I got accepted for FAU spring semester, master in special education and registered for spring classes. I found out in my account the bill for it and it says almost $12,00.

Is this amount is for the whole master degree (two year)?

hi! i’m an out of state student (NY) who applied back in oct for the honors college for neuroscience. i have a 1460 sat (730/730), a 95.79 weighted GPA, had a really solid essay, no clubs or sports but many volunteering based EC’s and an internship, as well having taken many AP/ IB courses through high school (taken 4 AP exams and gotten 4’s on all). my class rank is 70/280. im wondering if id even get in / if id be able to receive merit. thanks/good luck to everyone!

Applying for psychology on pre-med track

For those who applied through the common app, when it asks if you are a Florida Resident does it just mean if you are a resident for tuition purposes or a legal resident (green card/born there)?

Okay so I know this is pretty niche but there is this vendor that comes sometimes to the breezeway and sells vinyl and skateboard parts, anyone know the name?

I recently interviewed here and would like to learn more about the culture, how Prepared the residents feel And If it's considered prestigious due to it being a university program.

I just graduated FAU in August of 2024, but very late, since I am 34 years old. The thing is, even though I work and am looking for a better job, can I still be active on campus as an alumnus?

I won't be partying, but doing things like playing video games and looking for socializing and volunteering. I will also be dressed very formally, business attire perhaps.

Hello everyone! I am (hopefully) an incoming graduate student for the spring 2025 semester. Originally I had applied for the summer and the fall however I was contacted by my department letting me know if they had an availability for a teaching assistant ship in the spring. Having such position is huge for me as I definitely do not have the funds to finance my own graduate school experience however due to the short notice I am really really struggling to find anywhere to live off campus within my strict budget from my stipend. So far everywhere that I found within my budget is either terribly reviewed or very suspicious of being a scam. Does anyone know of any locations near campus that are affordable or has been in a situation similar and can offer some advice. Thank you!

Back in August I applied for the Spring 2025. I am currently on track to get my AA from PBSC this December. I'm confused as to why I didn't get accepted. I thought getting an AA would be an automatic entry into FAU.

hi guys, has anyone had success in changing their dorm room assignment if they didn’t like it? for example, all 3 of my requests were for single dorms and i ended up getting placed in a double which is something i really didn’t want. i’m trying to think of how i can appeal this, and i still have yet to submit my application to the accessibility office for an ESA for anxiety. does anyone know/ think that would help me get a single dorm instead?

Hi, I was told by my advisor to take Gov of the United States since it’s a requirement and that after the class I could take an online civics literacy exam online, additional charges. Does anyone know where I can do that? I took the class a semester ago and of course canvas totally wiped that courses page out, and I don’t know who to ask

Is anyone able to point me in any homelessness services that would verify me? I’ve basically been given a run around by multiple organizations because of how I’m slightly out of the permitters of being helped.

Not sure what to do, even housing has acknowledged my situation and won’t give any housing to me until that letter comes in.

Just feeling defeated after it’s been waved at me for the past couple weeks and told of emergency housing. Basically because I’m not HIV positive half of the places won’t accept me for services.

I’m just starting to get back into singing after years of not singing at all (not even alone) because of anxiety... Anyway, I recently started to get back into it and it’s really fun, I promise I’m not a terrible singer!

I’m open to different genres and think it’d be cool to do covers for example like Coldplay, Paramore, and Sixpence None the Richer or smth like that. We can also try making our own music that would be cool.

Hey! Weighted GPA is a 3.7 and unweighted is 3.3. A/A- grades through hs. 1110 on the SAT and out of state. Sport for 5 years (jv/varsity) and coach kids for it (also 4 years). Also visited campus but I’m not sure that matters lol. Chances for the Fall 2025 semester?

I applied to fau in september for the 2025 fall semester and i have been a little anxious about my chances of getting in so i was wondering if fau offered interviews for applied students to better my chances or whatever. I have a 3.47 gpa and a 1370 sat score for anyone curious by the way

Super happy to have gotten accepted into the College of Business. FAU is one of 2 schools that offers an in state online only bachelors in accounting. Wish me luck!! lol

Hi people, So I am looking to apply this year and I saw that FAU use a gpa from 0-5.0 however my school (in the uk) gave me my gpa in a 0-4.0 scale, anyway I got 3.3, when I apply will FAU admission scale it up to their 5.0 scale which should be 4.13? Thanks for any help given
