The rules would also require that manufacturers make spare parts easily available to repair service providers and consumers.
The law would cover products such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and even smartphones, with the possibility to add more products to the list over time.
The overall aim is to reduce waste and bolster the repair sector by making product repairs more accessible and cost-effective.
Hey everyone! I'm currently working on a project exploring the impact of mobile devices on daily their lives, particularly in different regions around the world. I'm particularly interested in hearing from members who are based in Denmark. If anyone from Denmark is willing to share their experiences with mobile devices and how they've influenced their daily routines, I would love to connect with you for a brief interview. Your insights would be invaluable for this research. I already had someone, but they now not able to do it
Please feel free to comment below or send me a message if you're interested in participating. Thanks in advance for your help!

Free Russia Foundation:
"The number of political prisoners in Russia is on the rise, as more and more people are imprisoned for opposing Putin’s policies and the war in Ukraine.
Vladimir Kara-Murza, a vocal Kremlin critic, has received a 25-year sentence for denouncing the war and advocating for sanctions against human rights abusers. Having survived two poisoning attempts, his health is deteriorating in prison without proper care.
Alexandra Skochilenko, an artist who was sentenced to 7 years for activism, is also suffering from chronic conditions without adequate medical attention.
Alexei Gorinov, a local deputy who received a 7-year sentence for mentioning Ukrainian children's deaths, is now facing health decline due to lack of care.
On April 10, 2024, MEP Petras Auštrevičius, in coordination with human rights advocate William Browder, hosted a discussion at the European Parliament. It was organized with the participation of Free Russia Foundation. The event aimed to highlight the cases of political prisoners and to amplify the campaign for the release of the unjustly imprisoned in Russia, with testimonies from families, lawyers, and colleagues of the political prisoners.
At the event, Evgenia Kara-Murza, the wife of Vladimir Kara-Murza, delivered a comprehensive overview of the current state of political repressions in Russia. She underscored the dangers faced by political prisoners, recalling the vile assassination of Alexei Navalny and the suspicious deaths of at least 50 people in pre-trial detention, courts, police stations, and police cars the previous year.
The number of political prisoners in Russia is estimated to be around 700, with about 116,000 facing criminal or administrative charges for exercising free speech since 2018.
According to his wife, Mr. Kara-Murza was charged with high treason based on five public speeches denouncing the war of aggression against Ukraine and raising awareness about the ongoing crisis with human rights in Russia. He has been imprisoned for two years and held in a disciplinary cell of a maximum-security prison in Siberia for the last six months.
Sadly, Vladimir’s case is not unique, with even minors now being targeted by Putin’s regime for anti-war speech. A 17-year-old Yegor Balazeykin has been sentenced to 6 years for attempting to set fire to a conscription center, and an 18-year-old Darya Kozyreva is facing years in prison for demonstrating a poster with a quote from Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.
Mr. Kara-Murza's wife called for the release of all political prisoners in Russia as part of the post-war settlement, emphasizing the urgency of the situation for those with serious medical conditions. She expressed support for the European Parliament's proposal to establish an EU Special Envoy for Political Prisoners and Hostages in Russia to coordinate efforts for their release."
Europe we should go all in into geothermal energy, and any volcanoes like the ones in Canary islands could be turned into giant geothermal stations using sea water, and use the leftover electricity to produce and store hydrogen to fuel boats back to Europe.
And as a side product it would also produce water from condensing the steam and sea salt.
The heat and steam could also be used for growing crops like they do in iceland inside greenhouses for cold areas of Europe.
The hot water if unsalted first so it doesn't block the underground pipes (then the brine could be evaporated in the sun to produce sea salt as pouring it back into the ocean could be damaging) could then be put into cooling pools like in blue lagoon that used to be just a geothermal ppwerplant too, all geothermal plants could also have therms nearby like in Roman times that there were baths everywhere. https://www.bluelagoon.com/
As for the economy, I keep reading articles about distancing from China but still being dependent from it, so why not move on to the Indian market? they have even more people than China and its a democracy, I'm sure we can sell them lots of things and make lots of companies there for supply to compensate the ones in China.
I am thinking of applying for the Schuman traineeship and maybe some others in Brussels, but I have some concerns/questions.
