Drawing is the act of making marks on a substrate by moving something across it. Discussion, technique, gear, and all kinds of artwork are welcome. Make yourself at home!

Any tips to improve my watercolours always have trouble how to make layers and when to do lighter and darker washes

I have been illustrating a children's book for my work at my Alaska Native Tribe and am curious if y'all have any feedback about what I have created so far. The story will feel a bit choppy as these pages are just the spreads I have done. I need feedback for both pushing the illustrations to the next level, and the typography/typesetting. I want to make sure it is quality work I can have for a potential portfolio for children's book illustration. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm having a hard time finding critical feedback from my coworkers as none of them are artists.
