There is quite the prevalence of Elitists on reddit nowadays, and the purpose of this subreddit is to find any elitism and link to it so that we can analyze the typical Elitist behavior and discuss how to make people realize that if you use a drop tuning....there's a 99% chance that it is Metal music no matter what the fuck you say.
This whole elitism bullshit is ruining the Metal scene day by day, when some of the best of the best like "Bring Me The Prada Burns Issues' Drive" are banned from /r/Metal.
It needs to end, and this is just the beginning.

We've all had it happen. You meet someone at a show or in a record shop or in Norway or wherever and you start talking about music. You're getting along fine. Then some utterance is phonated that dares insinuate your favorite chvgcore band is, shockingly enough, not literally Sarcofago. I know! Where do they get off?
So how do we prevent such an exchange from happening?
One simple question. Ask the person what metal is.
If the reply is anything but "everything," you've got an elitist.
