I've discovered this song recently (I know...) and I've read about the personal life of Ren which explained a lot of the song. But there is one part I'm struggling with, this one:
When I was seventeen years old, I shouted out into an empty room, into a blank canvas that I would defeat the forces of evil
And for the next ten years of my life I suffered the consequences
I've read that he has been first misdiagnosed as bipolar and that made it worse :
When Ren shared the track’s incredibly moving video, which shows him in a hospital gown performing the song from his wheelchair, he wrote on his YouTube page: “Years before I was diagnosed correctly with autoimmunity, Lyme disease and brain damage, I was misdiagnosed as bipolar and spent years bouncing back and forth between therapists and trialling different antidepressants all the while getting worse and worse.” The track came about, Ren explained, because he wanted to express “all the things I wish I’d said to my doctors and therapists at the time, but didn’t have the words to.”
Can it be the meaning of this part ? Like he decided to consult and the diagnostic made it worse ?
The thing that bugs me is "I suffered the consequences" like if the actions he refers as "shouting in an empty room" and "defeating the forces of evil" was a decision he takes and that implied 10 years of consequences.
Another explanation I read on genius.com is that it's related to his anti-capitalist view and that he knows that he won't achieve a lot of success with his music because of that. But I find this explanation very shallow compared to the depth of the rest of the lyrics of this song.
What is your take on this particular part of the song ?

SOLVED! I've been looking for this electronic type song that goes like "Oh yeah, Oh yeah, Oh yeah, Oh yeaaah! Just 4 times then again after brief instrumental music. Its either oh yeah or just oh 4 times then yeah but something like that. The singer sounds somewhat like Pheonix the one who sings Lisztomania which is from a game called Gran Turismo. Anyone know a song like that? I know I listened to it at work but wow has it been a struggle to find this stupid song.
EDIT: I realized he was saying "fallin" 4 times not "Oh yeah" and found that it's Phoenix - 1901 I was shocked to see it's the same artist that song Lisztomania since their so underated!
I love the lyrics but I have no idea what it's about. Does anyone know?
Me and my partner were recently trying to decipher what this song meant, we had never really paid too much attention to the lyrics up until now. We personally believe that the song is about drug addiction perhaps? What do y'all think? Here are the lyrics...
Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my
She is handcuffed to the ceiling Fan until the paint stops peeling and Great-Auntie-Karma's got her paralyzed She's alive in the thighs baby, Dead in the eyes baby
Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my
Two-legged-limp Pajama shirt She lies so still, her joints get worse Closed her eyes, to watch the silk burn backwards Closed her eyes, to watch the silk burn backwards And faster, and faster, and faster faster faster faster
Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my
She is sobbing into my wallet she's Getting high on chandelier polish and she'll Never ever leave the house again no She'll never ever ever leave the house again so
Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my
Her fantasies, Of phantom limb, He's gone she sees A phantom him In the blender, takes a swim to make the day dim faster Takes a swim to make the day dim faster And faster and faster faster faster faster
Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my wife? Where's my
You hit mute with such precision When Mona Lisa was on television I cut myself on your paper prison But all you've done has been forgiven You hit mute with such precision When Mona Lisa was on television And darlin' to you I could never lie The girl I was when I loved you Loved you 'til the day she died
Would anyone be able to tell me what they feel/understand when they listen to this song, or read the lyrics? It's been my one of my favourites for a while, but I only really connected to the lyrics in a vague sort of way and it would be really nice to understand it better.
I did look it up and the only thing I could find was a tiny bit the artist (Ali Lacy) had shared about the name of the song when he released it saying, "The name 'State Lines' represents the idea of bordering something, it reflects a feeling or place of uncertainty."
After reading this I wasn't sure if the vagueness was intentional, but it would be nice to know what you think. Thank you, and I hope you're all staying safe :)
Lyrics:
Here, I'll forgive my thoughts now
Steer it, 'cause I'll forget the dots now
Was it all anymore faded after all?
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know
Are you sure, did you call?
Did we ever really talk?
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know
I don't
Dear, I wouldn't bet your heart down
Clear, but I couldn't get my head around
Was it all anymore faded after all?
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know
Are you sure, did you call?
Did we ever really talk?
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know
I've been awake in every state line
Dying to make it last us a lifetime
Trying to shake that it's all on an incline
Find me a way, I'll be yours in a landslide

Can anyone decipher the lyrics to this song?
The lines I'm unsure of are:
I just need a quick explanation of what these lines mean or are referring to.
Thanks in advance.
Why “down a wishing well?
“There's a girl down a wishing well Throw down my change I'm not the one you want In the wandering rain”
First post here so let's see how this goes. This song is by a band I recently discover called 1000mods. They are described as a Greek stoner rock band. I enjoy all genres of music. ‘Vidage’ is French for “emptying”.
If you haven't heard this song give it a chance. Im interested to see what others think the meaning of the lyrics may be, if anything at all. Enjoy.

