I’m about to leave to drive 2.5 hours away to see a 2019 f150 with the 2.7 at 64k miles. Truck is pretty loaded.
Regular oil changes every 6,000-7,500 miles. Trans flush at 50k miles. Differential flush as 60k miles. New tires at 60k miles (toyos). Seemingly no mods except diamondback tonneau cover. Rear brakes done at 33k miles. 6 mm left on back brakes, 5 mm left on front brakes.
They’re asking $27,500 with around $30,000 out the door. Is this a good deal? What can I talk them down to out the door? Opinions? thoughts? Anything specific I should look for inspecting the truck??
Dad is a mechanic so I’m pretty mechanically inclined but my dad is more of and doesn’t know much about anything besides the 5.0 because NA is all he knows and likes.
2019 F-150, XL Wow, I am not disappointed!! If you’re looking for a bigger screen/new stereo I can’t recommend this thing enough. Just got it installed and it was as easy as the YouTube videos does said it was. A couple early observations.
Has anyone ever seen these rims and tires on an f150. Looking at this used one online and something doesn’t seem right. Does it look like it’s been lowered or is it just giving it the illusion?
Can I shut off or move the text "Full view not available "? Thanks
Back in the family!

Hi all,
I got my 2024 F150 PB on 6/1/24 and about a month ago, I noticed a musty vinegar foul smell right when I turned on the car. It would last for 1-2 min then disappear.
I red a lot about this online and decided to do the following which solved it for me.
First, open the windows slightly and turn truck heat to hi and full fan speed (no ac / no recirculating air). I let that run while doing a trip to the gas station and back, so for about 20 min, so that the HVAC system had time to dry out.
Next, I took out the cabin air filter, and closed the compartment back up. Then, I opened the hood, and I turned the truck back on, windows are still cracked. I put the heat on med 72, no ac no circulation, window defrost on, upper cabin airflow on, foot airflow on and full speed airflow. With this running, I sprayed fresh duct / aerosol from the outside in the cabin air intake under the windshield on the passenger side. Sprayed for like 10-15 sec at the time, took little breaks in between. This pulled the cleaner fumes throughout the system/ducts. - make sure the windows are open for this, the fumes are probably not healthy.
Lastly, turned off truck, reinstalled new air cabin filter. Turned truck back on for 2-3 min on high airflow and the aerosol smell disappeared.
Now,the truck doesn’t smell anymore when starting it up.
I hope this helps someone.
Right from the top I DO NOT HAVE A SUNROOF
So I have had a leak for quite a while. I’ve had this truck since new and I think it’s gotten worse. It is 16 SCrew FX4. The thing is I recently washed for the first time in forever and didn’t notice any leaking but then we got a pretty good rain storm and I found this on my floor mat. It did the same a few days later after another storm.
I’ve read other posts but most are about having a sunroof. Anyone know where this is coming from?
Thinking of getting an 11th gen f150 still unsure of the specs. But you know something that’s older but still reliable according to some sources, i also think they look pretty nice. But are they truly reliable, or out of date with 2025 coming up. Any stories or tips I should know from you guys on your 11th gen before buying?
And knew to this subreddit I guess too lol. Finally made the jump after several recommendations in this sub and boy, was I not prepared for everything that came with it. I mean yes, the positives are still there but biggest thing I’m struggling with is how do I sleep after? The wife and I are “night” people if you get what I mean but I’ve been struggling to fall asleep while full erect. I’m sure I’m not the only one having this issue so wanted to get people’s thoughts/experiences too.
Hello, I was debating buying an F150 for sale on FB market place. The thing is it’s an XLT but the seller replaced the original seats with Lariat leather seats. It already had heating and he added an aftermarket ventilation kit with a wiring harness. I’m just curious if a change like this would mess with a vehicles safety features sensors, such as airbags. I had a curtain airbag save my life in the past so i just want to make sure before buying that it’s not an issue.
Edit: It’s a 2021 super crew cab.
Recently re-geared truck. Impressive, though wonder if performance chip could help further.
Thx K
Got a steal on an XLT, 5.0, in avalanche gray today and could not be more happy. This is my 4th Ford. Happy to continue in the Ford cult / family and could never see leaving.
100k miles on a 3 year old truck is pretty ridiculous but I mean that's just the reality for what my budget will allow. If I was gonna get something with 100k miles newer is better right?
I just got a new f150 and as part of the negotiations with the dealership, I got $500 accessories credit from ford. Basically everything that I'm seeing on Ford's website is more expensive than if I were to buy it from a different website. Does Ford ever do sales?
Further, if you bought an accessory from Ford directly, what do you recommend?
Was at the dealership the other day and was just browsing, or so I thought. Saw this XLT on the lot and fell in love with it. Upgraded from a 2019 STX and am absolutely thrilled with this 2024 XLT.

So this started when towing my travel trailer. When I’d stop at a rest stop for gas, and then turn the truck back on sometimes it would turn over a time or two, but it would almost sound like something trying to fire up- like a very slow crank. Sometimes it would only make it half a crank, then nothing. Some people thought it was battery in general, trailer pulling from the battery or whatever, idk. It had happened many many times and was pretty consistent with doing it, but after turning key off then trying again, it would always start- the worst ever taking 4 tries.
Got a new battery after that- OG battery was older anyways. Problem seemed to disappear. Took a month off towing my trailer, and then last trip it happened again a couple different times. Mind you the battery is only a few months old now.
Fast forward to today- haven’t towed my trailer since 10/21 yet of course have been driving the truck. Totally normal. Took it to dinner tonight (so it was only sitting a few hours, but more than enough to be “fully cold” again). Put the key in, everything lights up totally normal. Go to start it- absolutely nothing happens, it doesn’t even try to crank. Try letting the key go back, push forward again, nothing. Take the key out, back in, lights on like normal, nothing….then it works the 3rd try like nothing was ever wrong.
Any ideas?! What else can I check?? Some wiring somewhere? Is my starter shitting the bed maybe? If it’s not the starter honestly I have no clue. Anyone who says what the problem ends up being gets a crisp high five.
Need help, 2016 f150 making creaking sound when the truck is stationary turning the wheel or traveling under 20mph then fully turning. Thought clock spring but all the buttons still work for radio/ horn ect.
2012 f150 5.0 misfire at idle. Seems to be mostly on cylinders 3 and 6 I changed spark plugs and coils and still a misfire. Compression tested all cylinders they all hold pressure at 120 psi( I’m sure they can hold more pressure but I figured if it can hold over 100 then that rules out a bad valve). Throttle body clean and MAF sensor cleaned. Still misfire. Any idea what could be causing this?
Alright so I'm looking for a mod for my 2016 2.7 EB f150 that can flutter/compressor surge my turbos to get the stustustustu sound. I already have VTA but I'm not please with the sneeze sound. Any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Also I'm not interested in the pros or cons of what it may or may not do to my engine life. Thanks again 👍
