When ever I open citra.exe it open and immediate shuts down and there is no way to install it
So I've been noticing whenever I'm playing games I get the same kind of issue, texture flickering and tearing. I will include screenshots of each example I could find so far, but its driving me crazy trying to figure out if its a settings issue or its just supposed to be like that. Some examples include all the crash bandicoot games have the textures flickering and tearing themselves up creating black triangles, parts of reginas clothes flickering in dinocrisis along with her arm, parts of furniture and the environment glitching out, etc.
Hello. As the title says I am having problems emulating mgs4.
When I start the game everything is fine, but after the first or second cutscene the game freezes up and I have to shut the game down because I cannot do anything in the game. Reminder that I am on Windows 11 if that is relevant to my problem. I do not get any messages saying the game has crashed or if there is any problems
Any help will be greatly appreciated tysm.
Edit: I have been told to and have installed something called the canary patches if that is relevant

With so many editions of the franchise where would you recommend to start? As I gather the games were remastered on PS3, should I play those versions or PS2 ones?

I haven't emulated anything before so just looking for help/advice. I have a switch and animal crossing but I want to be able to play it on my pc and steam deck. Is there a way I can copy the data from my cartridge and paste it into a folder on my pc?
id like to get a 1 tb SSD to put a huge collection of games on there going from GBA all the way to switch emulation
is it overkill or would a ssd help with shader cashing?
Hi, I am a beginner for rpcs3, but when I set the frame limit to 60, and the vblank frequency to 120 hz, the game moves to quickly. I’ve googled it, and most people’s response is to set the frame limiter, but I can’t find it on my emulator. Is there any way to fix this, and is there any way to find the frame limiter. Thanks.
Which one is better for emulation in general: E5-2690 V4 or E5-2667 V4? There's not a lot of benchmarks for these. I've seen that 2690 often outperforms 2667 in modern games, with some few exceptions. And one thing I notice in some of the benchmarks is the base clock of 2690 being over 3.0ghz, which confuses me a bit because I thought the amount of cores wouldn't allow it to go to that clock frequency very often. But back to the original question: which one would give me better performance on emulators like Yuzu and PCSX2?

I want you to tell me if I can somehow play Wind Waker with a specific setting or what would help me. Either Cemu or Dolphin
This is how it works: Every month everyone submits a game for each system, and then we all vote and play the winning games through the month. Repeat the cycle again with new games at the end.
Chat about your experience, ask for spoiler free tips, and share your thoughts with everyone as we check out new games!
This is an excellent cure for analysis paralysis - if you're spending more time looking at or downloading games than you are playing them, come check out what we're doing!
Thanks to all the wonderful gamers who joined for our Halloween Event : )
Submissions opened last night and end in 2 days, and then voting begins! We start off each new month with a fresh pool of games across several retro platforms.
Hope to see some friendly faces, the community we have built here is super chill and its a great time.

I have an acer insprie f5 with a intel HD 520 gpu, I've been trying to run a couple games but just get black screens no matter the setting I've tried to run on tutorial fixes, is my computer the reason? specs linked below

Is it possible to increase the speed of the fast-foward function in Ares (Windows)? It only goes up to 120fps (200%). Thanks.
What the title says, I’m playing through mgs1 on duckstation right now and I just got past the torture section where ocelot is zapping you and now I’m stuck on this black screen with a disc spinning in the corner. I tried to close and reopen the emulator multiple times but nothing changes I replay the electric minigame and then back to the black screen. Is there a fix to this?
No need to link anything, of course.
But I did some searches and found nothing, not even proper tools because they break the roms.
Any help appreciated.
If a game I want to emulate is available on both PS3 and 360. Which console would be best to emulate?
Hi. Is there a way for me to download the full roms library for xbox 360? It is tedious to download every game individually.
Nox, Blue Stacks and Memu. They do load Dream Art nicely, but when I press "CREATE" or anything like it, I get: "Something went wrong. Please try to create art again."
Any help would be appreciated.

Setting up the controller worked and I can control DuckStation with it in Big Picture mode. When I launch a game I can see from the overlay in the bottom left controller inputs are being recognized, but the game does not respond to them. Switching between analog and digital mode did not fix the issue. I'm using an Xbox One controller.
Title. Running BSNES v115, downloaded a fresh copy of the Nightly version from their website, for no reason BSNES will randomly begin to rapidly drop in FPS until it completely freezes. Several SMW hacks, other games, all of them will do this. Restarting BSNES does nothing, overclocking the CPU does nothing. Fullscreen, windowed mode, Fast Math, Entropy changes, No VRAM Blocking, nothing I've attempted to this point works.
Anyone ever encountered this problem? It's not just hacks, it's actual games too. It runs with zero problem until BSNES is put into focus, then the problems continue. While restarting the computer works, I'll sooner go back to ZSNES before I restart every ten minutes to play an emulator.
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Sorry getting ahead of myself.

Hey all,
So I recently decided to switch to playing the GameCube version of Gauntlet Dark Legacy instead of the PS2, mainly for the inventory system the GC one has.
I decided to use a few cheats to essentially "fast track" my Wizard, Archer, and Warriors back to max stats and max level. The GC version seems to only support 3 cheats; 9999 health for each player(1-4), infinite keys for each player(1-4) and a lot of money for each player(1-4).
However if I use the Gecko cheats, they just don't work. The game still plays fine though. Yes, "Enable Cheats" is turned on. I did download the Gecko cheats from the in emulator download feature. It also had the same codes already loaded in for AR. If I use the AR cheats instead, then it gives an Invalid Written 0x00000 type error and the game doesn't start. If I turn off the AR cheats and either use no cheats or use Gecko again, the game launches totally fine, but of course the Gecko cheats don't work still.
Anyone able to offer any assistance? I'm using the 1.10 USA version of Gauntlet Dark Legacy since it had the boss health bars fix and others. I can't seem to find anywhere that, that version difference should matter though.
-->SOLVED<--: In case anyone in the future has the same struggle, I discovered that it does indeed matter which version you use. Codes do NOT work on 1.10, but will work on 1.00. HOWEVER... you need to copy and paste the correct AR codes from a website that lists GameCube AR codes. The ones Dolphin comes with are not correct. I didn't test Gecko ones, so I'm unsure. My suggestion is to use 1.00 to use codes until you relevel your characters to whatever point you want, then switch to 1.10 to have the fixed version. If Boss and Major Enemy health bars aren't important to you, then just stick with 1.00 the whole way.
Does anyone know how to improve the graphics on Xemu? My game looks really fuzzy and I've seen screenshots where it looks way better than mine. My internal resolution is set to 2x.
I'm trying to play Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (GameCube). Dolphin used to run smoothly. I beat Lego Star Wars: The Videogame and had no issues. I didn't even have issues with the second game until recently. Now it keeps lagging, and crashing. The First 2 times it showed me that warning message then the last 2 times it froze.
My specs are Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.19 GHz. RAM: 16 GB. System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. The Emulator was located in my c drive but I moved it to the e drive where my roms are.
