Is the full release on xbox? I have the standalone pack but I don’t know how to/if I can go to London. Amy help or answers would be appreciated. I play on a new-gen console if that makes any difference.
There's an aspect to the game design I don't understand, and perhaps someone else can shed some light on.
There are walls everywhere. Actual walls, walls made of buildings, walls made of rock. If you think you've found a way to jump over a wall, there will be invisible walls. Rarely can you run more than 50 feet in any direction without hitting a wall. The end result of this is that it is highly difficult to get from anywhere to anywhere, as there will always be a wall in the way.
You've got a quest marker to the north, but you can't go north, because there's a wall. And you try running along the wall to the east or west looking for a way through, but there isn't one, just more walls. I think I've probably spent 50% of my time in this game trying to figure out how to get to some place where there are walls in the way.
At one point in the game, I was supposed to choose between 3 factions. I tried choosing one of them, but I just couldn't figure out how to get past the wall to get to them. So I gave up and joined a different faction. At another point, after spending an hour running all around trying to get past the walls, including doing google searches and attempting to follow a screenshot that supposedly pointed the way there, I just gave up and turning off clipping so I could run through the wall.
The map basically never helps, as it either doesn't show the walls, or doesn't show the way through.
Is there some reason that I'm not seeing as to why every area must be walled off from every other area with only one often difficult to find way through?
Cursed Steam forced my FO4 to update so I had to redowngrade, anyone have any fixes? Not a huge issue but i hurts the vibe and FOLON has some genuinely lovely ambient music.
The Radio works tho, and aside from battle music I think nothing plays in its place.
Peculiarly the menu music is still ok tho hahaha
Musix fixed music thanks to Support tab on Discord > Google Doc > FOLON_ResetMusic but still no menu images/music/screen video. I'll check the doc for that later tho just glad the game itself is sounding good again :))
Hi everybody, I’m starting a new channel and series and my inaggurial adventure will be FOLON. I tired to give the mod a test run on survival and was destroyed so I decide to tone is down for the series. Generally, I was just hoping to see if the community has any notes on things that must be seen or perhaps even overlooked things that I want to make sure to include.
I would appreciate any suggestions and advice to make the playthrough as fun and entertaining as possible. Thanks yall !
Is it just me or is this quest overly complicated?
Hidden hints in the terminals, ambigious quest markers, unclear objectives?
I got to the radiated pool, but then gave up and instead found a previous load.
I'm not inherently against a bit of mental gymnastics and solving puzzles, but it isn't particularly fallout-ish - I was smart at work all day, but now I want to drink some beers and shoot people.
I got the airport settlement. Itnis my only one. I made generators and connected lights. It is still prompting me to created and connect something that uses electricity.
My beacon has attracted several people but the count is 2. I assign people to crops but it doesn't take. My inventory isn't filling up with produce.
Is there some way to kick the progress forward?
Im trying to make adhesive at the cooking station. I have all the ingredients but cant find potatoes anywhere.
So I just started playing the mod, tried to when it came out but couldn’t get it to work. Decided to head to the Thames immediately but once I get to the market everyone starts attacking me? I’m pretty sure it triggers every time I get near one of the dog things. There was a creature earlier called Sushi that I thought was an enemy but for some reason couldn’t kill. Did me attacking Sushi break my game? Is there an easy fix for this or am I gonna need to restart my play through?
So I slightly shot myself in the foot >!manually waiting about a week at the Swan so Syd could wrap up his writing!<. Now the problem I've run into is that the overworld has basically reset and I now need to claw my way though areas I extensively cleaned out in terms of both hostiles and loot. It's a huge exploration killer when I spend a good while making sure the area is safe to go through, only for the hostiles to just be there like nothing ever happened and I feel my resources have been wasted. I think the worst case I've ran into is fast traveling and being immediately put down by enemies before I even had control of my character post loading and this also means that the area resets, causing any stored loot for later to despawn. I now also have three Swan heads in my Hideout's inventory due to them just spawning outside the pub after so many days and it just robs everything from feeling unique.
I am stuck on the end of the quest where you have to give pete the sober. But that objective of the quest never goes away. Ill hear pete give his speech followed by them saying the millers are here. But nothing happens past that point. I have tried searching google and even asking chat gpt and got nothing thats worked to force the quest complete so i can move on. I did find another reddit post however mentioning how to force start the next quest lost and won. But when i started that with commands the choose life quest didnt go away and i couldn't talk to who it was asking me to talk to about something. And never got past that part. Please someone tell me they have some useful commands for me!
