My league doesn't want to move away from nfl.com. Don't know why, they just don't.

We currently have a 6-team playoff format but next year I am going to suggest a 7-team playoff format with 7th place being the team with highest points for.

However, nfl.com doesn't offer this playoff format but I have read in other posts that I could just set it to 8-team playoff and "make" the 8th seed lose.

So my question for you nfl.com commishes...

• Can you manually set the playoff seeding?
• Assuming I can set up the playoff seeds, what would be the best way to make the 8th seed lose such that the 1st seed gets a bye? We do a draft lottery and so any team eliminated from the playoffs is instructed not to add or drop any players.

This would be so much easier if I could convince my league to switch platforms...but here we are.

I am the commish of my fantasy football league, and I want to create an end-of-season report that I can distribute to my league, and I want to know if there is anything else I can add and/or take out of what I already have. I am pulling all of this data directly from ESPN via their api.

• In the top of the report, I give the season records (highest scoring week, highest margin of victory, lowest margin of victory)
• Then I have a league trends section where I have the average score each week

Then I have a breakdown for each team, where it reports:

• Record
• Total Points Scored
• Average Points Scored
• Scoring Volatility
• Lineup Efficiency
• How many weeks were you perfect
• Points left on bench
• A positional scoring breakdown for your starters (average, high, and low for each position)
• Longest Win Streak
• Longest Losing Streak
• WWWLWWW type thing
• Expected Wins
• "Luck Factor" (based upon the expected points in a game)
• Record in close games (+/- 5 points)
• Avergae points against
• Weekly Efficiency breakdown

I, surprisingly, have not had much drama YET this season, lol. Im in 1 league that has had NO activity whatsoever besides waivers processed and add/drops..other than that, complete silence. I told the C of that league that this is my last season with them and he said yeah i think everyone in here is done lol. As far as my Family league, thats been going pretty good too! I always have ALOT more interaction in that league and alot more fun also. The last league im C in (work league) is also really quiet. Couple of weird trades but nothin to crazy to start vetoing over lol. Hows about youse out there?? Whats the drama youve come across so far?

So we just switched to super flex this season. Everyone was worried about QB hoarding so we made it a max 3 QBs rostered.

Recently Taysom Hill has been killing it but he is labeled QB,TE on yahoo so due to the 3 qb rostered rule you can't roster him unless you only have 2 QBs.

A guy asked me how he counted and I responded that due to the 3qb rule that Hill counted as a QB because yahoo doesn't let you add him if you had 3 QBs (this guy had 3 QBS). I even stated I wanted to add him but couldnt because I needed my backup QB.

Well here comes this week where both my QBs have had bye weeks and so I add Taysom as my TE and he messages me pissed off.

for me it's a simple situation of he misinterpreted the rule to think he could only start 2 QBS. No one has ever said you can only start 2 qbs but besides Hill no other QB even has a different designation. I am a fair person I've commissioned this league for over a decade and never once even thought of cheating.

So I ask do you guys think I deceived him or is it his own fault for not clarifying a rule that 9 other league members understood?

I’d like to make it so commissioner is required to manually process a trade for it to go through, so that I can process all trades on Tuesday. Currently I only see that 3 days is the max and it will auto process in 3 days.

Anyone else been having consistent problems with many of your messages not appearing under My Messages in Sleeper?
I have been contacting Sleeper for months and they don't respond. I have like a dozen unread messages that I can't see!

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that on sleeper that the MAX PF is wrong with teams that have taysom hill… I contracted them about the problem and I get no response..I guess the only way to get this fixed is to add up all the weeks manually…I’m also assuming that sleeper will NOT fix this problem

Any way to see how things would have landed for a season without screwing up the standings irreparably? I imagine the only way would be to go throw and tally it up manually.

It was only an 8 team league and it didnt change much. I went from last to 7th, lol. I had a great team on paper to start the year but w the duo of stroud and kyler for the majority of the season, along w breece hall, MHJ, etc. just had too much up and down to have a strong team. Ill probably miss playoffs for the first team probably since i started this league but oh well. Shit happens.

Quite the dilemma..

I have a league with my local friends where two teams have been very much slacking in setting their lineups. For the past 4-6 weeks I have had to text multiple times to get them to set their lineups. Sometimes they fix it, other times ‘they forget’. It has already affected many games unfortunately. I finally gave up on texting and they both had 4 people on a bye this week, never fixed it. They have been in the league for years and never had an issue with this.

The problem is with playoffs. Both of them might make the playoffs.. one guy below them has been trying every week and most likely will not make it. One guy above, could also miss. Not only the odds of them both making the playoffs is huge, one of those teams won $50 in our knockout in season challenge. (Don’t score the least amount of points, last man standing wins). They won that fair and square whether they set their lineup or not, is what it is. BUT, the two teams that are forgetting to set their lineups, play each other this week which is our rivalry week (they are siblings) and the winner gets $25…

I think it’s unfair and upsetting that there’s a chance they both make the playoffs, both winning money already, and have a chance to win the whole thing without really attempting anything for two months. My suggestion is this: eliminate them from the playoffs and give the other two in contention the playoff spot. Both teams can keep their money for what they earned and could earn this week but they cannot advance into the playoffs. They also will not be asked to play again next season.

