Mods for settler variety?

When I first played Fallout 4 I grew tired of seeing the same faces at every settlement. Thankfully, I found the "Better Settlers" mod and injected some variety into the pool of settlers.

Do any Fallout 4 "settler variety" mods work with Fallout London?"

I need wonderland

I’m so addicted but I love it so much and I need to convince Prince Pete to sign my petition. Does anybody know where a dealer would be?

How to get Miller to sign the petition

So I've gotten all the signatories EXCEPT for Miller. When I go to talk to him, the only dialogue options I have are:

"About my petition..."

"Goodbye."

The first one just has him give a "I'll sign it when I trust you" line and ends the conversation. According to the internets, he's supposed to have given me a quest related to that dude in the bed in Saint Paul's, but he... well, didn't.

I've tried using commands to start it, "StartQuest FOLON_FQMiller101", but nothing appears to happen when I do that.

Why my Hans Pistol shoot peanuts?

I see tons of videos and post saying that hans pistol is great, probably one of the best gunslinger ralated weapons.

I do the quest, kill the ghouls, get it and deals...27 damage, with maxed reciever.

My spy pistol with gun nut 2 reciever deals the same damage, and doesn't have the 25% bonus damage legendary effect.

Is bugged somehow? On youtube i see video of people saying it deal 90+ damage without perks,

Disappearing map icons issue

Try to keep it short. Explored alot of the SE part of the map early game. Eventually did the Ferryman quest where he took me and Archie to the dock near the Monument. 'Discovered' the Monument location, but did not proceed inside. Spent many hours exporing the rest of the map getting into stuff. Decided to persue the Monument quest and when approaching it 'RE- discovered' the location...strange, but whatever. Eventually decided to go back and see the Ferryman as it was part of a quest. Decided to fast travel, but noticed ALL the map icons in the SE corner of the map were missing. I do not know when this happened! No idea. I consoled 'TMM' and fast traveled over to Thameshaven. Started rediscovering many of the SE locations on my journey. Me and Jack got heavy so decided to head to London Bridge to drop of loot. Discovered that ALL the map icons (sans the rediscovered SE part) are now gone. What to do?

Syringer?

There's ammo for it in the chemistry table, and some even uses the new enemies stuff (rad shrews) - but is the weapon actually in the game?

Please I need help with this!

Can someone please help me download it in dms? I need a very simple step by step guide, as I don't know how to downgrade the game itself and it's telling me to. I don't know how files work, I don't know how task manager or any of that works, please only dm if you're serious. I'm very bad with these things and would really like to play the game 🥲 for reference, I have downloaded fo4 GOTY on steam, just need help step by step, youtube tutorials I can't follow, need photos and such

Housing for the player in the game, a quick option for interior furnishings in Hideout.

After the release of version 1.02, the Hideout location was added as a place to live for the player. Loaded one of the saves, completed the game at 1.01 and don’t want to start over yet. I had to open the doors with the console. Cleared the interior and quickly placed some furniture and a set of workbenches inside, like for the main base. Compiled information about possible housing for the player in the game.

Settlements. There are 6 full-fledged settlements in London, where you can attract and assign settlers to work, build, grow food and extract water, create supply network routes.

