Hi there everyone! I am posting this in the hopes of finding someone that has the computer skills to use the Maryland.gov LiDAR Download Tool and could help me with getting ahold of LiDAR scans of an area known as Wetipquin Neck. My ancestor, Julian Mezick, was the first colonial landowner of this area, around 1675. There are thought to be a couple of cemeteries in this area. I am hoping to pinpoint them using the LiDAR scans, and get one step closer to finding the resting place of his remains.
If anyone could download the scans of this area, I would really appreciate it. I can't figure the website out, and I'm pretty tech savvy.
Shot in style of Saul Leitner for any photo buffs out there.

I live in the Chester area, curious if there is anybody else on the Eastern Shore that loves movies and would be interested in seeing films together or talking about them?
I am an avid physical media collector (Blu Ray collection 450 deep and counting!) and enjoy also seeing new releases in the theater. I mostly go to the AMC Annapolis Mall and Landmark Harbor Center - but haven’t checked out Easton Cinemas.
If anybody is interested in a film watching community on the Eastern Shore, comment below or PM me!
I have a friend who’s currently studying aerospace engineering. She has to do a co-op position for at least 13 weeks in the spring. She’s applied to countless places, and most have seemingly completely ignored her. The handful of interviews she’s done haven’t gone anywhere. She’s running out of time and getting desperate, so she’ll take whatever she can get.
She goes to school in Ohio, so I was wondering if there’s any local stuff around here (I live in Salisbury, so preferably within an hour of there since she’ll be staying with me) that isn’t showing up in her university’s application system, which she doesn’t strictly have to use. She can directly apply to any position that fits the bill, anywhere in the country. As far as I know, the company doesn’t need to have any contact with the university, like you won’t need to regularly report in or anything.
Literally the only requirement is that she work for an engineer, the position is at least 35 hours a week and paid, and that it last a minimum of 13 weeks. Software engineers don’t count of course, because that’s what I do. sigh. But I think pretty much any other kind of engineer is fair game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

interested in starting a conversation. is there any semblance of a diy/indie music scene on the shore? if not, how can we encourage this culture in our area? as a resident musician, i feel this is something we lack, and would love to be a part of building this community.
i grew up in the easton/st michaels area, graduated high school in 2011. i somewhat remember my older brother going to punk shows occasionally in easton at what i believe was dance harrison street at the time, could be wrong, i was a little kid. i remember going to shows at the night cat in easton. i remember battle of the bands happening at saints peter and paul, st michaels high school gym, and the avalon. i actually played saints peter and paul and the avalon for those battle of the bands when i was in high school.
i know these events weren’t super prominent even at the time, but over the last decade+, it seems this has all gone away. seems the only venue we have for smaller touring or local original bands at the moment is cult classic.
i’m interested in how we can bring more original music to the shore, how to encourage multi band bills, and how can we grow this kind of community in our area. i for one would love something different to do here on the weekends instead of listening to a dj play at basically the only night life bar in easton.
recently i’ve seen that the record store in easton has had a few smaller shows. i haven’t been, but i will be checking it out and making a point to support them. i heard from a friend that the pub in denton has also had some multi band bills of smaller artists.
perhaps im asking too much of our small town area, but i can dream. anyone have any interest in trying to get something started? or at least work to promote the little bit we have?
Can anyone advise whether the work on Rt 50 in Cambridge is still ongoing? Are there traffic backups? Thanks in advance.
Anyone go to school in Princess Anne around 95? Maybe we know some of the same people. Hit me up to chat can be here or on kik at stiff2cee or telegram at hope2cu2
Are there any groups near or around Cecil county that are focused on feminism, women's rights and reproductive Justice?
We currently have a weekend place on the Potomac in Virginia's Northern Neck that we love, but the town is a little hick for us. One good coffee shop, one decent brewery with food, two other restaurants that are OK, and an awesome farmstand. That's it. We'd like to sell this place and buy one on the Eastern Shore in a couple of years as our someday retirement place. We love the St Michael's area, but of course it's pretty pricey, and we want waterfront. We're wondering what other areas we might target that might have similar appeal? Oxford seems like it has potential. Chestertown? What other areas should I have on my radar??
Seeking your best family-friendly spots between Annapolis and Cambridge., just for a weekend trip to explore.
We are from DC area - planning on relocating to the Eastern Shore, MD in the next two years.
We LOVE the water. Very outdoorsy, like history and cute walkable touristy spots.
Howdy, just moved out to the eastern shore in VA and wondering if I have completely missed the crabbing/crab boil season. Ideally would be able to go out on a boat for a couple hours, crab, and then have a fat boil, but all the tours seemed to be closed. Wondering if anyone knows where I could look this late in the season.
