Registration of Stay - Erasmus in Poland

Hi, at the start of the semester, we were informed by our school about the various bureaucratic requirements typical of an Erasmus program. One of these requirements was to register at the city hall for a temporary stay in Poland. We completed this and received our PESEL number and confirmation for the dormitory. Now, we've been asked to submit additional documents, including a translated version of our health insurance and a statement verifying that we have sufficient funds for our stay, also in translation and some other documents.
I'm curious if anyone has experience with this process. Previous Erasmus students have mentioned that they didn't comply with these requirements and didn't face any consequences. However, I would prefer to take a cautious approach. Thanks in advance for any advice or shared experiences!

I got the Erasmus+ scholarship

Hello everyone, I just got the scholarship lettre, they told me that I can apply for some Top-ups (specifically the Social Top-up for students with non-academic family background) that can add some extra 250eur/month. I applied for it and signed a declaration of honor, but do you know what type of documents that is required as a proof, since they did not talk to me about it yet and I want to prepare it in advance. Thank you for your support.

Seeking Internship Opportunities in Madrid (June 24, 2024 - July 14, 2024) Related to the Erasmus Project

Hello everyone,

I am looking for an internship placement in Madrid from June 24 to July 14, 2024, as part of my Erasmus project. I am eager to gain experience in an international setting.

I am open to various industries and have a particular interest in areas such as marketing, communications, education, or social sciences, but I am also curious about other opportunities. If anyone has contacts, tips, or recommendations on how and where I can find such internships, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Muchas gracias.

Non EU citizen doing Erasmus in Hungary

Hello Everyone! I’m a non-EU (Sri Lankan) student studying in Romania. I have a Romanian temporary residence permit (for studies) for the duration of my study period.

I recently got an offer to do Erasmus in university in Hungary for the upcoming year.

My question is do I have to apply for a Hungarian Type D student visa to enter and do the Erasmus programme in Hungary? Or is there another way for the visa/permit, e.g. I heard there's something called a ‘Student Mobility Certificate’ (also called ‘Student Mobility Notification’) which allows me to enter and study in Hungary without needing to apply for any visa. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

The uni in Hungary doesn’t seem to know much about it and neither does my current uni.

I would really appreciate your help. Thanks!

EMGS

Anyone that could tell me more about the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies? Do they respect your preferences for mobility tracks? Is the experience worth it? Is it possible to work part time while attending? (I didn’t get the scholarship but I am considering to go as self funded student)

Should I go for Erasmus CoDas as self-funding student?

Hi, I got accepted to the CoDas program but as a self-funding student. The tuition fee is 8000€/year. I have a savings of 25000€ and currently work as a remote full-time software developer with 5 years of experience. I plan to keep my job while studying to fund my study but I am not sure if I can maintain it for long time. Should I invest and take this risk? I really like their curriculum and university's reputation (UPC and Aalto). But that's all my savings after years of working...

Erasmus Mundus vs Sciences Po

I was awarded a full scholarship to do Erasmus Mundus joint master in public policy at Central European University in Vienna, and Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals. This is a 2 year program through the global public policy track.

Right now, I’m still waiting for a decision from Sciences Po for a 2-year master in international governance and diplomacy.

I am really interested in both programs… I could see myself living in France or Spain longer term. I’d give SP serious thought if I got in. The issue is I’d definitely have to take out loans and it’s hard to compete with all that the Erasmus scholarship offers.

When it comes to Erasmus, I do feel drawn to the idea of experiencing these two different cities and it almost feels like an offer I can’t refuse.

Idk if I’m seeking advice and insight, or just talking myself through how I feel but if anyone has any thoughts, I’m curious to know if I should stick to Erasmus Mundus. I do feel really fortunate to have that scholarship, and I think this might be the only time in my life I can experience Vienna and Barcelona like this. Ahhhhh.

Erasmus+ availability in Hungary

I’m currently a Non-EU student planning to attend a Hungarian university the next academic year (specifically Corvinus). Recently I’ve read some articles about European Parliament rejecting certain Hungarian universities from the scheme. Would this mean that I will not be able to apply for Erasmus+ in the near future if I study in Hungary?

Is it worth leaving well paid Job for Erasmus ?

i have recently received an offer for Erasmus joint masters program but only with tution fee wavier. I am currently working and have 3 years work experience. If I were to accept the offer that means I have to spend almost all my savings for living cost. I wanted to do my masters but now I'm debating whether it will be worth.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated .

Received two EM scholarships

Hello everyone, I would like to inquire about the Erasmus Mundus scholarship programs.

Two months ago, I received the results of the Erasmus Mundus Program A, and I am on the waiting list. They offered me a scholarship covering only tuition fees, and I confirmed verbally via email (as they required confirmation within 13 days) without sending any other documents. This is a program I really want to pursue, but because I didn't receive the EM scholarship, I'm still hesitant.

One month ago, another Erasmus Mundus program, called B, announced results. I was placed on the main list for the EM scholarship. They asked me to confirm and sign a document called "Declaration for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarships" within 13 days, and of course, I did that. In this document, they requested me to confirm that "I understand that I cannot benefit from another EU funded scholarship scheme to follow the same (or another) EMJM Master course for the entire period of the enrollment in B master program." Additionally, I haven't signed the Student Agreement and other documents yet.

Yesterday, Program A contacted me again, indicating a high possibility that I will be moved to the main list, and they will notify me as soon as possible. I always prioritize Program A over Program B. In case I receive the EM scholarship for both programs, I will choose Program A. However, I'm concerned whether, in my situation, I can still withdraw from Program B and receive the EM scholarship for Program A, because as I mentioned above, I signed the online version of the "Declaration for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarships" for Program B.

I would like to receive advice from those who have received the EM scholarship, those who have knowledge about it, and especially from those who have been in my situation.Thank you very much!

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in Imaging

Hi everyone! I've seen somewhere in reddit that there was an applicant whole got an offer and he needs to send his decision until 3rd May. I am wondering, how can he get an invitation so early if everyone was supposed to get it in mid May (actually mid April but they delayed). So maybe there are more applicants who got an invitation. And maybe they send offers until mid May, not in mid May. Could you please share with me if you got an offer in EMJM in Imaging. And also, should everyone be invited to an interview?

Erasmus Barcelona - Experiences, Budget and looking to connect

Hi guys, if everything goes according to the plan I am going to do a part of my thesis in UPC in Barcelona, starting next February.

I would like to know if anyone can give me an idea of a reasonable budget I should have to stay for 6 months, I am expecting around 1000 euros per month. Also, I am interested in hearing the experiences of anyone who went to Barcelona during Erasmus, especially to universitat politècnica de Catalunya.

Finally, if anyone else is going there in the next year, I would like to connect!!

Thanks

EMJM in GroundwatCH Reduced Tution fee. Is it worth it?

Hello people, I have been selected for EMJM in GroundwatCH with reduced tution fee. The tution fee has been reduced from EUR 18000 to EUR 3000 for 2 years of study (i.e a scholarship of EUR 15000). Is it worth it considering the living expenses and other expenses alongwith the job opportunities after graduating?

Also, is it possible to do a part time job along with studying? Thankyou.

Waitlisted, what are my chances?

I have been accepted in the FOOD4S PROGRAM. I received an email today saying I got in but I'm on the scholarship reserve list in top 5. They also said that if there are any other people from my country (India) in the scholarships then I won't get one despite clearing the reserve list.

Now what are the chances that I'll get a scholarship? Also, should I email them about it? When are the results usually out?

Because I have another offer at hand who are giving me a scholarship but I was rooting for the Biftec-FOOD4S 🙁
