I'm nervous my ship is destroyed since it's parked in one of the stations
Specifically, will there still be rescue missions?
I haven't done any AX before so I'm not sure what to expect, thanks
About 3100 LY away. I did not think I was anywhere near its trajectory. Pretty disturbing on an otherwise relaxing exploration.
Got stuck like this for 3 minutes before crashing.
Welcome to all the troops. Either new to owning a ship or new to wanting to face the xeno menace. The Federal Navy needs you to help defend Mother Earth from the bugs.
We realise that not everybody can afford the equivalent of a battle cruiser. That's fine, EVERYONE can do their part.
Whilst our brave heavy hitters are concentrating on taking down the Interceptors, we need every man, woman or person we can get to keep the Scouts off our backs, or to provide vital repair services during a fight.
An A-rated Cobra Mk3 (or Viper or vulture) fitted with:
2 ax-multicannons
2 small pulse lasers (for shields)
Shutdown pulse neutraliser
Caustic sink generator
Hull reinforcements
Repair limpet controller (if you have space)
Bring that to the battlefield, kill scouts and keep our cruisers repaired and we will be in your debt.
Be sure to get at least 1 or 2 hits on an interceptor before we kill it to ensure you get the rewards you so richly deserve for your help.
We know you might not have time to get engineering done, but even if you only manage to see Felicity for some engine upgrades you'll see the difference.
For more help and to join is in our fight in the AX private group goto https://antixenoinitiative.com/
See you on the battlefield Commanders 07
Hello Commanders,
I am a noob, with about 60 hrs in the game, and after some grinding, I have managed to get some money saved to buy my first 'big' ship. I primarily want to do exploration, outside the bubble and I want to focus on exobiology.
As of now, I have about 26 Million credits saved, and I am a bit confused. I want to buy an Asp Explorer, but I have learnt that to have a good exploration build for the AspEx, you need a 6A fuel scoop, which itself is around 26-28 Million, so if I buy it now, I will start off without a 6A scoop. This has me confused, on, whether I buy my ship now, do some modifications for exploration, and eventually get all the mods that I need, because that gives me a ship with a much larger jump range, that what I have (a cobra mk 3 with 25 LY of maximum range), OR, should I grind more to get around the 50-60 M mark, and then I go ahead and buy the ship with the exploration build that I desire right away.
What do you guys think? I guess if I buy an Asp ex as of now, it will be mostly with the base parts, which I will modify (within my budget) to increase its jump range and fuel scooping capabilities, as much as I can, while having enough money for at least 3-4 rebuys. I also want to buy the ship and try to get back to SOL for evacuation efforts, which I don't think I have the skill to do with my current cobra mk3.
Input from more experienced commanders will be very very helpful.

Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
The first Sol entrance hyperdict in a thousand pax, with no hyperdict on the way out, and a 50m contract in the hold. Get dunked on, starfish.
I'm a little late to the announcement here but wondering if anyone has any info other than the current posted schedules on the FCOC back to the Bubble? Would love to do my part.
I have been a long time commander and loved elite for many years. Full HOTAS VR gamer the lot.
The feeling around this latest development in the thargoid conflict. It is so nostalgic. So special.
The feature set of the game right now, is just beautiful. Having been away for over 2 years, I returned to a DBX with a 67ly junk range and a mining python, in colonia.
I decided to leave the bubble when the goods showed up.
So I b lined home via sag * and got to finishing off all my engineering. And omg SCO has changed the game completely. And space legs, has such potential.
I did some conflict zones on foot and whilst it was a bit meh it was fun. I can only imagine the insanity of PvP conflict zones.
I feel the game is in an incredible situation overall. Sure, there have been a few dropped connections and weird laggy jumps. But then I literally did 35kly in like 6 days and had maybe 4 problems.
Spread word. We need as many guns on the front line as possible.