I’ve spoke with some players privately (from the other division who wouldn’t be affected by this) and they agree this is the right move. I am so annoyed by this and it’s been stressful tbh. Really could use some advice and input. Thanks.

Expanded this year from 12 to 14. Round robin gets us through week 13, playoffs start week 15. To keep things even, decided to do an "all play" for week 14 where the top 7 get wins and bottom 7 get losses. Obviously a lot of byes week 14, feels like it's perhaps not the best week to have an all play. Any suggestions on how to do it next year? Keep as is and people with byes can suck it up or move to week 1 or middle of the season?

we’re on espn, will espn just let him do that or will it force him to drop someone? or is it perfectly legal to have brooks in ir when he’s playing. i’m assuming he just doesn’t want to drop anyone.

12 man PPR redraft. Just had a guy offer McCaffrey for $50. The guy who made the offer is not making the playoffs so he’s trying to dump him for actual money. Thoughts?

I plan to eliminate divisions to have just one division in our 10-team Keeper league. This year has highlighted how bad divisions can truly be. That being said, scheduling becomes less straight-forward.

I'm big on valuing merit (as much as is possible in Fantasy), so my plan for our 14-week regular season is one week for Rivalry Week and nine weeks for round robin. This leaves a four week period to handle.

I thought incorporating a Swiss tournament format would be unique and meritocratic. For those unfamiliar, it would basically be flex scheduling based on records or PF or something else so that teams are matched up with other teams of a similar caliber.

I like this idea a lot, but I'm curious what r/FFCommish thinks!

So I’m 2-10 and am possibly taking last in my league. It’s been bad. Just accepted a trade that was lamb for both Swift and Ridley. I hated giving up lamb, but without dak he isn’t quite the same player. My flex has been nothing but shit these past couple weeks, and I liked swift. Ridley also past couple weeks has been solid. Either way, guy who got lamb is a contender, so naturally league erupted. Only issue for them is I’m the commish, so they can’t veto it. Threatening to quit the league and everything. Don’t know how to quite handle it. Anyone deal with anything similar, and how to handle it?

Edit: big reason I made the trade is we have a last punishment, where loser takes the SAT. That’s why trade was made mainly, a last chance prayer. League is redraft full ppr.

Hypothetical situation: Trade deadline is after Week 14 (end of regular season). It’s week 14. Team A is win and in playoffs. Team B makes playoffs with a win and a Team A loss. Team A is playing against Team C, who is eliminated from contention and safe from last place. Team B trades Team C an RB1 for basically nothing in order to help Team C beat Team A. Fair game? Or collusion?

Title - league is mostly people new to fantasy that are not heavily invested in it

I have a commishy question for ya.

Specific example - elimination week. #2 seed vs #7 seed. #7 offers #7 gets 25 3rd (team #2) #2 gets 25 2nd (team #3) #2 agrees to sit top 3 expected scorers in this week's match up between #2 & #7

Is this collusion & should this trade ve allowed?

I've played (1) no, not collusion, and (2) yes it's allowed. Imo both teams have a give and take, and all consequences to the trade are included in the universe of the league.

What do you all think?

EDIT - something I haven't seen considered in the comments so far is that there is both a "give" and a "take" by both teams. The #2 seed "gives" up some likelihood they'll win that week, which could also mean a lower playoff seed / missed bye week, etc, and "takes" the better player overall. The #7 seed "gives" the best overall player up and "gets" a better chance to win this week, which means a greater chance to get in the playoffs. If a team favored in a particular matchup trades their opponent to get a player on BYE and sends over a lesser valued player who's not on BYE, to me that's basically the same thing.

If a team is willing to give up a spot or two in rankings/playoff seedlings, thus making his playoff route more difficult, I don't see that as any different than tanking, where a team is agreeing to lose by playing a suboptimal roster to move up for an extra DP / more valuable player.

Hey all, I have a question on how you would improve the following league setup. I don't want to add any other context. You can say to leave it alone, or suggest changes. Always looking to ensure I am putting out the best experience for all involved.

12 Team, PPR

QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, K, DST - 5 bench spots / 2 IR

That's 13 roster spots, 156 rostered "players" (including D and K).
The only adjustment we made was that QB passing TDs are 6 pts. Everything else is pretty much just default PPR Sleeper. It's been like this for years without much adjustment.

I’m starting a new Dynasty/keeper league next season and was wondering what rules you wish you had at the beginning of yours to save yourself from headaches and problems. And what are some cool ideas you all have implemented in y’all’s leagues? I saw one that I really like about every year the winner gets to choose a new rule (I.e have to start a rookie outside of QB/K).

How many of you play Superflex and could share some point setting ideas your leagues use.
Our 100 member league is going to change to a 2QB league.
(10 teams X 10 Divisions). I’m changing over our 8 starter / 1QB / 3Flex league, to a 10 starter / 2QB / 5Flex league.

I know some leagues don't like kickers because it's anti-scoring. You're rooting for an offense to do well but not great, resulting in a field goal.

