Hello. My niece is from Charleston, WV and will soon be attending Duquesne law school. I’m hoping for recommendations on where might be the safest place around campus to live. She does have a car. I’ve lived on Mt. Washington and the northern suburbs, but no clue where to recommend around the city for her to live. Any thoughts wild be appreciated.
Guys, we used to have shuttle for this route, doss any one of you know why isn’t it there anymore. This is one of the hotspots for off campus living people beside southside. What do you guys think??? Should we make a petition to the commuter affairs???
I just got provisionally accepted as a transfer for BA of Music from Stetson University, one thing we had over there was a lot of stuff going on at all times and a fairly tight knit community. How tight knit is the community here? What are the clubs like? How are the pop up events, if any? And where are good places to hang out and meet people between classes?
Curious if you've faced any discrimination and whether or not I want to change my common app essay to something that alludes to agnostism a little less which I probably ought to.
Hey guys, i’m a high school senior who has yet to make his college decision. I’m planning on majoring in accounting and going the grad route for a CPA.
I’ve received $30,000 a year in scholarships from Duquesne, and $5,000/year from pitt, making Duquesne tuition about $3,000 more a year
I would commute from North Versailles if I went to Duquesne (i’m worried about not seeing girlfriend dorming at Pitt)
I would dorm at Pitt (Very worried about dorm life and making friends, I come from a very small school and don’t look forward to communal showers and bathrooms)
I’ve always kind of wanted to go to Pitt, and my girlfriend is going there, but i’m very interested in Duquesne, mostly because I could commute.
What school is better for accounting?
I had an online math class my first semester. The professor didn't do a great job, and as a result, I withdrew from the class, taking a w on my record.
I retook the class the following semester and got an A, and I have a good GPA. Will duquense still accept me?
(I go to ccac, by the way)
Thanksgiving break is ahead of us. Please don't forget projects, papers, group mates, and check your syllabus/Canvas pages on Friday and/or Sunday of next week.
Give grace to yourselves, your peers, professors and instructors during the break. Enjoy time off, and don't leave things to your future self to deal with.
just want to say because i officially finally bought a new magsafe charger for my macbook if you took my charger last year during/right before spring semester finals screw you
I got a 2.8 uw gpa and a 3.5 weighted and a 1030 sat score, any thoughts of my chances getting in? I also have some extra carriculars
Hi all,
My current situation has led me to need a new housing situation ASAP. I'm having some difficulty finding places on FB / CL. I know that a large portion of students live off-campus in shared housing, and was wondering if anyone has an additional room for rent or needs a takeover. Flexible on location. 20, Male, looking at a hopeful budget of 400-700 per month.
Thanks for any replies in advance.
Guys, which bar do you go usually on weekends?? Is there any recommendations?
Hey all; I am currently in University of Houston (UH), and I am trying to transfer to here next Fall for BME as a will-be junior. I want to get a feel as to how this commuter school may relate to UH (i.e. socials, clubs, community, etc etc) -- since it is quite tough in gauging the university when it has not a lot of online presence.
Some things that I am hoping for:
Thanks!
So I found out the super fancy gym that’s across the osteopathic school is only for the team’s athletes. How is the power center’s gym? Is there a way we can use the gym across the osteopathic school?
Hi I’m looking to give up my 2025-2026 lease for HERE Pittsburgh which Is a fully furnished place. The space is a 3x3 meaning own room and own bathroom. My lease is $1429 a month not including water and electricity but those bills are divided up into 3 so it’s not too bad. It has a gym, patio, and deck and available parking for an additional price. I know the rent is pretty high but It’s a fully furnished place and close to Pitt campus and different areas and college.
This is for sale. I used it for half a semester. 1250
Its weird! How come we don’t have an active raddit? Two other universities here are buzzing in raddit. Do you guys feel like that???
Small school can’t be an excuse!
Hello all,
I am also considering other 3+2 programs, but for anyone who went to duquesne for their accelerated program, what are your thoughts on it? Is the cost worth it? Did you feel you got an adequate education? How was the environment and stress load? Did it prepare you well enough?
Thank you!
Hi, Niaz here, a graduate student, will start my class on 23rd. Would like to know about the social life? Like party, gatherings, meet ups, soccer….
Looking forward to these..