I cannot believe after all this time you still have to downgrade the frigging game for this mod. I should be able to run a modern current mod on the most recent version of FO4
And don't hand me that bs crap about most mods not supporting the latest version of FO4. That's absolute bs. I know because I currently have about 100 mods right now.
I want to play the mod, but I'm not fn downgrading for it, nor should I have to. Usually mod authors release their mod FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF THE GAME.
As title,
I've been waiting a bit til i try out the mod as all packs generally have fixes added over time.
So my question, is this a good time to jump in or should i wait until later. Unsure what's planned in the pipeline.
I just started playing the other day and I'm having a good time so far, but I screwed up picking the starting perks at character creation. I picked Chem Head and then tried to back up, not realizing that it would just exit the menu entirely.
I wasn't ready to tweak my character's face ALL OVER AGAIN and decided to just suck it up and keep going.
BUT if I wanna change this later, is there a console command to remove the Chem Head perk, and potentially a command to get the menu for those particular perks to come up again? If not that's cool, just wondering.
On my second playthrough, wanted to know what settlement had at least a weapons workbench. On seonf playthrough and don't want to invest into charisma again. Help appreciated thanks
I saw posts about bugged perks but the creators of the game were aware of it and going to fix in a patch. Those are mostly like 4 months ago. Before I start playing was wondering if they were fixed without console commands or mods yet and if so, any other major perk buys I should still watch out for?
I had one, found another, sent the first one to a settlement. First one just stayed there.
Second one disappeared. Went to first one and joined him. Sent the second one to a settlement. Never showed up.
How can I find lost companions? Reload save, fast travel, restart game - no luck.
When I use the launcher to change to borderless window, then launch through GOG, the window simply doesn't open. I can hear the loading sequence, cutscene, main menu music, etc, but there's simply no window to play the game in. Never had this issue with Fallout 4 only with Folon. Help greatly appreciated.
Having just finished my first playthrough, with 16 days total play time, and being very much a completionist at heart, I *think* I got the "best" ending, but having now watched a bunch of other peoples recordings of the epilogues (because I had almost no audio on mine as it was 3am), I'm now curious as to the actual possible variations.
Below is obviously VERY spoiler heavy, so don't click it below if you don't want everything spoiling
The epilogue variations I've found so far
!- Faction (Camelot/Gentry/5th Column) specific bits, which also impact pistols, tommie's, millers and gentry. Brickton too, but I suspect that being there at all is quest dependant. !<
!- Smyth alive/dead/peaceful handover/imprisoned (2 variants of imprisoned)!<
!- Kiera/Archie/Arthur all seem to have different endings if you max affinity / finish their quests (possibly Jack too, but I've only seen 1 Jack ending)!<
!- Vagabonds is different depending on Gaunt being dead / alive and/or peace with the syndicate!<
!- The mention of Croyden and Brickton in the epilogue (Brickton has 2 depending on faction).!<
!I thought I got a different Thamesfolk ending to the ones I've found online (where the Thamesfolk flee London) but I'm not sure as I couldn't hear it well. !<
Any others I've missed?
He was the second buddy I picked up after Archie, and I traded up for someone who could actually fight. I held onto Arthur for the longest time, because I just didn't come across anyone else I could recruit, and while I liked Arthur enough I didn't find him very interesting. This changed as he finally, finally opened up about his personal issues, and acivated his personal quest.
I won't spoil it, but I will say it's very emotionally gripping, and well worth playing out. I'm genuinely impressed by the writing.
Since the latest Windows update, I’ve been unable to successfully start the game. I get past the open credits and the game starts to load, then it crashes and closes.
The only changes in my system has been Windows and game updates.
i've been trying to figure this out for days now. not sure whether i should be using mo2 or vortex, having trouble with both. also i used heroic launcher and the automated folon installer if that matters. any help is greatly appreciated.
I have over 100 hours in Fallout 4 and I don't recall getting motion sick at all, but for some reason I can hardly play this game at all without feeling like crap. I've turned the FOV up and try and play in 3rd person most of the time.
Any ideas why this is? Any tips?
I’ve seen it spoken off on the loading screens, but I’ve never seen it. Is it able to be found?
Is it as glorious as I imagined?