Get them in, and help them farm a couple hundred mill creds in their first play session. Get them in a better ship and on the road to AX
Bumping AK1200 Shoot to Kill
Hey there! A long time ago (before the titans woke I believe) I tried my hand at fighting Thargoid, but I was quickly swatted out of the way with my inexperience despite the days long grind for Guardian weapons.
I guess it was just not for me!
Now that my home planet is under threat, I can't just sit back and watch.
I refuse to transport any civilians to safety either because I can't stand family- let alone random strangers, tell me how to fly my ship. (Yes, Paul, boosting into a station is worth the repairs)
I got the AX TITAN COMBAT pre-built ship and took the hot shield off as instructed,
then replaced the two Class2 hardpoints with AX MISSILE RACKs as I noticed many others have done.
I can last quite a while against a regular cyclops, however I feel I didn't do much damage to the interceptor at all.
My gimbal AX MULTI-CANNONs were constantly firing and the hitmarks sounded like a malfunctioning pacemaker at a German underground rave party.. I feel I hit most of my missiles as well.
Still I ran out of ammo fully, while only one vent was destroyed- and that may have even been my friend in the Guardian fighter.
-I read somewhere "You need the enhanced Xeno scanner to make gimbals work", I got one, but I think all my shots went center-mass. Does this mean I need to target a sub-system?
-How do I use the THARGOID PULSE NEUTRALISER properly? I tried it multiple times but I can't seem to get the timing right. When I got the message of an incoming pulse, I started charging it completely and it still failed. Do I need to be quicker? Or do I need to catch the pulse while the bar is filling up?
-I have a CAUSTIC SINK LAUNCHER and I remember my old ship from long ago melting away rapidly.
But it seems like I don't take much caustic damage at all, did they change the caustic stuff since a long time ago? I assume I will need these only when flying in those clouds I sometimes see?
-Does anyone know when we will be able to actually hug it out with Thargoids? I mean really get into it, face first into their carapace/goop/shell/biomass/gelatin(?) chest. Like don't get me wrong they are not cool for killing us and stuff but so are bears and they are pretty nice to hug when you make peace with one.
Also I'm pretty sure I skipped the Post Captain rank somehow.
I have a whole bunch of stuff filling up an increasingly endless scrollbar due to no longer being able to hand this stuff in anywhere - the systems in question that I acquired these materials are seemingly "out of range" of anywhere when I look at any of my power contacts. And I can't sell them at any station bar, produces a transaction error if I try.
IMO whenever a system is no longer able valid to turn these in anywhere else, they should be able to be handed in to any of your power's fortified systems or something - maybe at a reduction of merits?
Unless there is something else more confusing that I am not understanding...
I think it is only SOME that cause this, not all. But doing everything one by one is also going to be a PITA
EDIT: I think it seems to be more likely to be caused when attempting to sell the same items but from different systems at the same time - in the example shown here trying to sell both extraction samples (from different systems) at the same time caused it, but if I sell one, then the other, it worked OK.

Is there a way to make the joysticks more sensitive to pitch and yaw? I find myself having to do the old waddle-stick trick to make fine adjustments while flying.
Does it work against the Goids and would it be of any use in the evacuation effort?
So a previous post talked about a community effort to find raxxla on triton. By kicking out the mother Gaia faction (and it seems to all point to triton being where raxxla is. And the moment they success which would unlock triton as a land-able moon, cocijo comes busting in.
It’s also important to note the next few bits of lore.
1.) a long long time ago (I believe when they were terraforming mars). A non human relic was found, it only states that it was non human and about the size of a child’s hand. That’s it. But the federation swooped in. Took the relic and it was never seen of or heard of again.
2.) we know the dark wheel, closely related to raxxla lore, state there are 2 factions of thargoid. A peaceful faction and a warrior faction, and they fight all the time. But we have never discovered how they know this nor has any successful known communication attempts been carried out with thargoids. And we’ve never seen this second faction or any evidence of the aforementioned conflict there of.
