with the plans of doing an AV mod on it. I kind of messed up and bought all the ingredients for this video. However, it turns out I have an older version of the console than in the video. My RF modulator is separate from the motherboard, and the pins are all in different places.
I am curious if I can still do this mod on my Famicom or if I need to buy some other stuff. I was thinking of just finding the pins he is describing in the video on my motherboard and connecting the same things to them. Would this be a viable option?
Thank you so much for the help!
I'm trying to play the famicom disk system version of Esper Dream and it won't Let Me Go any further than the first segment of the Maze because a set of severed hands Pop out and shoot me to death before I get a chance to fight them. Does anyone know how to get past this?
Hi. I’m new to the subreddit here.
So I bought a stock Famicom I think a few months ago, and I’ve been trying various methods of getting it to hook up to my TVs, which none have really been in my favor. So because I’m not skilled enough to solder, I wanted to see if anyone on here had any modding services available for a reasonable price. If anyone has any available services here, feel free to reach out to me. Thanks!
Really want to buy one, but I don't even want to mess with the idea of anything besides AV or HDMI. I came across AV famicoms on Ebay for a good price. Is there anything I should know? I plan on getting mostly Rockman games.
Is there any significant difference in Composite video signal among the AV Famicom board revisions?
One of the Famicoms I av modded has a blue screen instead of gray screen when turned on without a cartridge. And if I put in a cartridge it's red. But the game does appear to run fine aside from an ever present buzzing sound as opposed to the usual static. Does this mean something is wrong with this console?
Hi folks, I have another silly question about media output. I'm well aware of the mod to change the output method to AV cables, but my I'm not fully on board with modifying the console. I would personally rather go the demodulator route.
So here's my thought, my NES with RCA video and Mono sound doesn't look that great on my 65" TV, and I wouldn't expect the FC much better. I do, however, have an unused 24" VGA- capable monitor on my hobby desk. Would something like the demodulator below serve my needs reasonably well?

Much appreciated!

I have a Sharp Famicom Titler which functions but the AC adapter for it does not any longer. It’s a super weird proprietary cord with two DC outputs, 7.6V and 14V, with a third socket for ground. Has anyone ever had to repair/replace this power supply before, and if so, what did you use?
Hi guys! I bought a bunch of famicom games and a couple 64's at auction i'm just pricing them up but with them being japanese it's a little difficult for me, any help on identifying any of the fully japanese text games? thanks guys! much appreciated!
Street Heroes is an unlicensed fighting game for the Famicom and Game Boy Color, released by Sachen. Story: Far away in the Aotis continent, sword coexists with the magic. People there all have unimaginable power. So it brings up lots of warriors. Now, the best warriors - Rex, Malcolm, Roger, Big Whale, Daphe, Ned, Rock Tiger, and Dark Moon get together for a race. However, there is some scheming behind the race... This was one of the few games by Sachen to be ported from Famicom to the Game Boy Color. Although the developer remains unknown, it's possible that former Sachen programmer Ei-How Yang had a role in developing this version.
Hello
I've recently got a famicom from Japan but it came without any cable to plug it to tv.
I've found out that I can use a nes cable so what I wanted to ask if this would be good to plug it to Famicom and European nowadays antena cable?
So i wanted to get the Lolo games but the naming convention in japan is kinda weird so what's the proper order to get them in?
