Hey everyone, I’d love some advice regarding Emirates Business Class for my overnight return flight from Dubai to Bangkok. Here are the details:
For those who have taken business on this route, would you say the upgrade is worth it for a night flight? Also, does anyone know how many meals are served on the Emirates DXB-BKK overnight business class? Is it only dinner and a snack, or a snack and breakfast, or dinner, snack, and breakfast?
Thanks so much!
Am I able to take a stroller and carseat complementary for my baby? The T&Cs suggest that you can take one complementary and that you would have to pay extra to check in the second item. I have had friends who flew emirates who said they were allowed both however. Would really appreciate a recent confirmation (and if this is a change in T&Cs because they flew a couple of years ago)
Thank you!
has anyone ever not been able to get their meal choice on the A380 flights? ive flown alot and always seem to get mine despite sitting right at the back and being served more or less last. Somebody on the ground must be taking incredibly good guesses!
Though, on the 777s the do occasionally run out.
I recently booked my flights from Singapore to London in business class with a layover in Dubai and am wondering if any of my flights include the new cabins.

Hi, Flying on the 5/11 and can see a few blocked seats on an A380 flight. Anyway I can access those blocked seats. Does the airline unblock them closer to the flight? Do I call up and ask? Thabks
Just to clarify. I’m looking to upgrade from PE to business
Hi, I need to get the email address of the passenger who was next to me is it in any way possible??
Guys I have a question do I need a us visa or transit visa just for a stop over to Miami for 2 hours? Will I be able to travel to bogota? Thanks
Hello! I have a 4 hour 45 min long Dubai layover and am marathon training so would love to leave the airport and go on a run from the airport on my layover. Has anyone done this? LOL Is there anywhere that would be okay to run near the airport? Is 4:45 too short?
I can carry proof of being a full time student however, I am 3 months past my 31st birthday. But I’m still 31 years old. Are they stickler about that? I am worried about paying hefty fine if they are.
Hey!
I recently flew Manchester UK to Wellington NZ one way for a move! The day or two before departure we were offered a business upgrade for £500 ($1000) for the Dubai leg of the trip and we accepted. Following that we had a 15 hour leg in economy that was just so bad, I was poorly, dehydrated and just so uncomfortable. We did ask in dubai about an upgrade on the second leg and it was pretty much the same price but we decided against it. The poor journetly in economy on that leg has affirmed to me that business is the way forward for me from now on...
I'm planning a trip home for a month in January and am wanting to buy business class fairs for the journey but am unsure the cheapest/smartest way to do this. I have the money to buy it all out now. The economy only fares are around $3000 (£1500 ish)and to pay outright for business is $12000 (£6000). In my head I'm working out that if the last minute/upgrade at the desks are consistent, it's actually cheaper to do that than to pay outright. $3000 for the basic fare and then an extra $1000 for each long haul leg of flight would bring the total to $7-8k.
I just want to hear some experiences from people who maybe fly a little more regularly about their experiences of upgrading at the desk etc. Also what's the likelihood of a last minute offer again? I'm scared of running the risk of not getting an upgrade also due to lack of seats. I am well aware the only way to actually secure a biz seat is to buy one upfront.
Thanks so much
Recently I learned that apparently a lot of airlines have adjustable headrests and you can move them up/down. As a tall person I find it quite uncomfortable for my back. Is this available on emirates economy or is it only for higher classes or absent?
Flying from London Heathrow to Dubai. I don’t need a visa, I’m just travelling with passport. I can’t possibly imagine why 2 hours before flight would not be enough…
It’s my first time travelling to Dubai. Why does Emirates suggest on their website to arrive so early?
When do you guys normally arrive before your flight with Emirates?
EDIT: I made it to the airport 2.5 hours before the flight. Baggage drop off was self service and quite smooth. Security was slightly slower than usual but still ok. However, my seating group was called for boarding 1h before the flight, so definitely worth coming here early.
Hi everyone, I am due to fly from London to Dubai on the 16th of November, but I am really worried about the flight path that Emirates is currently taking through Iraq/ Kurdish region. I know they are doing this to avoid Iran airspace, but isn’t Iraq just as bad? I am a nervous flyer at the best of times, but this whole thing is making me question if I want to fly. Our final destination is Australia. Can anyone provide any reassuring or educational answers on this as I am probably over thinking it.
When you try to checkin to Emirates Airline, I get this error. Is this the same for others as well?
Hi, Is anyone able to generate seat maps for Emirates flights anymore? I can’t and I’ve tried other airlines and am able to get their seat maps
I’m using Dubai Connect for the first time and it’s my first time going to Dubai as well. It’s a 14 hour layover for my wife and I. How can we make the most out of it? Any and all recommendations are appreciated! Halal recommendations only lol.
TYIA!
So i was travelling from india to dubai on business class. It was my first time flying but i wasn’t tensed. When there was no turbulence, i got up and asked them where the washroom was. Surprisingly, they angry and told me to go back to my seat. It wasn’t during takeoff and no turbulence experienced. I couldn’t find the washroom. One male staff gave me rude look the entire time plane was landing 🥲
Hi, I have a flight booked in a few days in premium economy. I’m hoping to get lucky and get one of those promotional business class upgrades (the ones that don’t give you access to the business class lounge). Should I be calling emirates every few hours 3 days before the departure time? Thanks
Hello all! I’m currently in Thailand and we booked this trip as business class as we just loved it so much last time we came.
However.. I can see in my app I can upgrade us to first. It’s working out around £1400 each… business class is already unreal but of course everyone dreams of experiencing first class.
We will be coming from Phuket to Dubai. Then have a 5 hour layover. Then back to London.
Has anyone done it? Is it worth the extra money? We’ve never had it pop up in the app before offering the upgrade.
Just adding this will be the 777-300ER aircraft.
Thank you!
Hello all, Appreciate your inputs.
So I have a flight from USA to India with 9hrs layover in dubai.
I know this are too many questions but this would help people in future who are in same situation.
Hello, how many hours it take to do clearance for the transit visa? Is it easy process or we have to wait for hours? Secondly what if you only go out for few hours to visit the city and don’t book the hotel so what information you have to mention on the stay related question in the form? Thanks
I have the following options? What is the best seat to choose for Business?