Lyrics
Filled with something That will set me free today I feel I'm falling in my sleep With no word to say
And as I'm driving With the angels by my side They tell me my friend Ain't your window open wide
Please wake me I wanna catch the liberty ship Please wake me I wanna breathe the air so deep
Don't lock the door now I'm coming home for sure Don't throw us out now And don't leave us alone
Tell me something Are you lost when you've found your way? I've been there man So beware of what I say
Feel no sorrow Feel no hate Feel nothing at all Hold me baby
Tell me something Are you lost when you've found your way? I've been there man So beware of what I say
Feel no sorrow Feel no hate Feel nothing at all Hold me baby
So I was wondering what the meaning was behind the song Hole Dwelling by Kikuo? I love the song so much and wanna know what its about since most of their songs have dark meaning behind them.

Lyrics
Inside a cramped, narrow hole The two of us show each other our dreams We can't be in that world; Neither can we be in this world Dear God-the god of children We are covered in scratches in the Sandbox where you amused yourself
Tatata...
We dance. We spin around. Our dance is a queer one We thought we were dancing We thought we were laughing We thought we were falling over We thought we were screaming Our eyes are shaky. All sounds are a mere jumble Our legs are also shaky. An illusion, a mere jumble The sun, the moon, the sky, and God-all Bringing forth: this life of hole-dwelling We can't escape. We can't escape We can't escape, so we won't escape We won't escape, so close your eyes. 2, 1, 0 Let's fall, let's fall, let's fall and fall Into the vortex of this life of hole-dwelling Let's fall, let's fall, let's fall and fall together Like the best of friends, wherever it may take us You and me, forever and always The same, the same, the same, are we not? The same, the same, the same, are we not? It's wrong. So wrong. But we're lonely. So lonely Let's fall, let's fall, let's fall and fall, lalala... The same, the same, the same, are we not? Lalala... The same, the same, the same, are we not? It's wrong. So wrong. But we're lonely. So lonely
One of us, one of us. What do you say? Wanna join? One of us, one of us. We're all in this together What's the password for this world of holes? We can't escape. We can't escape We can't escape, so we won't tell you Are you one of us? One of us lonely folks? Are you one of us inhabitants of the pit of hell?
We're drinking up the dreams-every last Fragment of them. Gonna mix your dream in, too We can't be in that world; Neither can we be in this world Our eyes are shaky. All sounds are a mere jumble Our arms are also shaky. An illusion, a mere jumble The sun, the moon, the sky, and God- So unctuously vibrant, all of them We can't escape. We can't escape We can't escape, so we won't escape We won't escape, so close your eyes Close your eyes...rururu...
Aah...
Let's fall, let's fall, let's fall and fall Into the vortex of this life of hole-dwelling Let's fall, let's fall, let's fall and fall together Like the best of friends, wherever it may take us The same, the same, the same, are we not? You and me, forever and always The same, the same, the same, are we not? It's wrong. So wrong. But we're lonely. So lonely Let's fall, let's fall, let's fall and fall, lalala... The same, the same, the same, are we not? Lalala... The same, the same, the same, are we not? It's wrong. So wrong. But we're lonely. So lonely
This is about the song "Fighting the Green" by Deine Lakaien. The lyrics are in English. It is a german Band. I am lost. Myself a german native speaker with a rather good understanding of the english language. But I can't figure it out.
Found Lyrics:
again coldness is giving way makes me smell the breath of may again wafting near what makes me scream fear is fighting, fighting the green fear is fighting, fighting the green fighting the green...
and again and again i feel this shooting pain and again hide bmyself behind a wall of distain reach for a saving hand and again at the slightest touch in vain and again and again in vain and again and again in vain...
refusal of taking keeps me from giving hence i'm not getting, hence i'm not living seems to be my fate, to be my scheme fear is fighting, fighting the green fear is fighting, fighting the green fighting the green...
and again and again i feel this shooting pain and again hide bmyself behind a wall of distain reach for a saving hand and again at the slightest touch in vain and again and again in vain and again and again in vain...
a choked whisper, a died out gleam the try of a smile remains unseen spring is a poem, a winter's a dream fear is fighting, fighting the green fear is fighting, fighting the green fighting the green...
and again and again i feel this shooting pain and again hide bmyself behind a wall of distain reach for a saving hand and again at the slightest touch in vain and again and again in vain and again and again in vain...
You send me to St.Petersburg
You send me off to war
The world behind the map is still alive
They'll try to drink your blood
Like Vampire Diaries on tv
Like dinosaur mosquitos in the house
You send me to Johannesburg,
You send me off to Hell
The world is awful on an awful day
