idk who made it private but i made it public again cause why not lol
I'm generally an anarchist, but I feel certain things could be controlled by an overarching union of communes. For example, currently US States are outbidding each other for hospital supplies leaving some with none. Such supplies would be infeasible to efficiently produce at a local level for each commune. I feel in this case something overarching would have to chime in and distribute socialistically.
I feel like an income tax would be a really bad way to levy taxes in a socialist state. Labor is entitled to all it creates, so to take someone's income would feel a little antithetical to it.
I feel like a Land Tax, not Land Value Tax, would be a good way to levy taxes. As much as it sucks, Capitalists and Private Property will exist in a transitional stage and we need to disincentive that as much as possible. If you are a Capitalist, then an aggressive land tax would be a good way to undercut their grip on society.
But that's what I think. I tried to find out how taxation worked in the USSR and found nothing all too useful on the subject.
