I heard that BN stopped updating the game but recently it received Rollback. Is there anyone on the Online mode yet ? It's still worthy ?
I left fighters due to the massive toxicity. But i still wanna talk fighting games. But usually my takes are somehow taken badly on that sub cause I play characters they dont like. Hope this community is better.

Hello I always played random fighting games at friends houses or arcades.
I want to really get into it what fighting game should I buy ? I own a ps5 and a switch
I’m open to any type of fighting game
Newest street fighter ?
Dbz?
Smash ?
Or any other games that I might have not heard of or know
Thank you!
I understood the argument that 2D fighters were easier than 3D fighters. I'm old. First real fighter was SF 2 and played that in the arcade a lot when I was a kid. Then Tekken and VF came out and started to play them, but didn't really get into them until I got a PS1 and played the hell out of Tekken and Soul Blade. I always played SF, Dark Stalkers, Fatal Fury, etc. However, I was always better at the 3D fighters than I was at the 2D fighters. I mean I get smoked online in SF 6 and Guilty Gear. I get smoked on Tekken too, but at least I have a winning percentage on that game.
Does anyone else have this experience? I just get tired of hearing that 2D fighters are not as difficult than 3D.
What’s everyone’s personal opinion on the things you should do when picking up and learning a new character(s) in a fighting game? I personally find my BNBs with my character(s), drilled them to my muscle memory, then get online to get experience. Then it’s a cycle of playing matches, taking mental notes from matches, hit the lab, and then play more matches to apply what I figured out from the lab.

So bascially this question I want to get a IST Mall crystal D type hitbox layout custom made with art. I talked to someone on the site and basically told them what I wanted I even show them a picture as reference and he's saying draw a layout and show him. I don't understand what he means I showed the type but yeah any help suggestions would be appreciated
I did not know what to title the title. BUT ANYWHO!!!
I enjoy fighting games to an extent, but I want to complain about this and hopefully get recommended some games.
I don’t enjoy when I’m online and whether I win/lose, the win animation/taunt in between rounds is skipped. I need to like regroup myself. Whether my animation or their animation is skipped, it turns me off completely and I end up leaving after the first match instead of the whole “first to two”. It sucks that I can’t enjoy guilty gear strive online.
Anywho, is there any fighting games that don’t do this? That allow time to breathe? I know mortal kombat and injustice doesn’t allow the win animations to be skipped. Any more games I can get into?
I was just wondering if there was anywhere around Luray that has an active fgc scene I lived in VA my whole life and idk if I've ever heard of one so if someone could help me out that would be very appreciative.
Hey everyone!
I’m conducting an academic study on harassment in the Guilty Gear community (other FGC communities are also good), with a focus on issues related to gender and/or sexuality, and comparing these experiences to those in other popular competitive games (like League of Legends, Overwatch, Counter-Strike, etc.). Your insights are incredibly valuable to understanding how harassment impacts players across different gaming communities.
This survey is completely anonymous and includes questions about your background in gaming and any experiences you may have had with gender/sexuality-based harassment. Your responses are solely for research purposes and will contribute to a broader understanding of community dynamics in fighting games versus other competitive genres.
If you’re interested in helping with this research, please take a few minutes to complete the form linked below. Thank you so much for your time and perspective!
Note: This survey includes sensitive questions about harassment, so please proceed with that in mind.
Hey guy I just joined the subreddit and I’ve been trying to find a solution for my connection issues, I’m in Saudi Arabia and every time I try to connect to a player in tekken 8 it says “connection quality did not meet selected conditions” I tried everything from a vpn to changing router settings And the same thing in street fighter 6 I can’t connect to a match. Dose anyone have a solution?
I might have to quit fighting games because of a combination of hand pain and a 1/2 reaction time. I am 17, I shouldn't feel like this yet. I should be in my prime but every week my reaction time drops more and my hand pain rises. I cant even by a hitbox to deal with the hand pain because my parents wont let me spend more then 100 dollars on anything. I am so sad to be having to leave the community, it has been a good ride, but unfortunately it ended too soon.
Hi Guys,
I have a problem. I can't run an ethernet cable down to my PS5. My PC is set up, and I installed an ethernet port on the wall behind the PS5 before realizing there's so much fireproofing in my way that I can't connect it.
My options are to use my powerlime adapter that gets 50mbps with ok upload or use my WiFi that gets 200mbps with trash upload.
Generally, I play wired and play on PC, but I have some games on console for playing with friends.
Which option would you suggest I go with? I can't quite feel the difference. /if anyone has ideas for getting a cable through that fireproofing as a rented, i'll give you a high five

I'd personally go with MK11.
For me it has to be guilty gear and tekken the combos looks so cool in those games and I love the character design (less so in tekken) but whenever I try playing these games it feels like I’m given a quiz in a different language without any hint on how to decode it
Been a long time since I played Street Fighter until I discovered a local bar restaurant that has an actual cabinet from the 90s with all the damage that entails its long existence of use. Almost every other fighting game only uses 2 different levels for kicks and punches so I'm pretty used to using specials at other slow or fast speeds with the weak or strong damage that accompanies it. So I had a bit of difficulty adjusting to 6 buttons and not mistaking the medium other for slow/weak and strong/fast. It threw a lot of my special attacks off especially fireballs. But it does make me ask regarding special moves is there any point to using the medium version? I just don't see how at midlevel its advantageous when light and fierce variations gets more things done at the extreme. In particular when shooting projectiles (especially during exchange of range attacks). So for example what use would doing a Flash Kick at M or using Blanka's M Rolling ball attack have over the jab/light kicks and fierce versions? Do people actually use the Medium Hadoken and other character's range equivalent? How would Sagat's Middle Button Tiger shots be effective at all (and same with other range attacks of various characters? Furthermore this question more important than just Street Fighter. Almost all Capcom fighting games use the 6 button layout as seen with Darkstalkers and Marvel VS Capcom so I really am actually taking this question seriously.

Does anyone know how to play Jackie Chan Fist Of Fire with a friend (not couchplay) also if you dont know the game its really fun
I bought Skullgirls 2nd Encore some time ago when it was on sale and it is my first "serious" fighting game (I'm saying serious because it's the first fighting game I ever had) And I have some "concerns" about this.
First of all, the community, I always see these tik toks about rage compilations of games and huge combos, and the vast majority come from fighting games and it scares me, like I'm trying to learn this game and then I am on two situations, or I gonna get shouted cuz I'm bad in VC and my moral would get destroyed, or my opponent would suddenly pull out a zero to death combo and brutally humiliate me.
Second of all, I never played with a controller before, but playing with a keyboard is just the biggest torture for my fingers. What can I do? I tried lots and lots of times with the tutorial (and they say Skullgirls has the best tutorial of all fighting games) but I just get stuck with the "combo" section due to the fast pace of the game. And all the motions in a controller's joystick are hard to perform for me :/ (specially the Z motion)
I really want to play and enjoy this type of games cuz I really like the art, lore and characters, but sometimes it's just too much for my clumsy fingers and slow mind. Do you guys have some tips for me? Thanks in advance for all your kind advice :3
