We just got our community mailbox opened up with someone with the master key. Just a reminder to get your mail daily. It's just a matter of time before they get to your neighborhood.
My partner loves cedar trees, and we're looking to hang out with some tomorrow! Any tips on the best ones around?
Target on Laguna is freshly stocked with Kendamil infant formula for any moms needing it! Hope this helps.
Have you encountered a snarky salesman like this? This is the worst one thus far for me.

edit:
I just dug the internet about Freedom Pros, aka Freedom Solar Pros, but can't find a local address or even California address. However, from their website, it felt more like a marketing cult than a solar company, they even sell clothing merchandise.
In my newly constructed neighborhood (with houses built after 2020), everyone already has solar panels.
Wife and I are looking for something to do, and curious if anyone knows of any "holiday feeling" places that are already decorated, that we can go visit - nearby towns, stores, anything! Thanks!
Hi everyone,
My son has an interview for a position in the office of Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen, and we’re trying to get a better sense of what the work environment is like. I’ve heard mixed reviews about her—some say she’s professional and a great boss, while others warn that the environment can be toxic and difficult to work in.
If anyone has experience working in her office or knows someone who has, I’d really appreciate any insights or advice. Trying to figure out if this is a good opportunity or something to be cautious about.
Thanks in advance!
He has super thick, straight, long hair that he’s been refusing to cut for years, but he’s finally willing to go shorter, like an undercut or one of those broccoli/llama looking hairstyles, I don’t even know. I just really don’t want to go somewhere that’s going to mess it up and have him sobbing about his butchered hair like his last haircut.
We are new to the area and my son who is 8 is interested in joining a sports team, soccer or football is his interests. Anyone know where I can sign him up?
Can anyone recommend me any forums or groups for real estate investing in Elk Grove?
I’m new to the area and I go to Sac State. Are there any girls, gays, or theys willing to meet up and hang out?!
I’m by Bruceville and Laguna!!
We have two flat screen tvs that are old and heavy and need to get rid of, and an old 3 piece stereo set. I know garbage won’t pick them up. I haven’t seen any E waste drop offs in a while. They’re taking up space 😭. Thanks.
We encountered this guy near Willard and Blossom Ridge. He followed me home and he is currently secured in my yard. Very friendly, but obviously scared.
I recently saw a house near this park and we loved it. we would like to know if its a safe area where we can jog at night or morning. thank you
Hi, I know this is a long shot but I’m looking for a friend. His name is Austin R. I don’t live in the area anymore so I can’t go looking for him. If anyone knows him or where he might be, please PM me. I think he’s homeless but not sure. Thanks.
Edit: Thanks to the people who are asking what he looks like. He’s 31, white, about 6’1-6’2ish and I’d guess his weight is around 180-190lbs, give or take, with brown hair and brown eyes. Last time I spoke to him, he mentioned hanging out around one of the parks by CRC.
Does anyone know if the warming center is happening again on Elk Grove Blvd and Waterman in the old Rite Aid? Huge uptick in homeless in the after and has steadily decreased during summer. Curious if the library is actually moving there.
My neighbor is converting their garage into a living unit and renting it out. They are doing it without a permit and I’m not fond of my next door neighbor having more people in and out of the house. My entire street is full of rental properties and the streets are crowded with cars already? Should I report the unpermited construction?
Hi! I’m new elk grove and looking to get a bus pass. Are they reasonably priced/easy to get? Also are they safe 🙈 I’m in my mid twenties and female
Thanks!
I was sleeping and heard what sounded like cars peeling out, then shortly after several loud pops a pause and then several more…
Listening to scanner now, sounds like a party and someone shot at it. Cops searching for a suspect now.
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations on where I can get my kitchen knives professionally sharpened in the Elk Grove area. Any local shops or services you’ve had good experiences with? I’d appreciate any tips or advice!
Thanks in advance!
I just got a text from the Ortiz campaign and started googling her. Her name came up at a school board meeting from last year: https://www.egusd.net/documents/District/About-EGUSD/Board-of-Education/Board-Meeting-Minutes/2023-05-02-Board-Mtg-Minutes.pdf
It says she and others:
shared concerns about; explicit books that are available to students and asked for their removal, requested information about the book selection process for school libraries, spoke in opposition of the adopted sex education curriculum and a response to public comments made about the sex education curriculum was requested.
I'm out of the loop. Does she want to ban books about gay people? Restrict sex ed?
I like Wheat's answers for the questions the SacBee asked her on their EG candidates voter guide: https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/election/voter-guide/article293166614.html
And I like Brian Pastor's qualifications and what he has to say on his website about his vision as mayor: https://pastorforelkgrove.com/
BUT! I just can't gauge well what their personal and political ideologies are, outside the realm of city/municipal management. Has anyone worked with them much? Have either of them raised any red flags for you? Anything that either have done to go above and beyond? Besides their qualifications and their campaign-related dialog, are they genuinely good, personable, patient, pragmatic, and without bias from religious ideologies?
I want to give fair consideration to all that are qualified and whom I can be sure will act in a truly non-partisan and secular capacity.
We got 285 kids, when the average is 170ish. Just about ran out of candy!