  1. Biggin Hill Airport. The only settlement in the lower right corner of the map, the starting zone if you go to the Vagabonds in Swan & Mitre, the rest are on the left side. It was possible to find this place exploring the surrounding area, now it is already written in all guides. To gain control of the settlement, you need to complete the quest of the main druid Gordo; crowds of dryads can be a problem if you do not have the right weapon. In the local fields, you can steal crops and thus get seed for yourself. The site itself is quite small, there is a large puddle in which several water purifiers can be placed. All settlements in the mod have open water in one form or another, but the area varies greatly. Some guides indicate that the settlement has a cooking workbench. This is not entirely true: it does exist, but a few meters outside the player's settlement, in the druid territory. It can be used for the first time, but this spit is not connected to the player's settlement workbenches. There is also a water column nearby, outside. I regularly had a bug from vanilla with the display of resources with this settlement: crops, beds, water and electricity in the list of settlements at 0, morale drops, you move to the place - everything works, all the indicators are normal again.
  2. London Bridge. In many early reviews and walkthroughs of the mod, you could see it. If you follow the plot, you will pass by it. This settlement also requires completing the Beefy quest to gain control, you need to have the Local Leader perk or Int 8+. The settlement is problematic. Having dealt with the beefeaters, you had to immediately assign the local public to work after receiving it and immediately move it to the same settlement, otherwise the next time you visit, you could find an empty bridge without residents. Settlers could fall into the river through holes in the roadway, the game can simply spawn them under the bridge (remember the brahmin on the roofs?). The problem is partially solved by patching the holes and building a "bridge under the bridge" on which NPCs will land. The piece of the Thames under the bridge is the largest open water surface among all settlements, the water farm can generate a large amount of water daily. There is a fireplace for cooking, this is one of two settlements with one workbench initially. At the same time, cooking workbench is not connected to the settlement's workbench, which means it does not use materials in the workbench and related other settlements. It is solved either in construction mode by removing / installing again, or disassembling and building anew. You can remove it at any time, but unsetting it from the saved ones already requires the Local Leader 2 perk, as does the construction of new workbenches for crafting.
  3. Covent Garden. It is located approximately halfway between St. Paul's Cathedral, where we will need to go according to the plot, and Trafalgar Square, which the merchants can tell us about. To gain control of the settlement, you just need to clear it of hooligans, but there are a lot of them there. This is a separate location with two entrances, the main gate and the back gate, a fairly large settlement area, many ready-made rooms, there is water in the canals. For me, this was the first settlement and main base I found. As far as I know, with a large number of items in a cell, the probability of a game crash is less on a separate map than for a settlement on the main map. For a long time, I did not see radioactive storms in this settlement, I already thought that this was an analogue of Hangman's Alley, but then one day I caught a storm here, instead of "never happens" it became "very rare". There are no workbenches for crafting. Outside the settlement, not far from the main entrance, there is a drug/medicine dealer, who is also a healer. There are several traders in the Trafalgar Square neighborhood, including Ken the Junk Dealer, who has the largest selection of supplies for sale, including rare ones.
  4. Lambeth Walk. A small settlement, you need to kill a animal to control it. There is a small metal hut with a bed and an armorer's workbench. Again, the armor workbench is not connected to the settlement workbench. The neighbors are restless, hooligans. There is an exit to the alley through a hole in the wall, opposite is a jeep with a gun box on the roof. Nearby is an anti-aircraft battery Flak Emplacement. There is a Service Rifle in an open box near the entrance, inside the room is a set of Tommy uniform with a helmet, there is a stove and beds. On the other side, if you go out into the passage near the ramp with a motorcycle, there is a store on the corner nearby (Corner Shop), inside there are 3 weapon traps and a bonus bait-drink. Locations respawn.
  5. Vauxhall Grove Construction Site. The settlement is located slightly south of Lambeth Walk. There are no workbenches. A fairly large abandoned construction site that needs to be cleared of enemies. Scraping the building material deposits and construction debris will take some time, but will yield quite a lot materials. Several flies respawn in the swamp just outside the site, they can be lured under the turrets and farmed for glands. There is a caravan parking lot next to the site, a child ghoul Doctor Bunting regularly comes to it with a couple of guards, another end point of his route is the parking lot next to Chem Den.
  6. Wandsworth Tennis Museum. It is located next to Wimbledon Park Lake in the lower left corner of the map. Control after clearing the ghouls, the settlement with the largest area. As in most settlements, there are no workbenches for crafting. Under the central stand there is a settlement workbench and a large two-story space, the area is enough to accommodate workbenches, settlers, shops. On release and 1.01 on the central court and next to it there were glitchy locations, where NPCs and brahmins constantly fell under the map and teleported back, in the latest update 1.02 meshes were fixed, this bug seems to have been fixed. On the territory of the settlement you can find several strawb plants, which are grown as food, a model of it can be seen on one of the buildings without an accessible interior. These plants also grow around the territory of the settlement, but if you collect them there, they do not respawn. Just outside the territory of the settlement there is a slope with growing strawb and a ladder to the platform above. There is a caravan parking lot there, you can regularly see the arms dealer Robo-Margo Reggie Mental there, another end point of her route Wandsworth Substation. Across the road from the main entrance, on the shore of the lake there are a couple of hangars in which there are a bunch of mittenlurks eggs and a weapon workbench. If you draw a line vertically down from the middle point on the map between the lake and museum icons, there is a hidden bunker on a small ledge on the lower border of the map, it is only a couple of dozen meters from the border of the settlement. In the rooms behind a simple door to the right there is a chemical workbench, three ladybugs will attack. Behind the door, which requires the skill of hacking computers of the "master" level, the legendary Robo-Margo respawns. There is also a dead legendary Womble on the nest, the materials from it are needed for crafting. There are several points on the map with a guaranteed or almost guaranteed spawn of legendary opponents, for example, the Nunhead Cemetary location, where the legendary Womble alive.

Since most settlements do not have workbenches at all, without the Local Leader 2 perk, the benefit from them is limited, for crafting you need to look for existing workbenches and carry all the necessary materials with you, there is no such freebie as in Sanctuary Hills. However, you can set up a warehouse in your settlements, sleeping in your own bed gives you a buff to experience, you can grow plants for crafting, install a generator and a Decontamination Arch, in London you can easily catch radiation.

In addition to settlements, there are various apartments that the player can use as their own home.

