Does anybody know why there hasn’t openings at Amazon for months? There used to always be a ton of shifts available at a few different hubs in my area and there’s been nothing for months. What’s changed with their hiring practices?

So, we're supposed to have a pretty big snowstorm this weekend. The national weather service has already put out warnings about it. What do the management types usually do in those situations? I'd much rather stay at home.

So I was working in the non-con area today. I put a box in a shuttle, and right after, the shuttle fell over. The pallet was base wrapped, but I don’t think it was wrapped to the pallet itself. As soon as it fell, the shift ended. Now I’m just wondering if I’m in trouble for this or if it’s something that happens sometimes. Should I be worried?

I don’t understand, i just got a fresh 10hr PTO yesterday on New Years 2025. I work RT shift only (6hrs 30min). Decided to take Thursday off today, used some of new PTO to cover my entire 6hr shift tomorrow, got approved and everything.

Later that day I checked my A to Z app again and now I’m negative (-1hr 55min) if my PTO??? I had 4hrs of PTO to spare when I got approved, where did the rest of my PTO hours go? Is this a system glitch or what’s going on here? Anyone have any idea?

Can someone help me know my options, im going on a emergency trip between February 9th to 13th February, I would lose 3 shift days, but I'm in 0 with UPT and PTO and also I'm a seasonal. I don't know if I'll be able to not risk my job by doing this trip but I also can't cancel it since it's an emergency trip, can somebody tell me what could I do or if I could make enough UPT/PTO to cover by then?

Hey everyone, happy new years! Just wondering if there are any AM’s who have gained a certification or gone back to school to advance your career at Amazon? Is this worth it? I was thinking about getting a certification in project management after graduation.

Read a policy stating L5 AM’s have to stay in their role for a year before transferring to corporate . However, hearing conflicting things from other Amazon employees and Reddit feeds saying that isn’t true. Has anyone actually transferred within a year to corporate?

My site mentioned that if you were seasonal you had to put in a shift choice request for the shift you wanted if you wanted to stay with the company or not you were going to be let go. I put mine in but after a few days it says that it was declined,should I be worried and talk to HR or is it just to keep it on record that I want to stay?

Someone I know drinks alcohol, snorts cocaine, smokes marijuana and smokes methamphetamine in their vehicle on Amazon property while on the clock. Can I anonymously report them to the ethics hotline? Will anything be done? Opinions? They are a full time T1 aa at a same day delivery center.

I'm talking about the “Strongly agree” or “Strongly disagree” type questions.

Could be a whole new work environment. Maybe less 'Amazon High School'-ly. Perhaps still have favoritism and the 'we already have names for promotion, but we still had to post the job listing.'

So I been working at amazon for 6 months now, became a blue badge and everything, work and the people here at my site are very chill. Sadly now that it's Jan 1st 2025, I will begin my new job on the 10th. I was planning on making these next two days my final days before I resign from Amazon.

I live in California, Let's say if I resign this Friday, well they pay out the 10hrs of PTO that I just got today for New Years Jan 1st?

I accidently linked my employee discount to an incorrect Amazon account. If I delete it, can I choose another account?

I picked up an 8am-12pm shift on accident. I actually meant to click the 3pm-10pm shift. I now added the 3-10pm, but I can no longer drop the 8am-12pm without incurring a penalty. Now I’m trying to frantically decide what to do lol

Should I: (1) drop the shift and incur the penalty, so that at least someone else can pick up the 8am. (2) use 4 hours of PTO and accept that nobody will appreciate that I did that because now they’re down an employee. Albeit I doubt anyone will actually pick up this 8am, with it being New Year’s Day. Therefore, I drop the shift, incur penalty, and my coworkers are still down a person anyways. (3) work both shifts. (4) drop the 3-10pm shift, which is more hours and holidays being 1.5x, I’d actually want those 7 hours of pay. (5) work the 8am, then negotiate with my managers and ask them to let me use PTO for a portion of the second shift

I got inclined for the associate partner l3 role but didnt get the position. A new one just opened up and I have emailed the recruiter, just to let them know that I have applied.

I have a decent linkedin profile, i feel like if i can reach the hiring manager through linkedin maybe they can see me through all the other applications. Would it be wise to contact them on linkedin or is that too pushy or against any policy?

I recently got an offer for the Area Manager position at an Amazon sorting center in Texas. The salary is $65K. I’m trying to get a better understanding of what I’m walking into, so I’d love some insight from anyone with experience in this role or working in sorting centers in general.

Here are a few things I’d like to know:

•	What is the work-life balance like as an Area Manager at sorting centers?
•	What does a typical day look like in this role?
•	How long are the shifts, and do I have to hit certain rates at sorting centers?

Also, do you think a $65K + 8.5K bonus is a good salary for this role in Texas? I have a degree in Industrial Engineering so I do want to give this role a try to gain experience and grow toward more technical roles within Amazon.

I desperately need a job and I’d love to work here (I hate human interaction and love repetition lol) I’ve been reloading the website for weeks and weeks I literally cannot find a job posting.

(Please not im not wanting seasonal I want full time all year round)

Do any of you do this job at your sort center? Can you tell me if you like it and what exactly is it that you do.

Should I use my upt before year ends?

If I save up enough money, I can pay most of my co workers to wear these for the first part of the shift. No explanations.