Here's an idea I had: PATs are worth 2 points for kickers and regular field goals are worth 1. 50+ yard field goals will be worth 3.

This would reward kickers on good offenses, not eliminate field goals completely and reward lomg kicks for good kickers.

Thoughts?

One team in my league has been holding Adam Thielen in his IR spot for weeks...including this week, when Thielen was active and played vs. the Chiefs. As commissioner, I feel there are three ways to approach this:

1. Issue a warning for the league that similar acts of roster hoarding will be penalized in the future (either by option 2 or 3 below)

2. Deduct the 7.2 half-PPR points Thielen scored from the team's total. While Thielen wasn't in the owner's lineup, at active player being held in the IR slot is, by definition, illegal.

3. Drop Thielen from the team's roster.

Now, I don't believe the act was done intentionally; the team is near the bottom of the standings and has been among the least active in the league overall (he's started players out or on a bye more than once). But I also need to do something. What do you recommend?

So in our keeper league you can make 2 trades each year where you can acquire draft picks for next year.

I hate trading picks in general because the last two years it was used as a “my team sucks let me trade my best players for lower value picks next year”.

Anyway one guy acquired an extra 2 and 3 this year by trading off his team last year and then at the trade deadline this year he vultured the 1 (Garret Wilson) and 5 (Jalen Hurts) for next year’s 3rd rd. So for this year one guy essentially got two 1s, two 2s, two 3s, and two 5s along with all the rest of his draft picks.

I’ve complained about this but am told this is normal. Is this normal for keeper leagues with draft pick trades? Any way to limit creating these super teams with restrictions on trading picks?

Also, it is the same 3 or 4 guys doing the trading of picks back and forth with each other. I know them all personally so that’s the only reason I’m still in the league.

Curious as to what people here are doing and why. We do commissioner review and I just automatically push every trade through. This is our first year in a new dynasty league and most guys are pretty invested, so when we started up I wasn't too worried. Had a pretty brutal trade recently which makes me rethink the process.

At the trade deadline, one our bottom teams put that everyone was up for sale on their team, which led to one of our contenders sending a 25 1st, Diontae Johnson, and QJ for Mike Evan’s, Jakobi Meyers, and a 25 2nd. The issue arose immediately after the trade was accepted, because the contender had two first round picks, one of which is projected to be the 1.01. The contender didn’t realize that was the pick in question, and thought it was their own 1st. They’ve since tried asking the other team to exchange firsts, and offered to send extra players to cover the mistake, but the other guy isn’t receptive to that idea. The contender is now asking me to reverse it.

I don’t think it is my place to reverse trades just because someone didn’t fully read what they agreed to. I’ve asked them to send screenshots of their negotiations, just to see if one particular first was agreed to, and then the other one was the one included in the trade offer. The later first was the one included in most of the offers, but while offers were being sent, the team receiving the first started swapping the pick to the earlier first, and the contender kept swapping it back to the later first.

Like I said, I don’t think I should reverse just because he didn’t fully read the trade he accepted, but it’s not like this is buyers remorse, it was an immediate recognition of the mistake. Is there any grounds to reverse it, or should I let it stand as is?

Hey all, I'm starting up a 10 man Dynasty league next year and have been doing a lot of prep to try to get ahead of weird scenarios that may occur.

For this scenario, imagine we're going with First place gets next year's 1.10 rookie draft pick, and Last place gets 1.01. If halfway through the year, someone trades their first round pick for the following season, how do assign where in the draft that pick goes?

I’m the commissioner of a dynasty startup and most people in the league are new to dynasty and Sleeper. Earlier in the year someone dropped Jordan Love and didn’t pick up anyone in the same transaction. Immediately after, he typed in the chat that he had accidentally dropped Love. It seemed like an honest mistake so I added Love back to his roster and nobody complained about it so the season went on.

A few weeks passed and a manager (I’ll call him Jack) dropped Goedert while he was injured and picked up his backup Calcaterra. I messaged him and asked why he made that move. He quickly noticed he made a bad move and asked me to fix it. I stupidly went with it but after some friends asked me about it, I put Goedert back on waivers. Jack told me he was upset, but he understood and that was that. A couple more weeks pass and he drops Seibert for Moody. To me, that move was weird but made sense, Seibert was injured and rarely do people stash kickers. Jack then spams me saying how he meant to move Seibert to IR. That made absolutely 0 sense to me. I gave him Seibert back only because I was at work and already having a stressful day and didn’t feel like getting into anything over a kicker.

Literally the next week he drops the Texans defense. Another extremely questionable move. He calls man’s texts multiple times saying how it was an accident. I tell him I’m not adding the defense back and to pay more attention to what he does. He started to question my character and if it really matters what others in the league think. I told him I’d like to he seen as fair and it’s just not fair to keep fixing his mistakes. He then brought up how I added Love back to someone’s roster. I had to explain to him how some things are more obvious mistakes than others . I’m just sick of him constantly being stupid and trying to get me to fix it.

Is it my fault for giving him back Seibert? Idk feel free to call me out.