  1. In patch 1.02, a house was added that is available to the player from the beginning of the game, the Hideout location. It is located near the Swan & Mitre pub, a little further south, a passage into the alley on the right, walk from the pub, there is an inscription on the wall "no graffiti". At the end of the passage, turn left, there is a spit for cooking food and a member of the Vagabonds gang nearby. Find a door to the building nearby. Inside the room there is junk and garbage, a settlement workbench is installed in the building. There is a stove for cooking and a sleeping bag right away.
  2. After completing the Charybdis quest, returning later to the market in Thameshaven, you can witness a conversation between Ferryman and the head of Thameshaven Rachel. By intervening in the conversation, you will receive the Scylla quest. After completion, you will be provided with a personal corner in the market location. This room has a settlement workbench, but with very limited functionality, an approximate analogue of the Home Base from the original F4. If you install not only furniture and decor, Local Leader 2 is again needed for workbenches. At the same time, although the location appears in the general list of settlement workbenches, you cannot organize a supply route or send settlers here. That is, this apartment is inconvenient for crafting, you need to transfer the materials yourself. Furnished with furniture and decorations, installed workbenches, a generator, made lighting and forgot, looked in a couple of times later. Can be useful as the only base for those who categorically do not want to deal with settlers.
  3. Camden Lock / Emelio's Caffe House. The key to the apartment is given by the head of Pistols Apache Alice after completing the necessary quests to join her gang. The apartment inside the cafe is furnished, has a virtually complete set of workbenches for crafting, including an ammunition one. It lacks a table for brewing tea, but there is one in the floating cafe on the shore nearby.
  4. Lock Penthouse. Also located in the Camden area not very far from the previous apartment in the cafe. To get it, you must during the What's In A Name quest to join Pistols, you need to switch sides and help Malcolm Rhodes instead of John Strutter. You need to meet Malcolm in Westminster, but I completed this quest with a difficult luck check, not having access yet, I had to open the lock with a console. Another furnished apartment with a set of basic workbenches. In the locked closet is an old Rhodes jacket with a bonus to charisma.
  5. Delinquent Hideout. The character first gets to Westminster during the Lay of the Land quest, a parliament guard asks for help in clearing one house of squatters from the Cavaliers gang. I skipped this step by checking stats. As far as I understand, after completing this quest, at some random moment on the street, a messenger can approach the character and ask, starting the Becoming Respectable quest. After completing the quest, you become the owner of "elite real estate" in Westminster, which inside looks more like a homeless shelter. This quest didn't start for me at all. I don't know if skipping the cleanup at the very beginning had an effect, or if I accidentally bought a quest head from a street vendor and forgot about it, completely breaking the triggers. In general, when exploring locations, if you come across an unusual and potentially unique quest item, don't touch it unless you're sure you really need it. In many places, the trigger for advancing the quest is taking the item, if you already have it in your inventory, only the console will help.
  6. Lanthorn Tower. Mentioned in some guides as a settlement/apartment available to the player. At the same time, with the vague wording "you gain access during the story for Camelot." I didn't see any other details, I finished the game for all three factions myself. In the Camelot branch, you need to capture the Tower of London and it will become their operational base in the city center, but no one mentioned Lanthorn Tower. I suspect the authors simply opened the door with the console. The location is a rather small room, the personal home of the Beefeater leader. Decorated with severed heads, skulls, etc.
  7. Greenwich DLR Monorail (updated). At the very beginning of the game, if you agree to follow the Vagabonds, there will be a stop at a temporary camp near Greenwich Station, where they will send you for a first aid kit. If you go around the station, you will find a lift platform behind it, the cradle itself is raised to the upper level, the end of a destroyed monorail car sticks out of the station building above you. A cable runs from the lift to one of the cabins of personal shelters, which is locked with a key. The button to call the lift is hidden inside. If you side with Mr. Black during Part 2 of the gang war and agree to help the Syndicate destroy the Vagabonds gang, after the "Black" quest you will receive the "Clearing House" mission. In the first safehouse you will find the Preservation Shelter Key, it will allow you to call the lift cradle and go up to the Greenwich DLR Monorail, which is the second Vagabonds safehouse. After the war is over and the Vagabonds are destroyed, you can use it as your home, there are all the basic workbenches here. If you choose the Vagabonds side or agree on a truce, then you can get here only using console commands.

[Bug?] Quest "Mad Jack Unchained" Triggering Prematurely

Hey all, I ran into something odd with the quest "Mad Jack Unchained." I went to the Pilgrim to complete the quest,>! fought!< Mad Jack, and managed to>! recruit him afterward!<. But then, when I tried talking to him, I could only >!interact with him like a regular companion—!<no new unique dialogue or quest updates.

Did some online digging (trying not to spoil too much for myself) and found out this is actually supposed to be a >!companion quest specifically for him!<. The weird thing is, I seem to have obtained this quest before I even met him. I don’t exactly remember how I got it, but I think it might’ve been from a terminal somewhere?

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this a bug, or did I miss something along the way? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Is the Ferryman's Friend based on a real gun?

I'd like to know if the ferryman's friend is based on a real weapon, even if its a kit bash of multiple or a heavily modified version of a real gun it'd be nice to know as I'm trying to name all my weapons after the real life counterparts. (e.g. the chinese pistol being a Mauser and the service rifle being a Garand)

The most I could find was a model where it used to be called the argument gun

Food for Thought Quest Stuck

I can't seem to progress the "Food For Thought" quest. the objective says "talk to the factory boss" but.. well.. before i ever knew of this quest i met him, and hated him immediately, so i killed him. so when i go to the marker it was his corpse. i tried resurrecting him but he wont actually speak to me.

how would i find the quest stages to skip past this bit? or is there another solution that doesn't involve me like.. going back several hours of gameplay and unkilling him?
