Going through drive thru, if a worker asks “what can i get for you/how can i help you?” DONT give us radio silence. i will repeat it three times, say “whenever you’re ready” and then customers have the audacity to say “Hello??Hello???”. I’ve been working at my Dunkin for over a year now, and it’s getting so draining with people being so stupid, like actually have no common sense yet i’m the one giving attitude. Also, stop coming 3 minutes before closing time then get upset when the person taking your order doesn’t sound cheerful! Every store gets ready for closing time (ex. 9pm), not AT 9pm. some run out of coffee few minutes before closing so they don’t brew more, some turn off ovens or espresso machines, etc. it’s alright if it’s a simple drink and ordered kindly, but most of the time it’s just entitled people order 3+ espresso drinks and food😒
i think in the 90s...i even remember they had a mini coffee roll...they were so cute...
we get an order for a large hot vanilla latte and a large caramel iced coffee. this lady in what i assume to be her early 20's pulls up to the window and i cash her out. i hand her the drinks in a carrier and she looks at me like a deer in headlights. like genuinely bewildered. i think i might've gotten something wrong so i ask "is everything okay ma'am?"
she looks at me and asks in an annoyed tone "which one is which?"
i just stared at her for a few seconds thinking she's messing with me so i say "i'm sure you can figure it out". she got mad at me and said i was being unprofessional and she would never come to our store again and peeled out of our drive thru.
i'm tired man
I order a breakfast sandwich and a coffee pretty often ...there are 3 dunkin locations in my town no matter what location I go to there are the same results : I can either order 40 minutes early and get a drinkable coffee and a cold breakfast sandwich. Or I can order as I'm leaving the house, And choke down a sandwich with dry mount resisting the urge to burn my mouth with the coffee to eliminate my struggles to swallow my breakfast.
Also, if I show up too late in the morning I get burnt coffee. Both of these problems can be solved by lowering the heat at which the burners are maintained, And also lowering the temperature of the water as it brews.
Pretty sure that it's been proven that the best coffee is made with 198° water. Not 212
i hate the attitude i get i hate the barely whispering into the speaker i hate the literal SCREAMING INTO THE SPEAKER i hate getting verbally abused at the window because a customer literally MAKE ME REMAKE SOMETHING 3 TIMES with the excuse of "i don't like the way you made it" (SPECIFY!!!! TELL ME WHATS WRONG INSTEAD OF MAKING ME REMAKE IT THE EXACT SAME WAY!!!)
i hate being forced to do it EVERY DAMN TIME AS IF THERE ARENT 5 OTHER PEOPLE WITH ME
i hate the $40+ orders that take up so much time
i hate the "ermm is too late to add ____" at the window (not like they take no for an answer anyway!)
i hate asking 3 times if they're ready to order and getting straight RADIO SILENCE and then they proceed to throw a fit when no one takes their order
i just hate it. so much. please be nice to food service workers because believe it or not we are ACTUAL people!
Just curious if anyone has the 500 badge and if any rewards are given?
Is it normal for our local dunkin to not warm any sourdough sandwiches? If we order sandwiches with bagels or english muffins or etc, always warm. But they will not warm the sourdough sandwiches no matter what. Even the egg is cold and the cheese unmelted. We specifically order them toasted and they just won't. But I'm not understanding why this problem is only with the sourdough?
Thanks for any insight!
I usually order a large matcha latte with oat milk and some added hazelnut from Dunkin’. Can anyone please tell me how much caffeine is in a large matcha latte? I’ve scoured the internet and AI Google gives me a different answer no matter how many times I reword my question. I’m bad at math 😅 but the best I found was that a Medium is about 120mg.
Sometimes when I get a bagel with extra plain cream cheese, there still isn't enough (for me) so I'll add more at home, but it's not nearly as good. Just wondering if they use a brand I can buy somewhere else.
Not sure if this is a personalized offer? But a heads up in any case!
Edit: iced or hot
Multiple stores in my area (NJ) have reported all powdered and vanilla frosted with sprinkles donuts are discontinued. Munchkin packs have no powder anymore either. What’s going on?
just looking for ideas
Not a coffee drinker but everyone I knows says honey dew is better. The donuts, oh my lord!! Absolutely best. Dunkins leaves a wierd film in my mouth after, barely any frosting, and just terrible quality. Of course this is different store to store but I only know of one bout 20 minutes away that’s good besides that they are horrible tbh
I’m sorry like not to be disgusting or anything but I tried the Toasted White Chocolate Latte for the first time today and omg it tasted good however idk if this was just me but its caused a raging storm in my bowels (not trolling) maybe it’s something in it but I have been nonstop in the bathroom can anyone relate please tell me someone relates?? 😭
Currently have 1600 points, I don’t plan on using them anytime soon (started making coffee at home) so I’ll give you guys some free stuff :D
edit: I’m out of points now sorry :(
What’s your go-to iced coffee order when you’re all about flavor and not worried about calories?
Please specify how you would be ordering yours!
When I used to work at Dunkin in South Florida, 2022, a water was 17 cents. This week in GA I’ve been charged 27 cents for a large, 57 cents for a small, and free for a medium. Each time, I just said “I’m here to pick up a mobile order for (name) and I’d like to add a water please.”
What is the standard?
Does anyone know any good winter christmas coffee combos?
Are any Dunkin’ Donuts open on the Holiday, or will I have to go out and pick myself up a coffee this afternoon or evening to save for tomorrow? 😝
If I'm not in a hurry and go into the store, is ordering a box o' Joe a big deal? I'm having trouble figuring out how to order in advance. I need it tomorrow at 9:30ish but I figure if I go in earlier they'll have time to put it together. Just trying to not be an annoying customer
Ordered 2 cold brew to a store that was out of cold brew from the mobile app. Tried to cancel, the manager said to go through the app. Customer service sent me to a secondary person who said that I can come in and they’ll give it to me for free. I’m 2.5 hours away by car and requested a refund. Have been ghosted since. Called customer service who said they can’t do anything. Any other options?
*Update called customer service and asked for a manager. Got a call back a day later. They were helpful and got it sorted out in a few minutes.
I remember as a child in the 1980's and 1990's Dunkin used to carry a PB and Jelly donut. Jelly filling, with a peanut butter frosting and chopped peanuts sprinkled on top. They were my favorite, and I wish they'd bring them back! So, what kinds of donuts do you remember and wish they'd bring back from years ago?
