Dallas Apartment recs?

Does anyone have any apartment recommendations for either the Uptown / Oak lawn area or near University Park? Would preferably commute to work (near the Dallas museum of art) by either walking or taking the DART light rail. Currently thinking anything between $1800-2100 ish, but flexible as long as the apartment has good security and in a safe area.

Best car wash in the area?

Internet searches and reviews are all over the map, so I figured I'd reach out to my fellow downtown dwellers. What's your best recommendation on a regular car wash?

Moving to Dallas from New England - need info

We are relocating from New England to a job downtown Dallas. We are empty nesters with two large dogs so, we are not looking into buying a house just yet. I was wondering if downtown Dallas is safe enough to walk and take dogs to a park. We have two cars but could possibly get rid of one since one of us will be working within walking distance. I heard Main Street District is a good area but I have no clue. We like to be close to restaurants, shopping and cultural events. Couple of things: we are moving from Connecticut but have both lived in large cities such as LA, San Francisco. We are well travelled and not really looking for suburban living. We are looking into renting a two-bedroom apartment ($2k to 2.5k).

Visiting this weekend

Hi yall, my partner and I are visiting Downtown Dallas this weekend for a concert, but I was wondering what other stuff we could do during the day. I saw a lot of good suggestions in other posts, but is there anything we should prioritize since we are only going to be there for one day?

Aqua S in Victory Park

Has anyone noticed this place closing down? I walked by this week and saw tenant lockout paperwork on the door, and the lights were out. I haven’t been by in a couple days but the map says it’s open? Really hoping they don’t close down, it’s my favorite place to grab a treat in Downtown!

Office Occupancy

For those who work downtown as tenants for large law firms, Banks, and Fortune 500 companies, what are your preferred Class A office towers in terms of esthetics, technology, and overall building desirability.....?

If you were looking for Class A office space for your company's new Dallas headquarters which of the downtown office buildings would you choose and why? Renaissance Tower, One Main Place, Adolphus Tower, etc.?

Also--Does anyone know which of the Dallas high rise skyscrapers currently have the highest/lowest tenant occupancy?

Thanks

Mechanic reccomdation?

Looking for a mechanic for routine service on my 2019 Toyota Sienna. I live at the Farmers Market so really hoping for something in actual Dallas, preferably downtown. Most places I see recommended are out of the city

Where to meet new friends/dates

24M, been in the area for about a year, looking to meet new people and potentially start dating again.

I have a few friends from work (most people at work are older) but they mostly go out drinking, which I'm trying to avoid (also, I’m not good at approaching strangers at bars). I do come out for the pregame but it’s usually the 4 of us just hanging out which is cool but I’d love to meet new people my age

I've started volunteering—though most people there are older and I’m doing it more for the cause—and I’m joining a volleyball league soon, which I’m hoping will help expand my social circle. I’m also considering trying out boxing (probably mostly dudes but it sounds fun and I can still make some friends!)

I’m fairly social and get along well with people, but approaching strangers isn't my strong suit. I'm looking for more organic ways to meet people around my age (ideally without using apps).

Do you have any suggestions for hobbies or specific places where these hobbies take place that I can explore? Even if it's something I'm not familiar with, I'm open to trying new things (just not book clubs, bouldering, drinking, or D&D/board games—I find those tough to get. Any advice or suggestions or tips is appreciated