3.) FDev have repeated warned us against assigning human motives to an alien race.
4.) colonisation is now a dynamic in the game.
5.) we know Fdev have suggested the thargoid are searching for something specific.
So, my take of these series of events is that the it was discovered that this relic on mars opens up raxxla. Which is on triton. And has been a closely kept secret since. At some point the dark wheel came across and made contact with the peaceful thargoid faction who were being hunted by the aggressive thargoid faction.
The dark wheel in exchange for technology, like the frame shift drive, (interesting since the SCO came from thargoid tech). Used raxxla, presumably a portal to another universe, to hide away the peaceful goids as refugees.
To ensure that humanity, still connected to their bubble and cradle world, could ward off the aggressive thargoids, captured and took with them the agressive thargoid queen. Which the other goids have been searching for ever since.
At some point they discovered that their queen is in another universe and had no idea how to get her back. Hence the unknown universe projection you can conjure at large thargoid ground sites.
At some point during the salvation events, the thargoids figured out humanity has the key to getting to this new universe, and have been searching for it. And now they’ve found it. On triton. And the last remaining mothership is headed there now to activate it.
This could all lead to another universe to explore and colonise with the new colony dynamic with an active thargoid war between the two sets of goids.
I’ve done about 200 SOL missions but I do not see my federal rank advancing. What am I missing? Do I need to be aligned to a federal power to advance my fed rank? Still stuck at Duke 22
It seems so obvious now, but I have been ignoring systems with discovered worlds while looking for exo-bio signatures.
Ignoring that some of them were probably discovered pre-Odyssey. So any exo-bio available was added only after that world was discovered.
So now I'm checking planets if the system map doesn't have any mappings or footfalls.
Just now I got hyperdicted by a thargoid going into sol, is this common? I had no passengers or cargo.
A bit disappointed but the insane skill ceiling required is not something I have the time to put into. Was really hoping for something a bit more accessible but the barrier to entry is so insanely high I just can't picture myself spending months on months practicing FF-off, predicting swarm movement, etc. Especially since my flightstick can't make tiny enough adjustments to make fixed FF-off combat viable (I've already spent many hours FF-off testing what my stick is capable of). Back to human combat zones and hazrez ig, but kudos to the time and commitment some of ya'll have to manage it.
So I'm trying to help with evac... and got jumped leaving Sol. Fought it off and got a 4.5 mil credit combat voucher. What the hell did I just kill??
When on a mission I died on a planet and my ship is still on this planet but not in the dock. I am not even able to leave the station (only with APEX) How can i return my ship to dock?
As you are already aware, the invasion of Sol, our cradle, our mother, our womb, is expected to occur by next thursday. Tomorrow, Cocijo will be wihtin 30 light-years from Sol. Evacuation efforts are proceeding, but there's no guarantee we'll complete it.
As such, it is possible that we're standing at the fall of Earth. To ensure the evacuation succeeds, the Pilots Federation has issued this message to all available Commanders.
All pilots with Fleet Carriers or transport-focused vessels are called to assist in the evacuation. Fill your bays to the limit with passengers. Once full, jump to another system as soon as possible. If you linger, you'll risk being killed by Thargoids.
And to buy more time to ensure the transport ships leave, we ask all combat-oriented vessels, all vessels capable of fighting, to take part in a defense of Sol against Titan Cocijo. The Pilots Federation will not lie to you. We do not believe you can defeat Cocijo. We do not believe survival is a possibility. We believe that all Commanders who take part in this battle will never see their home again.
But for every half-hour we can delay Cocijo, several hundred more civilians will have a chance to escape to another star system. Though our cradle may fall at the hands of the Thargoids, the people there must have a chance to seek refuge elsewhere. But to those willing to fight, we ask you to step forward, one last time.
We will not go gentle into the night. We invite you to our last stand in the Thargoid war, one last battle to rage with all strength against the dying of the light!
Good luck, Commanders... may God be with you all, and may God save us all.