Don't try to reach eternal life
By wearing diamond rings,
By throwing black tuxedos to the sky
[x2]
If I were you I'd feed the humble and the poor
Some say the end is near, they see the crack of doom
I hate the reasons and the facts that brought us here
I hate all gods, I'm not afraid of any fear
You send me back to Istanbul
You ring the final bell
The world we've once rejected is still alive
Too many people prayed to God
Consumed, they write him off
He must be somewhere out there having fun
He must be somewhere out there having fun
[x2]
If I were you I'd feed the humble and the poor
Some say the end is near, they see the crack of doom
I hate the reasons and the facts that brought us here
I hate all gods, I'm not afraid of any fear
...... https://youtu.be/Vz-Qw0tIFu8 ..... First verse is referencing Leningrad siege and cannibalism there. Idk what the rest references tho.
I've collected up blue stars I have ripped them from his belt Up in the clear sky Out in the black night
I've wrapped them up in leaves That I've gathered from our street Here on a half hill In light of the windmill
I'll always burn a light for you Of the constant kind (Of the constant kind) I always burn a light for you
I have asked the sun to sink All the birds to cease their singing To close up this long day Draw blinds on it's mistakes
I have ordered all the words To surround you and speak in turn The best that they dare state The things that I can't say
I'll always burn a light for you Of the constant kind (Of the constant kind) I'll always burn this light for you
Oh the city homes are all alight And the sky has filled itself with night I will steal these things away For us both
One of Ludacris’ BEST Bars in my Opinion
I’ve never thought of this before but the song “Beast Mode” - Ludacris from the 2015 Ludaversal album popped into my head. Now it may seem odd and you may think, oh a song popped into your head, but it wasn’t that this particular song popped into my head it was the particular verse that did. I had never really thought of this bar before but now that I have it is an incredible bar that proves my theory of Ludacris being one of the all time best (despite people thinking otherwise). The verse goes, “...in a black Rolls Royce Dark Knight like bat man (bat man movie reference not the part that blew my head off), everywhere you turn the ghost follows like Packman (that right there, the last part of this bar is what got me after years of listening to the song). So to break it down Ludacris mentions a black Rolls Royce “dark night like Batman,” (setting the scene for the imagery). This creates the image of a black Rolls Royce in the dark of knight (just as Batman would be) but then he goes on to say, “everywhere you turn the GHOST follows like Packman.” So with the info of a Rolls Royce and a ghost and then take the knowledge of Rolls Royce having a model called the, “Phantom,” we get the image of a Rolls Royce Phantom (this is because a Phantom is a type of ghost). From what I can tell, Ludacris, is creating the image of a Rolls Royce Phantom chasing someone around city streets. This image comes from the, “everywhere you turn the ‘ghost’ (or the Rolls Royce Phantom) follows (someone or something is being followed) like Packman.
Simple question, what is the monstermash? Is it a song, a dance, both? In the song they use “did” and “played” to both describe the monstermash. If the monstermash is a song, have we ever heard it or is the monstermash in the song the same monstermash that is the song? If it’s both a song and dance, which came first? I NEED ANSWERS!
I really like this song, but I don't really get what it's about. What's your interpretation of it?
Lyrics:
We used to think our words were gold
That our binded hearts could withstand cold
We were catching diamonds in the rain
Letting precious water through the drain
Stars were dancing in their light
A past that we could never right
Oh, they were dancing
Way up high
We built these walls so we could find
Who could prove themselves
Through the waves of time
Trying to repent before you sin
Is like giving up before you begin
Stars were dancing in their light
A past that we could never right
Oh, they were dancing
Way up high
Stars were dancing in their light
A future we will never write
Dirt on our feet was bone dry
It was bone dry
Thought another goal is all we needed
Taking second chances till we bleed
And when all the love had been depleted
We had but no choice to concede
As the stars were dancing in their light
A past that we could never right
Oh, they were dancing
Way up high
Stars were dancing in their light
A future we will never write
Dirt on our feet was bone dry
It was bone dry

‘I was your new best friend, do you know I’ll treat you like them’ what does she mean by this?
so, this song has very few words, yet i cant myself determine what he's saying/meaning with these lyrics. All i can get from it is that he wants to watch things happen. here are the lyrics
Give me a window with one way glass
Just look out on the world and watch people pass
Give me a window to shield me
Rock can't be seen, I don't wanna be free
Give me a window to stop the sound
And to keep out of the noise of the merry-go-round
Give me a window with one way glass
Save me from questions I might have to ask
