Lets say youre translating "that cat". If you were asking it as a question, if you would say "which cat", its tiu, but if you would say "what cat", its tio.
The London Esperanto Club (LEK) is launching new online Esperanto courses in April from beginners (A1) to advanced (C1).
One of them is for complete beginners (the one with John on Tuesdays).
To see the whole list of courses and to register, please visit:
https://londonaesperantoklubo.com/online-esperanto-courses.html
Note that most courses will take place in the evenings European time (afternoons/late mornings in America) so please check the exact time of the course you're interested in.
If you know anyone who might be interested in learning Esperanto, please let them know about our new courses for complete beginners. Dankon!
So I’m trying to translate the English sentence: “however none exist because none have been created.” When I translate it I get a different response than google translation which I use to double check my work.
My translation: Tamen neniu ekzistas ĉar neniu estis kreis.
Google: Tamen neniu ekzistas ĉar neniu estis kreita.
Please tell me which is right and if I’m wrong a brief explanation would help. I can’t find an answer in my conjugation references.
Hey guys, just posting lingoXpress.com here. I'm building this on my spare time, currently you can sign up to receive an email every day with an Esperanto word. You can then click on the link that comes in the email to view some examples phrases. It's free, I'm hoping to build a community. Hope to see you there
Hello. Does anyone have this book? https://katalogo.uea.org/index.php?inf=5922
It is the translation of a Romanian book into Esperanto, written by Urmuz.
I cannot find any further information about it anywhere. Were there reviews? How was it received? Is the translation good?
If anyone actually has the book, could I please see the translator's note?
Me pensis, ke koni simple signifas angle "to be acquainted with (usu. a person)." Sed mi hodiaŭ renkontis la vorton konatiĝi. Unu fonto difinas tiun vorton kiel "to be acquainted with," kaj alia "to get acquainted." Danke al ĉi tiu afero, mi ankaŭ malkovris la vorton konati, kaj mi ne komprenas la diferencon inter koni kaj konati.
Dankon por via helpo.
I'm going to attempt to learn Esperanto and also teach my 11 and 8 year old boys. I want to keep them interested and excited by playing games. The first one that I could think of for simplicity sake and learning a little vocabulary on the way is to play gofish but all in Esperanto. While I can find the translation for pretty much everything ... Except "gofish". Is there a translation for this that we can use? We are starting this weekend so I'm preparing what ever I can think of. Any advice is welcome. This will be my first language outside of English.
Saluton! Ĉi tiu estas plibonigita refaro de antaŭa video. Mi korektis erarojn kaj aldonis subtekstojn!!!!
