Just moved to East New York near MLKjr park. Only been here for a couple days. Wondering if y'all had any must know information, or places that are a must see for this area? I've really been enjoying exploring my neighborhood, though getting used to seeing the streets covered in trash and old men with their pants down and covered in piss has been an adjustment. For the most part people mind their own business and I feel safe and relatively comfortable on my block.
I especially love parks, both nature and skate, and hidden gems. I want to get more into urban and abandoned exploration, and I love photographing street writing/graffiti.
If you have any leads on this kinda stuff hmu, I'm a 20 something dude who is pretty laid back and friendly. If you are into these things and wanna meet up dm me, let's test the vibe.
Who else get it on
Hi,
I am a graduate student doing a study on the East New York Farms- Farmers' Market. I was wondering if folks can provide some input by filling out a short survey?
Hello reddit community! I have been doing some research for quite some time and really got curious so I made this account for the sake of this post. It has come to my attention that East New York will be so called gentrifiying soon. However I TRULY have yet to see any white people or any yuppies or even hipsters in all of East New York. If any of you have seen them off of lets say Euclid Avenue(AC) for example, please tell me. I can find numerous numerous articles and videos on the gentrification in bed stuy but nothing for east new york tbh. I have seen less than 5 developments throughout pitkin and liberty for example but thats not going to really do shit in terms of gentrification. Please let me know in the comments below. I do not know how to tag this as serious but serious answers please.
