UK SJT practice test

Hey everyone,

Is anyone else unable to find the UK SJT practice tests? I was able to see them on their website a couple weeks ago but they seem to have disappeared for me. Does anyone know where I can view them? Thanks!

2022-2023 FMProC Information

The FMProC (Family Medicine Professional Choices) is a 60-minute online Situational Judgement Test used by 13 family medicine programs across Canada in the CaRMS 2023 R-1 match – it was first used in last year's CaRMS cycle. Applicants will be presented with 25-30 scenarios following which you will be asked to rate or rank the desirability of a series of options in response to the scenario.

The Family Medicine programs requiring this test for the 2022-2023 CaRMS Match Cycle are:

 University of Calgary
 University of Alberta
 University of Montreal
 University of Ottawa
 McMaster University
 Queen’s University
 Western University
 Dalhousie University
 Northern Ontario School of Medicine
 University of Toronto
 Memorial University of Newfoundland
 University of British Columbia
 University of Saskatchewan

Registration has closed for the 2022-2023 cycle – applicants who have registered have a 60-minute test window until 8AM EST December 15, 2022 to write your FMProC. You should have received your FMProC assessment link to your email.

There are two types of questions on the FMProC: Rating Questions and Ranking Questions

  • Rating Questions: You will be asked to independently rate each of the 4-8 response options on a 5-point scale (e.g.,between ‘very appropriate’ and ‘inappropriate’), in order of their appropriateness or importance, in responding to the situation.
  • Ranking: You will be asked to rank the 5 response options presented in order of their appropriateness or importance in response to the situation.

They list numerous requirements 3 times in the test which are below:

  • You must be alone in a room with windows and doors closed.
  • All other applications on your computer must be closed.
  • All other tabs on your web-browser must be closed
  • All other electronic devices in the room must be turned off, including cell-phones.
  • All books, notes and papers must be put away.
  • No writing on paper.
  • Make sure you are in an area with a clear background with no visible pictures, posters or framed items.
