Partner and I racking our heads as to what the classical sample in Escher - Oxossi is.. tia
Cotti & Cluekid - The Legacy
I saw a popular post on here talking about being embarrassed to listen to dubstep and most of you really should be because the artists I see recommended here are horrendous
And then u wonder why this shits not cool???
The A24 of dubstep. Idk how you’re listening to anything else
The song I’ve just released is ‘Enjoy The Ride’ by Conor Cayley
I’ve written in many different genres over the years, but recently people have been asking if I wanted to be a DJ for some events, and wanting to be able to play my own work, I’ve been making an effort to write specifically within the dubstep genre. I’ve always been a huge fan, but not so much of writing.
I’ve worked with other songwriting friends for a while and they’ve helped me pick up bits and pieces and helped me put together this track, and I’ve finally been able to release it publicly everywhere as of two days ago.
Would be super cool if you guys could give it a listen and provide some feedback or just any notes on it.
Love you crew, hope you appreciate it 🫶
Good night friends 🎶👌🏼

I NEED that riddim sound plssss.
Couldn't find such stuff online at all.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Hello, Omnirock here with my latest lil mix of unreleased dubstep tunes! Mostly do the deep/OG dubstep sound with some elements of techno, dub and breaks thrown in there as well.

Let me know what your favorite is or which tracks you ain't feeling, is all good!
If you dig, maybe check out some of my other tracks on soundcloud or bandcamp?
Cheers, and much love!
Heard a song last weekend at breakaway that Kompany played during his set. Don't have a recording but it samples cave Johnson's lemon rant. Wondering if anyone may know what it is or if it's just a live set specific vocal sample.
I often listen to "Brutalstep" mixes in YT, it seems more heavy and more bass driven, flirting with Metal sometimes and some "horror" samples. It transmits an "evil" energy toghether with the amazing chaotic energy of dubstep. It fits so well for me.
So I started to search about "Brutalstep" and didn't find anything. I found Deathstep but seems to be a completely different thing.
So, is brutalstep a true subgenre or are youtube thubnails fooling me? LOL. I like this specific "heavy" kind of dubstep but I don't know how to refer to it. What name should I use when refering to this specific kind of dubstep?
Also, i accept reccomendations of artists that make dubstep with those elements and this "energy".
The OG is awesome, the sub genres are awesome, the new shit is awesome and the sub genres after awesome. No matter what anyone says, this shit is all fuckin epic. Thank you.
This dude deserves more love
so like from my point of view is
POV: | too melodic | perfect blend (for me) | too dark can't vibe minimal melodic thing |
---|---|---|---|
Genre: | melodic dubstep | mainstream brostep | riddim, tear out |
Vibes: | mmmkay vibes | euphoria | hearing it just feels someone choking you to death |
Artists: | Au5, Pixel terror | Skrillex, Virtual Riot | Sudden Death, Marauda |
A person asked me what my favorite genre is, and I felt weird saying dubstep so I said bass music
Good night friends 👌🏼
Hi, so i've decided to do a VIP edit of my track "Marmite" and i've got stems for "Die a second time." Posting this so they get a chance to get used more than for a vip and a single remix. If anyone wants to try and remix one of those tracks, let me know either through mail (greferonthebeat@gmail.com) or on discord (grefer) and i'll send them to you. I don't want to do a competition but it would be cool if someone remixed those. I am not sure if i can manage a release to all streaming platforms but at least soundcloud/youtube should be okay.
