I’m trying to debate if I should buy this care for $8900? Is the mileage too high?
Found a set of wheels 17x9, -12 offset Would these fit a stock FJ ? They don’t come with tires but open to suggestions on sizing on those too. The wheels are Falcon T2’s if it matters.
Hi guys I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to keep track of the resell value of the FJ? My mom has one and she’s trying to sell it and I’ve been telling her to hold on to it for a while now in hopes the prices will go up. But idk guys I have no idea what we should do I’ve met people who say we should hold it then other people say we should sell it. It’s Green 2014, original radio, original tire cover (unsure if that’s important) with around 100k miles, new alternator, new headlight(like had to replace the entire part), new battery, bad tires, paint is chipped on the front hood (hoping I can just fix that). So sorry if this is the wrong page.
Not having a roof rack made this a lot easier to clean off, around 3'. Drove out just off idle in 4lo and locker on,
I have a weird vibration when the body begins to roll past 15 degrees and under braking and does NOT get worse at speed
After about 100k between a 2007 manual and 2007 auto fjc, I think this is the best avg mpg I can get with normal driving (under 80 but over 70). About 70 percent highway and 30 city. Fjc is at 2001xx miles. Oil and spark plugs changed on regular intervals, regular octane, California driving. Alignment done maybe every 2 years? Never rotated tires 😬. 3 inch lift and steel bumpers front and rear. About to finish the life on wild peaks at3 (35psi) and probably will get at4s next.
Hey everyone, my dream car is and fj and recently a dealership listed one at 27k cad (19k usd) with just under 80k miles. I’m 20 and make a decent wage for Canada and my area at 50/hr with overtime and weekends paying double time just want some advice and too see if I should finance it thanks!
Hi, I just moved to Ontario and saved up my first 12k. I want a second hand fj, Lexus gx or 4Runner around 12k. I live in Ottawa. Please dm me if interested
I did a quick plastidip job on my stock rims. Did the front grill and will probably do the white top too cuz why not…
Hey Guys,
Car broke, looking at FJs. they are cool and cheaper then 4 runners. What do i need to look out for any model years or specific issues? Found a 07 150k miles for 16,500. Decent price?
They come with a different suspension, right?
Realized the check tire pressure light only turns off once you top off the spare too 😂 I feel like I have a brand new vehicle now with no check your shit lights on lol guess I just keep driving it now.
My FJ has 126,000 miles on it, no issues really ever. Dealership pointed out some potential leakage that they believe is due to my Timing Cover needing to be re-sealed. They are quoting me nearly $8,000 for this and it seems like an insane cost, even with the alleged need to remove the engine. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Is that a fair quote?
I’m interested in getting an FJ, but I don’t know anything about them, common failures, trims and what not, I have no problem with driving an older car, but what should I look out for. I’m a technician so I can do any work myself, but how long do these last? It’s an old Toyota so I’m guessing a while.
Hello FJ experts! This happened today and hopefully someone knows a part # or where to find a replacement piece? 😭
Twins for the win... I wonder what the other FJ owner thought when they came out of the store 🤔
Found this 2014 FJ located in AZ for just under $40k. While the price is… up there, trucks with 100k more miles are still in the mid to upper 20s. For a summer vehicle that will never see bad weather, is it worth it to start with as close to “new” as we can get? Seems like cheap depreciation if I were to put some mileage on it. What type of concerns would you have on a 10 year old, one owner vehicle that has been relatively unused?
praying to god that someone has experienced this and knows how to fix it. i have a 2014 FJ cruiser and it has a stock toyota radio that does bluetooth. when its working fine, it displays the name of the song as they play. but, sometimes the music starts to stop and start, speed up and slow down. when it starts skipping, the radio then displays STREAMING AUDIO. when its doing this, it will skip until i turn my phone on and leave it open for a while but even then it starts again.
here's some solutions i've tried so far but none of them so far have fixed it:
i don't understand why it does this... i thought maybe it's cause i got a new iphone but it did this with my old phone as well. i just want my music to play well and not skip around like crazy 😭
I’m based out of Montana and looking for more people interested in possibly going on some trips and trails. Could be used for anything from insight on wrenching on your rig or just straight up sharing your experience. I’d like to get something going here so let me know
Hey Everyone,
I'm getting a 120,000 mile check up done on my 2009 with a new mechanic and wanted to check if what I got quoted was accurate in your opinions. I got quoted some simple stuff that I can do myself, but some of the other things I was wondering if it was worth going through the mechanic for. They aren't a Toyota dealer, but are our local specialist in town.
I'm relatively handy and change my own oil / filters etc but generally nothing beyond that. If you feel some of this might be simple to DIY I'd love to hear more.
