Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, everyone's favorite spot to take a selfie.

I am looking to have a community in the area. I have been living in the area for almost 2 years and I have made little to no friends apart from my neighbor and my bodega guy. I wanted to see if there is any social club that makes it easy to meet local people?
Hello, I live in DUMBO. I love DUMBO House, Lifetime, and Bathhouse. It feels like a full paycheck and full-time job to go to all three separately. I feel like DUMBO House lacks the gym facilities Lifetime has, and Lifetime lacks the spa space and vibes that Bathhouse has. I wish there were an all-in-one spot in DUMBO. Does anyone feel this way and have any suggestions?
Where should I take them in Dumbo? Breakfast, photo spots and thinking of walking over the Manhattan bridge. Suggestions?
Hi everyone there is a cat under the ramp to fontainhas cafe on Plymouth and Jay street.
It’s impossible to get under unless you are a cat.
Would love to help it out so the worst doesn’t happen.
If anyone knows any contact who’s good at coaxing out and trapping it so it can be helped or adopted it would be greatly appreciated. Already tried contacting many orgs they seem to be unhelpful or slow to respond, any direct volunteer assistance would be great.
Last night, NYPD had spotlights on the Manhattan bridge from a boat, car, and helicopter. Today, all the scaffolding under the bridge in the park is gone. It seems they (halfheartedly) attempted to block off that whole area. Anyone hear anything about what went down?
Does anyone know who is playing whale music all the time in dumbo? Who is the artist? What is the event? I hear it pretty frequently at night. I hear it playing loudly outdoors right now!
Anyone tired of the real skinny woman who follows people around asking them to buy her things, she’s kinda menacing. When I first moved I bought her a sandwich at the corner store on Jay and York and she asked the people at the counter if they had cigarettes like it’s my deal to buy her cigs.
Btw there are a lot of homeless people who are just fine in the neighborhood but this one is scaring my wife when she’s out alone cuz she gets in her face asking her to buy her things and following her and idk what to do about it.
I think she’s a drug addict because sometimes she’s yelling like crazy.
Anyone else have trouble with her or know who I’m talking about.
Israeli place with another location on the UWS.
Did this place close down? It’s been shut and curtains are drawn. If true, sad to see so many establishments go.
Some small food-related thing is being installed next to the little hobo post office, across from the cleaners/Al Mar.
Anyone got info?
I feel like it's been closed for weeks.

Of course they are not doing any of the more ambitious plans involving covers or tunnels.
This mostly seems the same-ish, isn't starting for another 5 years, and will take 5 years to finish. Pretty disappointing!
